In the improbable case that he could break free, all Nico could do for now is to try and stagger out of the pool to take a much needed breather... but even in that case, Euphemia could always chase him, due to his slow and weakened movements.

Euphemia was not ready for Nico to actually fight back, so when Nico tried to hip toss Euphemia he managed to get out of her grip but thanks to his weakened state Euphemia didn't plunge under the water and only stumbled a few steps forwards. Euphemia managed to catch herself before she took a dive and she looked over to the escaping Nico. Euphemia frowned as she started to move after Nico. "Hey, get back here Nico." Euphemia said as she reached towards the boy but only managed to grab Nico's swim trunks which Euphemia started to pull on to try and pull Nico back towards her.
