AV 13 Main Event: (C)Angel Vs. (C)Adrian "Unification" Match

Angel gritted her teeth after Adrian's punch, but then was shoved down into the corner. She hated this. She hated Adrian picking up the advantage. She hated the girl being able to wear her down like this. It was awful. It made the Latina feel like shit and made her feel like she couldn't back up her own words and threats.

She tried to shake off Adrian's punch as she sat against the corner, tried to clear her head. She heard the sound of boots hitting the canvas though, and looked up, just in time to see Adrian's knee rising straight towards her face. It was too late for her to react, and couldn't do anything but eat the attack straight on.

Angel's head snapped to the side as Adrian's knee slammed into it, leaving the Latina even dizzier than before. She let out a harsh cry, weakly reaching up with one hand, holding her face gingerly, the other hanging at her side. She needed to get back in the game, but her head was feeling even dizzier now, and all the world was a blur before her at the moment.

Adrian was loving this as her knee viciously collided with the champion's head, "You see that!?" She yelled out to the crowd, slipping through the ropes. "No help! No tricks! Just me, her and an asskicking!" she taunted as she dropped down to the ringside area. With Angel stunned and sitting in the corner, now was the perfect time to start making real progress and get herself a ladder. Trying to gauge which one would be tall enough before sliding it into the ring.

Angel's head rolled to the side, the Latina's chest rising and falling slowly as she breathed hard and heavy. She blinked a few times, vaguely listening to Adrian's yelling as she slipped out of the ring. She knew what Adrian was going for. A stupid ladder. She needed to stop that from happening yet.

Taking a deep breath to steady herself, she grabbed the ropes in the corner, forcing herself back up to her feet. She glanced over the ropes, seeing Adrian going for a ladder, looking them over to pick a good one. She moved fast, moving out of the corner and away from the ropes, hoping Adrian would be too distracted to notice her in action.

When the cosplayer finally had a good one and went to slide it into the ring, Angel suddenly went racing back towards the ropes, dropping into a sliding kick towards the outside of the ring, hoping to hit the ladder and send it back out, ramming it hard into Adrian.

"Why are all the good ones set up on the outside?" Adrian mumbled as she folded up a large ladder, these things were a lot bigger than first glance indicated and required a fair bit of balance and strength just to hold up, very difficult to maneuver, but she managed to get it sideways, placed one edge on the ring apron and started to shove, only for the ladder to shove back into Adrian's face.

"AHHH!" She yelped as Angel's baseball slide smashed the ladder back into the former cosplayer, sending her flat on her back on the outside, the ladder falling on top to add a little extra insult to the injury. She had really taking her eye off the prize there, not noticing Angel moving around again, and now she was paying for it by staring up into the lights.

"Idiot," Angel sneered as she slid out of the ring, watching the ladder send Adrian crashing to the floor. She stepped towards her, leaning down to lift up the ladder, then turned away from Adrian, back towards the ring, and slid the thing under the ropes for later use.

Then, she turned back to Adrian, stepping towards the woman once more. Leaning down, she reached for Adrian's long hair, jerking it to try and pull the woman back up to her feet again, where she would try to raise up another of her knees into Adrian's midsection while she considered her next move.

"Thought we said..." Adrian began, rolling over to all fours as Angel picked the ladder off her "...no dirty tricks?" She said with a hint of sarcasm. She hadn't wanted to be the first to use the ladders as offensive weapons, but now that Angel had opened the floodgates, the Mutually Assured Dickery was in play... once Adrian got back in this thing, which was easier said than done it seems.

"Gah!" She let out, her abs buckled once more by the Latina's legs "What is -cough- with you and knees to the gut?" She wheezed as she doubled over. Repetative or not, those knees stung, and she'd have to find some way around them. She couldn't just rely on waiting for Angel to fuck up and give her an opening like with the Irish whip, she'd have to stop Angel's striking while she was still firing away.

"Tricks?" Angel grinned at Adrian. "Using a ladder is perfectly fair in a ladder match, chica!" She shook her head at Adrian's second question, not wasting her time answering it. Of course she was going to keep doing something, if it kept working!

She moved to Adrian's side as the cosplayer doubled over, standing right beside her as opposed to in front of her. She clasped her hands together, and raised them up above Adrian. She needed to wear her down more, all over, as much as she could. She wanted to get this match over with fast, but her memories of last year's Avalanche were enough to keep her from getting anywhere near a ladder until she was sure Adrian was down for the count. Up came her hands, then straight down again they dropped, the Latina dropping an axe handle straight towards the back of Adrian's neck, hoping to floor the woman once again.

"Ngggh..." Adrian moaned as Angel's Double Axe Handle pretty much flattened her against the cold floor, once again forcing the former cosplayer to struggle up to all fours, this time with a tremendous pain in the back of her neck. At least now she had clarification that dirty tricks didn't include using the ladder as a weapon. Good to know, would have been more helpful about... 10 minutes ago when she was working through her gameplan.

Angel stood over Adrian as she went down, turning to the nearby audience and throwing her arms up into the air, letting a few cheers wash over her before she turned her attention back towards Adrian. Nothing wrong with doing a little bit of showboating for the crowd, after all. She reached down, going to grab Adrian by her hair again. She gave the woman another jerk upwards, trying to pull her back up to her feet again. This time though, she would then try to shove her towards the ring, trying to grab the back of Adrian's head and ram her face-first into the apron as they neared it.

Adrian winced as once again her hair was used to pull the former cosplayer back to her feet, grabbing Angel's wrists just to stop it feeling like the Latina was trying to rip off her scalp. The brief respite from Angel's showboating was over and it was back to trying to find a way to stall the champion's momentum, and more importantly, her own! Bringing up her arms, she slammed them against the apron edge to brace herself, trying to stop Angel from bouncing her head off the solid framework like a basketball before sending a quick elbow back, jabbing away to get some breathing room as she desperately tried to keep her face off the apron.
