Leah Shaw vs. "Amazon" Alaina Sanders

Alaina was clad in her two piece tiger print wrestling attire pacing and stalking through the back. She was on an uncharacteristic losing streak and she had enough. Tonight she was going to end it facing a relative newbie from Tension. The pacing amazon was going to crush this little lady and get back to her winning ways tonight. Alaina was the best Friction had, some little second rate Tension girl was not going to take it to her.

As her music played Alaina came out and was marching down to the ring, looking more stoic and serious than usual especially for a match like this. She flexed her biceps and nodded as she looked around the crowd while marching her way to the ring. "Who wants to see a little blonde bimbo get body slammed by a real wrestling woman so hard that she crawls back to Tension to wrestle little 120 pound weeb boys? I know I do!" Alaina said to the fans as she got to the bottom of the ramp and slid into the ring underneath the bottom rope. She stood tall and held her arms out, flexing one more time and striking a pose in the center of the ring before leaning casually against the ropes in her corner awaiting the arrival of Leah.

On loan again from Tension, but she never minded. The company always covered the travel cost and Tokyo was always a bit more fun, in her opinion. She had come without her brother, mostly because he didn’t get to travel for free if he tagged along. More recently he had been good about giving her space when it came to working in the ring. Maybe it was because his career had been rather middling, or the fact she was the one supporting them both with her matches. Either way, she had been sure to check up on him with a phone call or two while she was out of town.

This was a big one tonight, showing down with another former champion, and a more recent one at that. She was pretty familiar with Alaina, even before she ever dreamed about joining AFW she recalled seeing her and Julia Rogers in the ring. She had to keep her fangirl levels in check though, tonight she was representing Tension after all.

When her music hit, the arena exploded. While the young rookie hadn’t ever managed to capture gold since joining AFW, her close successes had earned a spot in the fanbase's heart. They wanted her to succeed and voiced it loudly with cheers as she appeared on the ramp. She put her fists on her hips, striking a proud pose with her chest puffed out and her sparkling smile on full display.

As Leah approached the ring, she maintained a connection with her fans, acknowledging their outstretched hands and reciprocating the excitement. The genuine joy in their reception fueled her even more. She was in her element, relishing the moment and paying it forward. When she reached the apron, Leah turned back to throw up a V sign with her fingers, pumping a fist to keep the good energy flowing from the crowd.

Rolling under the bottom rope and springing to her feet. She traveled from one end of the ring to the other, climbing up onto the ropes to look out into the electric crowd and soak in all the positivity. Hopping down, she gave Alaina a small nod and headed to another turnbuckle to do the same, having to avert her eyes due to the sheer amount of camera flashes. She dropped back, turning to face her opponent with a wide smile.

“I’ve actually wrestled a bunch of guys way bigger than you and they were definitely more than a hundred twenty pounds… Beowulf is like, the size of a dump truck” Leah tucked a few strands of blond hair behind her ear. “Also, I’ll probably be heading back to Koyoto by train. Crawling would take foooooorever.” A flash of a smile, genuine and sweet.

Alaina watched as Leah came down and the scowling amazon just shook her head a bit and stood with her hands on her hips as Leah entered the ring. Alaina stepped out and stood tall flexing a bicep and kissing it. "I am sure but he didn't have the ability of the amazon honey. Just don't cry too much after I bodyslam that bouncy backside of yours to the canvas. Shake a shaky leg honey." Alaina said stepping up to Leah. Another blue eyed blonde like Gwen... a woman Alaina needed to get her hands on again.

For now, Leah would do.

As the bell rang Alaina reached out to grab Leah and yank her whole body closes she swung her leg up looking to smash the abdomen of Leah with the biggest, fastest knee strike she could muster right at the start to hopefully put this little blonde bombo on her knees in front of the mighty amazon!

“Yeah, probably not, I guess. I think Amazons are traditionally female, so it makes sense.” Leah furrowed her brow at Alaina’s words. She didn't look offended as much as bewildered. She blinked a few times, head slowly cocking to the side as she unpacked what was said then came to her conclusion about what it meant… though she was a bit off base. “Ladies over here cry when they lose? Gosh, I watch the television taping all the time in my apartment and I never knew. That's totally not something that happens over on Tension. Maybe it's something to do with the water in Tokyo?”

Leah looked between her legs, unsure which one she was supposed to be shaking when the bell rang. Before she had even looked up Alaina was on her, wrenching her forward while she was caught by surprise. The dull smack of Alaina’s knee hit hard enough to bounce Leah’s body up in the Amazon’s grasp, but something was off. The sound. Hunched over, Leah had her arms crossed protectly over her stomach and had blocked the blow though her arms were going to really feel it later. The young blond stepped in, hard, throwing her weight to the other woman’s midsection, using her lower center of gravity to try and shove Alaina back slightly while she ducked back after, to pull away.

“Ha! My brother does stuff like that when we spar!” Leah responded rather chipperly to the early aggression, immediately charging forward to follow up. She would shove her shoulder out in from of her, trying to slam her weight fully into Alaina before unleashing a European uppercut intended for the Amazon’s chin.

To say that Alaina was getting pissed was an understatement. She landed the knee but it was blocked! Alaina feltnthe jab and thrust into her hard abdomen but the uppercut snapped Alaina's head back! She stumbled back a couple steps anticipating Leah to pursue. She swung her leg up thrusting forward with a toe kick aimed at the abdomen to stun Leah in return!

The clap of her European uppercut drove Alaina back and left Leah to follow through with the motion, turning it into a flourished twirl on the ball of her foot. A little added showmanship never hurt anyone, normally. In this particular case, the brief moment her back was to the other woman gave her the time she needed to secure her footing. Following in hot pursuit, the blond came in with arms raised, looking to initiate a grapple with the veteran only to be caught by a hard boot to her abdomen that left her stumbling back on.

Ok... a reset. The amazon and the punky blonde were more or less back at the start. Alaina would take the reset of circumstances. Leah also seemed to want to grapple. That was also acceptable to the amazon as she now stepped forward to try to lock up with Leah.

Alaina wanted to muscle and use footwork to get Leah into a corner where Alaina wanted to grab the middle ropes and thrust inward looking to use her shoulder as a battering ram on the exposed surprisingly muscular abs of her opponent!

Alaina came rushing in as Leah was still reeling from the kick, taking advantage of the moment to lock horns whe. The rookie wasn’t ready to contest her. She tried all the same, getting only a sloppy grip of the amazon as she was walked backward, boot heels squeaking in protest against the mat until she was driven into the turnbuckle with a hard impact that rattled the ropes and jolted her spine.

Alaina kept her sandwiched in tight, only stopping to drop low and throw a broad shoulder into her exposed midriff. Leah let out a wheezed groan as she was hammered hard in the abdomen, her feet briefly popped off the ground as she was nearly pushed between the turnbuckles and ropes.

She wouldn't go quietly though, bringing both her arms up she interlocked her fingers and swung down as hard as she could, attempting to clobber Alaina across the head and shoulders with a big axe handle smash while her back was exposed.

"Oomph!" Alaina groaned as Leah hammered her upper back! She backed off and stood up, this time sending a hard chop across the chest of Leah while she was still in the corner. The amazon would follow up with a hard forearm to the upper chest to club Leah back before stepping back a few steps. She was really going to show her a battering ram now, running to close the gap while lowering her shoulder to plow Leah hard into that corner! Alaina wasn't going to let her get off that easy...

The crack of a hard chop across her chest was sure to rouse her from any grogginess, the aching sting was one she was familiar with. She grinned her teeth through it, drawing in a hissed breath as she took the pain. Without hesitation she stepped in and fired back with a backhand chop of her own, clapping Alaina with a loud crack. The forearm knocked her back into the turnbuckles again, shaking the ring ropes as her body slumped into them slightly. Her arms reached up, grasping hold of the top rope for support.

Though her head was slightly lowered, she watched Alaina prepare to rush her. At the very last moment, she kicked off the mat, leaning into the turnbuckle to pop herself horizontally just as Alaina barreled through, leaving the large woman to collide with the turnbuckles and ringpost. When her jump reached the peak, she would come back down to sit across the Amazon’s back in the corner. She threw her weight forward, hooking her legs to catch the other woman's arms, and tried to flip them backward out of the corner into a style sitout slam which Leah would hold, going for an early pinfall attempt.
