Cross Promotional Tag Match: Akamatsu' s vs. Irish Amazons

Makie heard her opponent give a loud scream before she was thrown off of her, tumbling onto her back as Peggy broke the pin. Chest heaving, she grimaced as she looked up at the ceiling, unable to believe that Peggy had kicked out. Truth to be told, she didn't know what she had left as well at this point: after the battering that Alaina had given her, her body felt heavy with exhaustion. She wanted nothing more than to lie down at this point.

Instead, with a loud yell, she flung herself on top of Peggy again. At this point, though, she had no energy left for any fancy moves or a pinfall-- instead, she hugged the Irish girl close to her, trying to get an arm around her throat in an effort to lock in a frontal sleeper hold as she lay against her prone opponent!

Peggy was weakened, and unable to fight back as the smaller woman pounced on her and succeeded in locking in her submission! Peggy legs weakly but rapidly kicked the mat in a panic and her arms flailed about! She tried to claw at Makie but she was too hurt to power out.

Peggy flopped about like a fish out of water, ineffectively attempting to escape. She groaned and let out a moan of agony as she was stuck and seemingly unable to do anything about it!

Makie's head lay to the side, eyes screwed shut and teeth gritted as she squeezed relentlessly into Peggy. She felt the Irish girl trying to pry her off, but she held on, the close contact causing her breasts to mash together with her opponent's.

By this point, the crowd was on the edge. Was this it? Would Makie secure the win? Or would Peggy escape? With Kyo out of it, if Peggy managed to break free and tag Alaina, it would be all over...

Peggy howled in agony, embarassed by the fact that a woman 20 pounds lighter than herself had locked her in so securely. Peggy felt like she was on the verge of passing out, and her head throbbed. She was determined all match long to show that she wouldn't hinder the team by being the weak link.

However, the crowd watched as Peggy meekly tapped out, her nearly limp arm the only part of her moving at all as she felt she cost her team a debut win, and felt her actions served only to demonstrate what she feared most....

...she was the weak link.

On the outside Alaina cringed and her head slumped down as she heard the bell ring. The debut of the triumphant Irish Amazon's was not at all triumphant. She knew she had to work on Peggy's damaged prude before anything ring-wise. Alaina waited for Makie to get off Peggy before making her way over and kneeling next to her.

Makie's breathing was steady and controlled as she squeezed into Peggy, pouring everything left into one last sleeper hold, feeling Peggy's warm breath on her shoulder as the other girl cried out. Either Peggy would pass out from this, or she would-- or worse, Peggy would escape and tag in Makie. Just as Makie was reaching her limit, though, she felt Peggy tap her shoulder.

The bell rang. Relaxing her grip, Makie lay against Peggy, catching her breath after this exhausting bout. She wanted to say something to Peggy at that point, to remark how goddam tough she and Alaina were, but she was too exhausted to speak. Slowly, though, the referee rolled her off of Peggy, letting her flop onto her back next to her downed opponent. Nearby, Kyo stirred, and began the long and painful process of trying to sit up...

Alaina knelt next to Peggy and put an arm on her shoulder. "Peg, you did all you could. So did I.
They were the better team today." Alaina said matter of factly. She herself felt like they let Friction itself down, but that would be remedied by going to the gym and making sure this outcome did not happen in their next match.

"I blew it Allie, I came up short again.
I won't be the weak link anymore though. I will hold us up next time." Peggy said meekly, unable to look Alaina in the eye.

Makie's chest heaved as she caught her breath, a little too exhausted at that moment to celebrate her win. Slowly, though, she rolled over onto her hands and knees, and crawled over towards Kyo to help him into a sitting position. Her brother was shaking his head dizzily, still somewhat out of it after the beating he took.

"What happened..." he groaned, rubbing his forehead as he tried to blink away the cobwebs.

"Hey, it's okay," Makie said as she helped Kyo upright. "We won."

Kyo made no reply. Instead, he gave an out of breath nod and embraced his sister; the two of them hugged wearily in celebration of their win, before Makie began to help Kyo up, supporting him on her shoulder as the two of them rose slowly but steadily to their feet. Turning to their opponents, the Akamatsus hobbled over to the Amazons.

"Hey...I just...want to say...that was a tough match," Kyo said as he still struggled to regain his breath, sweat dripping from his hair as he extended a hand towards Alaina. "To both of you. I see now why you two are some of the best in Friction."

Allan helped Peggy up, holding Peggy up as much as Peggys own two legs were as well as noting that Peggy was more interested in staring at the ground then looking up. When the Akamatsu siblings approached Alaina quickly elbowed Peggy to get her to look up. "Thanks you two fought very well and are an amazing team. We will get there soon enough though." Alaina said with a smile shaking Kyo's hand and looking him in the eye. "Thanks for the match."

Peggy was much quieter despite having talked a bit more during the match. She was wrong about crushing those Tension siblings that was for sure. She was the one who ate the loss for her team. She meekly looked at the two, giving them a nod and wave. "You two were better than us today. Congrats on the win." She finally managed to bring herself to say.

Kyo shook Alaina's hand firmly, smiling at the Amazon despite his weariness. Alaina Sanders and Peggy McIntyre had been everything their reputations in Friction had said they would be: tough, versatile competitors who fought with skill and strength rather than any fancy gimmicks. "You give yourselves too little credit, Sanders-san," Kyo replied. "It took a lot just for Makie and I just to keep up with you two. If anything we were lucky to win against someone of your level."

Makie glanced at her brother, and looked as though she was about to protest when she noted how down Peggy looked, and immediately thought again. "Yeah, I...ow...think I'm gonna feel this match for days," she grumbled, rubbing a hand through her hair. "Seriously, though, you two were awesome in this match. Both of you." She smiled a little. "Which is why we'd be happy to run into you two again any time you want if you're looking for a spar or even a friendly drink. And by we, I mean Kyo."

Kyo spun to face his sister, his face flushed red with embarassment. "M-Makie--!" he stammered.

Makie chuckled. "Oh come on, we all saw how bashful you got around them at the start of the match," she teased. 

"I wasn't!" Kyo protested. "And...and besides, you shouldn't go around saying things like that!"

"Ohohoho, getting defensive huh?" Makie sneered. All she really wanted, at the moment, was to lighten the mood, to make sure everyone left on good terms and feeling better. After all, she recognized that deflated look in Peggy's eyes-- she'd seen it in the mirror often enough herself, and didn't wish it on anyone, even an opponent.

Alaina chuckled and smiled. "That doesn't sound too bad, maybe we can get together sometime." She said with a smile to the two siblings as she helped Peggy remain upright.

Peggy was doing her best to put on a smile and she nodded in agreement. "Yeah sure, I am always cool with that." Peggy said with a smile. She was still pissed off at herself for tapping out, for not being able to escape and for failing Alaina. Sonic Boom was a great team, a team whose 'power couple' format had since been duplicated but Alaina and Julia were the first. Peggy knew she was the fill-in for the departed Julia, the weak link of the team, and the lesser talented wrestler. She had to get better so she could for once in her career prove doubters wrong.

"You two enjoy your time in the spotlight now, we'll get out of here and stop hogging the ring." Alaina said as she helped Peggy to the ropes and the defeated team began to make their way up the ramp.
