While she wasn’t heavy by any stretch of the imagination, Maiden was hardly a waif. Lifting her was one thing, many wrestlers could do that, but a military press? That was something reserved for male wrestlers, in her experience. Not something she expected to see in a female wrestling ring, ever.

It seemed that Alaina felt differently, however. She lifted her up with seeming ease, hoisting her to sky like a sacrifice while the crowd looked on in awe. And what came up eventually came down.

And come down Maiden did, falling hard on her side. It was all she could to do roll away afterwards, making her way to the outside of the ring and fall on the mat. Not the most glorious moment of her career, but she needed the breather.

Alaina watched as Misaki rolled away. If she thought that the outside of the ring would grant her refuge she was horribly mistaken.

Alaina rolled underneath the ropes, landing outside on her feet. She bent down to yank Misaki up by the hair and she dragged her over to the announce table, looking to bounce Misaki's head off the hard surface!

Maiden had been thinking that ringside would be a temporary safe haven, that her foe would relent long enough for her to get her bearings, but she was sadly mistaken in that.

For whatever reason, her opponent was singularly driven today, and in no mood to give Maiden any leeway. She had scarcely put any distance between them before the Amazon abruptly closed the gap and grabbed her by the hair, earning the referee’s warnings - if Alaina paid her any heed, Maiden didn't notice.

The next thing she knew, her head was being bounced off the table with terrible force, a blow that sent her reeling away from the Amazon. She managed to stay standing, but her steps were wobbly and she was in full retreat, looking for even the smallest reprieve.

Alaina saw Misaki stumbling and reached out to grab hold of her.

"FOUR!"

The referee's count continued on like the march of time, never stopping. That meant Alaina had a limited amount of time if she wanted to keep taking the fight to the pesky maiden out here. She tried to grab hold of Misaki, holding her up across her chest parallel to the ground. From here Alaina would try to charge forward and ram Misaki against the ringpost as hard as she could lower back first!

"FIVE!"

Maiden was trying her best to outpace Alaina as they moved about the ring, but the Amazon was relentless, giving her no time to catch a breath. She’d scarcely taken a few steps away when found herself once again in the former champion’s grasp, hoisted up with ease, like she weighed next to nothing. With muscles like Alaina’s to work with, she might as well have.

To call what happened next ‘painful’ wouldn’t have been inaccurate, but it would certainly undersell the agony she experienced. When Alaina rammed her into the post, she let out a cry of pure anguish as her back went into frantic spasms, losing control of her body for a moment.

"SIX!"

The impact earned a gasp from the audience and Alaina seemed sure that she finally succeeded in shutting up her foe. Still holding onto Misaki Alaina raised her high and then brought her back crashing down across her know eek for a back breaker!

"SEVEN!"

If this were successful Alaina would slide her back into the ring underneath the ropes to stop the count.

After the hit against the post, Maiden thought her sorry state could hardly get any worse. She was quite wrong in that assumption.

Getting dropped on Alaina’s knee was worse, far worse, and the scream that flew from Maiden’s lips was blood curdling. Before she could even indulge in the privilege of suffering, she was thrust back into the ring by the merciless Amazon, entering it in far worse shape than she had left.

Determined as ever, Maiden rolled to her front and tried to push up, but she was unable to even make it to her knees before her back ceased to cooperate, plopping her down flat again.

Alaina saw Misaki's body language and knew that she was done. Alaina dragged her away from the ropes and rolled her up with a matchbook pin!

"ONE!"

She knew the maiden was tough, but this pin and the beating she took would take tremendous will and energy to kick out of. The amazon had to admit the maid had the will. And then some. She held firm trying to secure the pin and the victory right here and now!

Maiden could not lie - the thought of simply laying down and giving up and letting the pain be over was quite tempting. She was certainly hurting enough for it, and if her body had a voice, it would’ve surely begged her brain to admit surrender. It was hard to find a muscle that wasn’t aching.

But Maiden had a responsibility. A duty to Gwendolyn. She had to uphold the honor of her mistress, and to that end, she would fight on. Regardless of how good or bad an idea it was.

”2…!”

The referee raised her hand for the final count, brought it down, and was less than a foot away from the final slap when Maiden weakly raised her shoulder, beating the count with virtually no time to spare. Determined and driven, she’d escaped the pinfall, for all the good it would do her.

Alaina was in shock at the maiden. She stood up and almost seemed at a loss. How would she go forward from here? Misaki was still.down, and would hopefully stay there a second.

The amazon rushed to the ropes jumping up and springing off the middle rope sailing back at Misaki with a hard elbow drop!
