Kurai vs. Songbird

Songbird's combo worked well against Kurai and now she's on the ground. Most fighters nowadays would go for a submission hold in this scenario, but Songbird wasn't most fighters. Instead, she would back off and still maintain her fighting position, waiting for Kurai to get back to her fighting stance. Meanwhile, she would taunt, "What's wrong, Kurai? Too fast for ya?"

Kurai eyes widened in shock as Songbird taunted her: her speed was a point of pride she refused to surrender. "No no, it was fast, but you just caught me being stupid." She smiled, a seemingly friendly smile, but it all fell away as Kurai launched foward at full speed. She would plant her left foot right in front of Songbird, as she tries to deliver a kick to Songbird's head. If that fails, she try to go into a counter-measure, by dislodging her left foot and going for a sweep while crashing down on Songbird with her right leg. "How's this for fast?!"

"Hmm, good comeback." replied Songbird as she watched Kurai stand up with a friendly smile. But it faded fast as she went to Songbird with full speed. Songbird was caught with surprise when Kurai planted one foot in her gut and the other to deliver a kick to her head. "OHG!" she cried out as she felt the pain from both her gut and head and hit the mat hard on her back. She would groan as she tried to rub her face to regain her focus.

Kurai felt the manuver work perfectly, and a real smile came to her lips now: this girl would regret challenging her speed. Following through with no mercy, Kurai would attempt to grab her by the hair, pulling her to her feet as Kurai would rain in punches, not overly strong, but very fast; to her face, chest and ribs, wanting to work with her entire upper body. "How's this?!"
After a while if this works, Kurai would step back and let her opponent breathe.

As Songbird was trying to recover, she would cringe in pain as she suddenly felt Kurai grab her by the hair and pulling her up to her feet. Then she felt very fast punches raining down on her face, chest, and ribs and she would cry out in pain with every few punches dealt on her. She was relieved though when her opponent released her and she fell on her butt in trying to recover once more. After several pants, she would say with a smirk, "I must say, Kurai, you are no pushover."

Kurai felt no pleasure in the battering of her opponents body, in fact, she was usually only this aggressive against guys, but the speed comment had annoyed her quite a bit, but she relieved the anger throughout the assualt, and she felt calm now. Then her recovering opponent complimented her, Kurai gave a genuine smile, "Same goes to you, not many people can catch me with speed, whether I'm being stupid or not." She politely stood in the middle of the ring, in her most nuetral stance, waiting for her opponent to recover, "I do hope were not done yet though, I've barely warmed up." she would say smirking, trying to get her opponent to get up faster so they could continue.

Songbird was glad that her opponent gave her a chance to recover, within a few moments she was back up on her feet again and into her fighting stance. She would smirk and say, "That I know, so let's get on with it shall we?" And with that, she would start to run towards her opponent before rolling towards her. Then, she would jump and attempt to plant her feet in Kurai's stomach while her hands on her shoulders to perform a monkey roll by rolling on her back and tossing Kurai forwards.

Kurai smiled as her opponent got up, excited to continue their match. At her comment, Kurai knew she was ready, and so she locked in her stance as Songbird charged. Kurai had been expecting a strike of some kind, and the shock showed on her face when Songbird instead rolled towards her before striking quickly. "Uff.." Kurai grunted as she felt Songbird plant her feet in her gut. Trying to keep the match's momentum her way, Kurai would attempt to grab onto Songbird's shoulder, preventing the actual throw, and turning it into a tussle to try and get on top of the other girl.

"What the!" cried out Songbird as Kurai took advantage of the position and turned the move against her. It now turned into a tussle which made Kurai go on top of her. Gritting her teeth, Songbird would try to grab her head and roll to the side to change positions. If this worked, Songbird would be on top of Kurai and go for a rain of punches to her face.

Kurai's quick sigh of relief was short-lived, as Songbird would not let her have a moment of rest. She felt Songbird forcefully grabbing her head and rolling to the side, and with Kurai's strength a little weakened from the kick, she felt herself tumble as Songbird landed on top. "Ahh!" Kurai would yell out as Songbird would continue her offensive and begin raining down punches. Kurai blocked as many as she could, but her forearms were stinging badly from such a beating.
