Yona Giovani vs. Hikaru Sawazaki

Hikaru was hit and sent down to the mat which very much shocked her as she had quite a size advantage over the lightweight competitor across from her. Hikaru got up and shook her head, running right at Yona. She ran straight for her but she would duck and roll to try to run past her, bouncing off the ropes behind Yona. As Hikaru ran back with the increased speed and momentum she extended her arm looking to hammer into Yona with a clothesline!

Yona, seeing her opponent rushing at her, threw a soft left jab, but missed completely, her opponent running past her. She was confused for a moment, before looking back to finally realize what Hikaru had in store for her. She tried to quickly put up a weak guard, but was too late as her back banged on the canvas like a drum; she had been knocked down, not even realizing until it was too late. The brunette fighter anxiously caught her breath, lifting her upper body upwards with her arms to slowly pick herself back up. However, she was far too open to further attacks by her opponent and she knew it. She gritted her teeth, prepared to tank anything the pathetic opponent of hers had to offer.

Hikaru managed to take down Yona and she wanted to keep her momentum rolling. Hikaru saw Yona rising and grabbed her by the head. Hikaru wrapped her right arm around Yona's head while pulling her up, but this was very temporary as she fell back, spiking Yona's head to the mat with a DDT!

Yona gagged, her opponent far more adept with wrestling moves than she was. She quickly collapsed back onto the mat, not unconscious, but far too disoriented to fight back. The brunette placed a hand over her own neck, coughing slightly as she subtly rolled around in pain.

Hikaru was taking control and she opted to try to keep things down on the mat now. She propped Yona up to a sitting position as she knelt behind Yona. Hikaru wedged her shin against Yona's back while reaching around to wrap her hands around Yona's chin to lock in a reverse chin lock to keep building her momentum.

Yona grunted loudly, squirming her hips left and right, trying to get out of the submission hold. Her teeth gritted against each other, the pain starting to set in. However, it didn't last long as Yona tried to keep her composure, picking up her opponent on her back and slamming her down onto the canvas.

Hikaru was caught entirely off guard as the smaller grappler managed to escape her hold and used an usual power counter to do it. Hikaru went up and then crashed down hard to the mat, groaning in pain as she kicked the canvas knowing that her momentum had come to a total stop as Yona managed to take control of the match with her counter.

Yona quickly kept her momentum going, circling her opponent—leaping on her in retaliation. She sent her knee into her stomach, repeating it several more times. "Was that all you've got, ehh?!"

Hikaru groaned as the knee strikes kept coming and after the third one Hikaru looked to be feeling it. However Yona was content trying to keep doing the same thing so Hikaru shoved her one way while rolling the other. While she was still on the mat trying to rise back to her feet she wasn't laying there getting pummeled anymore, a small consolation at this point as Hikaru attempted to stand.

Yona quickly steered her body back on its feet, instinctually pouncing at her opponent once again as she met eyes with Hikaru. She sent a kick toward her jaw, sweeping her legs and making her fall back down. She grinned, taking advantage of the fact that she was close to the ropes, tying her opponent's hair to the ropes in a humiliating display of weakness.
