Pokemon Go

What I noticed today is that, contrary to what logic might dictate, if you get too far away from populated areas you won't actually find any Pokemon. Whereas in the real world that's where all the actual animals are. It's possible that at the golf course near you things were just too far away from the road for Pokemon to appear. Maybe? I don't really know for sure.

It does occasionally seem random, though. I walked around my yard and my neighbor's yard for twenty minutes last night and found squat. I was barely paying attention today and got a Gastly and two Rattatas.

R.I.P no Pokemon Go for the Netherlands.

I have a windows phone, so no Go for me, but I don't get the hype.


Seems like a way to trick people into exercise, or just make them look stupid.

Trust me, I feel stupid carrying around an iPad tapping on it wildly since I don't have a smartphone. But I also can't imagine anything short of Pokemon convincing me to exercise my lazy ass.

It's quite fun going to places you've gone to tons of times, only to socialize with dozens of people who are playing the same game.

My local mall wall packed full of people today who were almost all playing Pokemon Go. There's a gym there, and several pokestops.

Just in my little neighborhood, there were six or seven people walking around chasing down Pokemon. It's crazy.

So Pokemon Go is taking over the world....

It became number one on the App Store in 4 hours.

4 hours.
