Re: Topic: Wrestling?
Having a look at where all of Brock's storylines lead to since 2012 actually does fill me with a bit of hope:
vs Cena: Lost at ER 2012, SQUASH win at SS 2014, An amazing win at RR 2015
vs HHH: won at SS 2012, lost WM 29, won at ER 2013 in a pretty decent cage match
vs Undertaker (post 2012): horrible match won at WM30, good match with a questionable finish at SS 2015, amazing match at HiaC 2015.
If lucky, this can end up like these storylines by Mania 33. For Cena and Taker storylines I was disappointed at first, but by the end these 2 turned Lesnar into one of my favorite wrestlers. You need to see where the hole goes with this to judge it. Post 2010, Lesnar is WWE's most well booked wrestler, I don't think they'll be throwing it away before 2018.
As per Goldberg for a champion, I dunno. Maybe.

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
While I agree a Heel can win cleanly that usully isn't good for a face in the main event. Unless its some monster heel a main event face should be your top guy and should feel like the best man on the roster which a heel beating him clean cant really do for him.
The Golderg argument kinda falls flat considering the whole scenario was Brocks idea, he likely knows that that's not going to hurt him in the long run or likely doesn't care if it does. It didn't really hurt anything and for now makes Goldberg even more popular then before and sets up that rematch nicely now that for once Brock Lesnar looks like the underdog in comparison.

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
Once I learned it was Brocks idea, and that this ISN'T just a one off and will lead to a rematch later, then I changed my mind on it.
If this was a one off, like I originally thought, then yeah, I'd have hated it.
But VCom reminded me of something I used to tell people. Never judge a storyline until it's over. It's like how people bitch about Goldberg not winning the Elimination Chamber for the World Title in 2003, they forgot that the reason he lost was so they could sell Unforgiven 2003, the second ever Raw Only PPV. And it WORKED, cause that show did great numbers.
Since this IS leading into a rematch, then I was wrong, (see, I can admit it!) and the SS match WAS perfect, because it established Goldberg as a legitimate threat to Brock Lesnar. Now hopefully they can have an entertaining beat the shit out of each other rematch and we can all go home happy.

WHo would have thought that in 2016, Rhyno and Heath Slater would be so popular?
Nice opener, good finish!

I always wanted slater to get more recognition then he was, though I never would have imagined him and Rhyno reaching these levels

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
So Bray Wyatt got a belt and he even won it on PPV, that is a surprise.

Is it though? 2016 seems to take our expectations and throw them out the window.Harrier wrote:So Bray Wyatt got a belt and he even won it on PPV, that is a surprise.
