Extended Family Visitation

Alaina cried out in pain and shock as the painful submission was locked in! "No, no way! No no n...ARGH!" Alaina began to flail wildly and grab at Kelly to try to pry herself free from the hold. At the very least gripping onto Kelly along with her stubborn pride kept her from tapping out!

However, she was no closer to escaping the hold than she was when Kelly locked it in!

Kelly could feel Alaina tries to break free, but she would keep at it if she could. Jesse moved into position to check on things and asked Alaina what she says.

Aaina squirmed even more and tried her best to free herself or reach out for the rope.... nothing. She turned her attention to Jesse who was checking to see if she submitted or if she was going to hold out.

Alaina made the answer very clear. "I can't lose like this, no way!" She shouted before letting out a high pitched scream as the pain from the hold began to mount exponentially! Alaina tried again to break out by using her power.... nothing. Kelly had this locked in good, too good!

Alaina continued to try and escape or reach the ropes, making some slow progress. However, from the center of the ring slow progress wasn't good enough. The pain was getting to be unbearable, but Alaina was a stubborn woman. She refused to tap! Nothing was going to stop her from getting out of this, nothing!

Then, it happened. The pressure and pain from the hold reached a point that Alaina never felt before. Her whole body was paralyzed and she felt as if she was being ripped to pieces. Without even thinking, she began to feverishly tap!

Kelly pulls back on Alaina as Alaina tried to fight it off. She continued to put the pressure and could feel the end drawing near. She knew Alaina was one that didn't want to give in and part of her would feel a bit bad if that caused a serious injury. Nonetheless she continued the pressure.

Jesse was in good position to check on Alaina's condition. After asking her a couple of more times she saw Alaina tapping out. "That's it! It's over!" She then gestured to where the bell was for it to sound, which as she did she remembered nobody else was there, which she would be surprised to see Wes standing by it and ringing it. She then turns back to Kelly and Alaina and moves in to pull them a part as Kelly is letting go and stepping back. Despite the commotion they were making she could here Jesse saying it was over and the bell ringing.

Alaina kept her face down towards the mat, giving the canvass a couple hard slaps with her right hand. "How the hell did I lose again? Just.... fuck!" She cursed. How does someone in their mid-20s in a combat sport lose to someone in their mid-40's? Alaina lost out in terms of technique, and more alarmingly endurance. Her pride was essentially destroyed.

She took a few deep breaths, not wanting to get up and face anyone. She was totally embarrassed and ashamed. Alaina slowly rose to her feet and looked at Kelly. "So... yeah. Good job, you got me again." Alaina said uncomfortably, extending her hand.

Kelly looked like she was about to offer a hand to Alaina to help her up just before Alaina got up on her own. Kelly smiles at Alaina and shakes her hand. Before Kelly could say anything, Wes spoke up and told Alaina "Hey...You weren't that bad Alaina. Keep your head up."

Alaina felt slightly better, but not much. Still, better was better. "Thanks Wes, its just that 'almost' doesn't win titles or get you to the top, or make you the best. Thats where I want to be, where I need to be." Alaina said, sounding more and more resigned to the fact that she may very well never reach come close to, let alone reach her lofty goal.

"Things here compared to where you compete usually are two different places. Besides, nobody's perfect." Even though he didn't see all of the action today, he did see enough to paste it together with their previous official match to know one thing. "I can honestly say, and I'm sure Kelly would too, a number of champions of that league both past and present aren't as good of a wrestler as you are. Now I didn't see of this so I can't pick it a part but if you could go back and change one thing in this ring today what would it be and why?"

Kelly wondered what the answer to Wes' question would be. Even though she came out on top today she felt she could have been a little better too. Jesse stood back and listened to everything that was being said.

Alaina thought for a moment about the question. It was a good one, and she wanted to think about her answer before opening her mouth. "I need to stop losing my temper so quickly. If I stay cool I will make smarter decisions inside the ring." Alaina said, feeling slightly better about the outcome. She did learn today and that was the most important thing to take away.

Wes’ question made Kelly think about the same for a moment, but about herself. She thought about it while paying attention to Alaina’s response. Wes nodded at Alaina’s answer then joked “Now that that’s taken care of bow to each other and let’s get out of here.”

For a split moment, Jesse recalled some of what Alaina said to her during Alaina’s and Kelly’s little workout match. She hoped it wasn’t something Alaina was seriously wanting.
