Mikoto was hoping the unexpected submission variation of a typical hurricanrana setup would surprise the Tsunami enough for the priestess to have the hold applied for an even greater amount of time, getting the idea from how easily Chris Morgan countered the maneuver last time. Hearing Suzumi scream through the pressure on her head did make Miko wince in regret, contemplating easing up on the hold since Suzu was still getting her wrestling legs back. Widening her eyes as Suzu was down to one knee so quickily, Miko wondered if the submission was too complicated a maneuver right now, but Suzu told her not to take her lightly, and having her endure this move would surely build up her toughness.

Tightening in her leg squeeze on Suzu’️s cheeks, for the first time…ever, maybe….Miko was relieved to see her opponent powering out of her hold and rising to her feet. With the priestess dangling there like a pendulum she believed Suzu already had a counter a mind. Miko would raise herself upwards some before unwrapping her legs and falling backwards to her hands and knees in front of the Tsunami. Hoping her opponent was too winded to stop her, Miko would take the path most open to her and attempt to crawl through Suzus open legs, coming up behind her and wrapping her arms around her waist if she survived the trip.

Suzumi was relieved when the hold ended, but disappointed in herself for not coming up with a counter as readily as she should have. Mikoto was underneath and behind Suzumi before she got her breath back. Suzumi felt Mikoto's firm grasp around her waist, but was already working on a way out. "G-good move Mikoto..." Suzumi said, finally catching her breath, although her neck still hurt quire a bit.

Suzumi would grab one of Mikoto's wrists with both of her hands. She wanted to separate Miktoto's hands, keep her grip on the left arm then move behind Mikoto with her arm behind her back to control her opponent.

Smiling inwardly in appreciation of Suzu’️s compliment, Mikoto wouldn’️t let it distract her from the training session as her mind was already on her next maneuver. Pressing her cheek into Suzu’️s upper back Miko intending to flip The Tsunami in a german suplex, but Suzu’️s quick minded and concentrated efforts broke Mikos grip on her waist and before she could react her opponent had her arm twisted behind her with roles reversed.

“T-thanks Suzu….y-you’️re getting f-faster….Nnn….” It was hard to give encouraging words with your own arm turned against you, Miko slapping her shoulder continuously before starting to pelt Suzu’️s abs with elbow strikes with not enough force to seriously hurt, but hopefully enough to lighten up the hold.

"Omph!"Suzumi grunted as she felt a series of elbows hammer into her ribs. Suzumi shoved Mikoto forward, letting go of the hold. Suzumi herself immediately ran the opposite direction, bouncing off the ropes and back at Mikoto, hoping that a running cross body block would catch Mikoto off guard.

Suzumi couldn't help but smile. A good opponent... trying to react on defense, turning it into your own offense.... she really missed this more than she realized.

Mikoto felt Suzu stagger back with each connecting strike into her sides, hoping to yank her arm free when she felt her grip ease up on her. Suzu's shove took Miko by surprise as she stumbled forward a few steps and almost lost her balance. The priestess turned back around to face Suzu only for her eyes to widen at the sight of her opponent flying through the air. Miko would instinctually raise her arms in a half-hearted attempt to catch her but would still be taken off her feet and cross body slammed back to the mat with Suzu's curvy frame pinning her down across her chest.

Suzu was definitely shaking off some of that rung rust...

Suzumi wanted to see if she could keep things going without feeling too tired. She got to her feet and would help Mikoto up by the arm. Suzumi wanted to make sure she could still pull off a suplex, not so much to hammer Mikoto or anything just to make sure her form was all right.....

Suzumi had a firm hold of Mikoto's head and neck with her right arm, then used her left to grab part of Mikoto's ring attire down on her side right at waist level. Suzumi was satisfied with the hold, but she knew Mikoto was easily skilled enough to slip out of this somehow even in mid-move. "Here goes nothing..." Suzumi quietly said to herself, not sure if Mikoto could hear her. Suzumi was very happy to see how much Mikoto had grown since their Wrestle Angels days, but was far from surprised.

With Suzumis hefty frame pressed down against her flattened chest Mikoto would have definitely had trouble breaking out of a pin attempt if this were an actual match. Breathing out a hefty sigh once she felt the added weight lifted off her, Miko was easily pulled up off the mat and had her head tucked snuggly away underneath Suzu’️s arm.

Feeling the familiar tugging sensation on her waist Miko’️s instincts kicked in and recognized the suplex setup. The headlock was synched in too tightly for the priestess to squirm free, Miko instead deciding to use her position to her advantage. With a concentrated groan of effort, Mikoto would leap up slightly and wrap her toned legs around Suzu’️s waist and hooking her feet together. Raising her own arm right to hook behind Suzu’️s, she hoped the impromptu front face lock would weaken the headlock enough for Miko to shimmy out of.

"Aaack!" Suzumi was caught off guard yet again by her crafty training partner. She let go of her hold and quickly shoved Mikoto away to create some distance, the last thing she wanted was to get stuck in another unorthodox submission hold.

"Who do you usually train with over here in Friction?" Suzumi asked. She knew that opponents would have her old scouting report, and she would need to learn a few new tactics if she wanted to have any sort of strategic edge in her matchups. She was confident that she could lock in submission moves, but that hold earlier had shaken her confidence somewhat in her ability to get out of them.

“Whah!!” Falling flat on her keister before she could even properly wrench in the headlock, Miko briefly rubbed her smooth bottom before looking up at Suzu with a curious expression, taking a second to think the question over.

“Oh…well, you…and,uh…you, I guess. I k-kind of keep to myself around here. Well, uhm, I’️ve given a few pointers to the newer talent, a-anyone who’️d listen. I just…I guess I picked up a few new ideas from my match with Chris. OH!! Was that going too far? You’️re not hurt are you? We can call it a day now if you want!,” Mikoto started to fall into a semi-panicked state rushing over to her with a concerned look in her eyes. She admitted the training bout started to turn into a real match toward the end, forgetting that Suzu was still working out the kinks of her game.

"I'm fine Mikoto but its totally cool that you are worried and stuff!" Suzumi said. "I'm surprised someone like you doesn't go out more though. I mean the guys would be all over you, and you've got the skills to really make a mark ya know?" Suzumi said. From what she saw Mikoto was a great training partner, and more power to her for being able to pick up on so much on her own! It was at that point that Suzumi had an idea....

"I need practice, but you are worried about hurting me. What if we go full speed but make it like an abbreviated match? If one of us holds the others shoulders down for one full count its a win? For holds, we'll apply them but not wrench down and if someone is stuck in a hold for 5 seconds without reversing its a 'tap out" whaddya say?"
