Why Hate Never Dies...

A friend? She wanted to be a friend to the lion?

"I thought you didn't like me, hated me even....But I appear to be wrong." Jay tries not to act surprised, but he was. Jay walks with her, catching up. "Hey...Can I talk to you about Nick Solem? What do you see in him? Why? You dnt seem to be what I thought he'd like"

Cougra blushes a little in embarassment, hearing Jay say that he thought she hated him. In response, she would say, "Well, you're right, I did hate you at first because you hurt a friend of mine and someone who wanted to be loved. But now, I can see that you may have potential to be an ally because you are capable of doing good."

While walking, she would then add, "Nick? Sure! Well, uhhh, we had our differences. I mean, he's a dog and I'm a cat for crying out loud. But even so, he's sweet, kind, gentle, and he is always willing to lend a hand."

"I am liked by a lot of people. They just aren't here...Many are leaders of races that I've met and helped." Jay sighs. "Some allies I've had stayed behind, and some have parted ways with me." He looks over to Cougra. "I've done much good, just not always for the benefit of all, only those in need of it."

He listens to her talk about Nick Solem....In such a regard that showed that she liked him a lot. "You really think that about him? He and I are....Not well. Not a good mix. He's cheery about nothing, he knows he has limits. And that horrid masochism....It doesn't sit well with me. All I like him for is his ability to not give up."

Cougra nods as she would hear Jay talk about his past where he was liked by other people including leaders whom he helped out. She smiles as he told her that he's done much good, not just for the benefit of it all, but because those people need it. "Well, as long as you helped people, you did your part to make them stronger and happier to know that they have someone who cares for them."

When it came to the topic of Nick Solem, Cougra would say, "Yeah, okay, I agree I've seen a little of that in him sometimes. He may be overly excited and a bit too full of himself sometimes, but he is a very nice and friendly person to have around. Look, I know that you two have differences, but there must be a way for you two to get along." She would motion for Jay to follow as they were turning a corner to be close to the ice cream shop.

He nods, following her into the store. "Bah....He and I haven't gotten along, ever. If we're left alone, we would start to fight. At least, in a vocal sense." Jay crosses his arms and looks u at the extensive menu. "The lot of those four....Conza is robably the one I get along with best. He isn't like the others. He has popotential....Somewhere"

"It'll take some time, Jay," said Cougra as she opened the door and helped Jay come inside with her to the ice cream shop. "Like I said, you have differences and soon, you may find a surprising way for you two to get along." They would go over to the front of the glass display cases and see the numerous and delicious flavors that were being offered. A lot of classics like vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry as well as hip blends like mocha almond fudge, cheesecake, and red velvet cake.

Cougra would also hear about Conza and she would say, "Yeah, I like Conza. He's small, but he's a strong-willed boy. He might be underestimated at first and get pushed around a lot, but I know he's a winner. He just needs to work hard and reach for it." Turning to Jay, she asked, "So, which flavor do you want?"

Jay gave her a look. "Winner? I didn't mean that. Hhe has the otential to do many things, but winnng a fight here s not one of them. Unless is the case that he finds someone as small as him, or as inexerienced as him.....He doesn't have a good chance. He can't fight these eole that are so much advantaged in height." He shrugged. "But, I'm sure there are people here he can beat...."

He stares at the board. "Cookies and cream. That sounds fine to me."

"Just give him a chance and some time, Jay. I'm sure Conza will come around at that point soon." As soon as Jay placed his order, Cougra would go up to the cashier to place it. She would then ask, "Hey, Jay? Do you want your ice cream in a cone or paper cup? Or maybe a waffle cone bowl?"

There was quite a variety to choose from and Cougra only wondered what Jay wants.

"Um...I-I'll have a waffle cone..." Jay said, shrugging. He aits atiently for her to order, and for the ice creams to be made. He sighs a bit and looks around. "This place isn't very....Dark. I guess the word would be. There's a lot of color in here...But I don't mind, I guess. Heh, what do you think about it?"

Cougra nods and placed the order for the clerk. They received it and they immediately got two waffle cones: one for the mocha almond fudge and the other for cookies and cream. They gave a full scoop for each ice cream and wrapped the cones in napkins to keep it from dripping. Cougra received the ice creams and thanked the clerk before saying, "Here, Jay, this one's yours. You wanna sit at that table close to the window?"
