Valley Doll vs. Alaina Sanders - The Slamazon and the Amazon

The elbow from the corner, classic move, always reliable. Valley's shot hit dead on, knocking Alaina back, and Valley knew she had to follow up - fast. Alaina seemed to be even with Valley, save for superior strength. She had to rely on the skill gap.

Valley hopped up, jumped on the middle turnbuckle, then leaped off, coming her way with a flying side kick to the head.

Before Alaina could react, she found herself on the wrong end of a flying kick to the head!

"Ugggh!" Alaina grunted as she fell straight back to the mat! She grabbed her head with her hands and tried her best to get back to her feet. However this was easier said than done as she was dazed from the quick flying kick! "Damn it..."

Bullseye - the kick hit dead on, textbook execution, and brought Alaina down hard into the mat. Old as she was getting, it was nice to know she could still hang with the twenty-something crowd; she still had a few good years before she could think about putting the boots away.

Valley would help her get back to her feet. Roughly, but she would help, yanking the Amazon up by her arm and giving her the Irish Whip, sending her towards the turnbuckle.

Alaina felt herself get pulled up and whipped over against the turnbuckle! She groaned as her back hit the turnbuckle pads and slumped a little bit in the corner.

"Valley Doll is going to be right behind me and I can only imagine whats next..." Alaina thought to herself. As soon as she saw Valley Doll get close she would hold her legs up and mule-kick Valley Doll in the chest.

Valley's first instinct was to break into a run, get a few flips going, then hit her with a back splash - something to build up momentum, do some quick damage. But that wasn't really likely to work so early in - she would have to go with something a little safer.

The plan was to hit Alaina with a few kicks, maybe finish it with a hurricanrana off the springboard - but that plan was shot when Alaina came kicking out of the corner, striking her in the chest and knocking Valley back with loud grunt, before she fell to her knee.

Alaina created some breathing room and rushed out from the corner. Alaina moved out of the corner as quickly as she could and grabbed ahold of Valley Doll's head, and proceeded to fall back in hopes of delivering a DDT!

Alaina had to stay focused and wanted to put the lessons learned from her first match to good use. Valley Doll had a lot more experience than she did, and Alaina wasn't underestimating anyone this time around.

Ah, the energy of youth. Nice when she was the one with, not so much now that she was on the receiving end.

Alaina wasn't giving her any room to breath - for whatever reason, Valley got the distinct sense that she was trying to prove something. Maybe one of those 'stake a claim' deals - back in Cali, there was never any shortage of young pups trying to make their mark by taking down the big dogs.

Whatever the case, it ended up with Valley getting her head smacked into the ground hard for a DDT, her skull hitting the ground with some fierce impact. She rolled off, groaning, and tried to grab a rope to pull up.

Alaina got back to her feet and made her way to Valley Doll who was getting back to her own vertical base by using the ropes. Alaina wanted to win... needed to win.

Alaina grabbed Valley Doll by the head again and figured softening her up would be smart. She reared back and swung her leg around, wanting to plant a side-kick to Valley Doll's abdomen. Alaina knew that giving her any sort of breathing room would be dangerous because the veteran would be able to swing momentum back in a heartbeat.

Valley was overselling how bad she was - a little bit, just smidgen. Alaina was aggressive, nothing wrong with that; you wouldn't expect someone calling themselves 'Amazon' to be on the timid side. But that sort of aggression could be used against her. It was just a matter of waiting for the right moment.

Valley cried out as she took the sidekick, leaning back on the ropes and sagging - playing possum, absorbing the damage for the moment. Wait a while. Just a while longer...

"Wow... things are going all right so far.." Alaina thought to herself, being cautiously optimistic. Valley Doll was fit, but as far as Alaina saw she wasn't able to take much punishment.

With Valley Doll slumped against the ropes Alaina looked to give her two quick punches to the abdomen to soften her a bit more, then wrap her arm around Valley Doll's head. While holding her in the headlock and squeezing, Alaina would try to walk her towards the center of the ring.
