Poll: Should there be time limits on title matches?

So I know the previously mentioned idea of having mods assist in title matches was approved, but an alternate idea has come about.

We currently don't put many, if any, limits on length of matches.

What if title matches had time limits?

Like, for example, if Avalanche starts December 1st, how would you feel if you were told "Hey, your match officially closes on March 31st, please try to have it done by then."

Then on march 31st, we could close that thread and name the winner based off who was planned to win and lose and deal with any in-activity on a case by case basis.

This might help boost activity if players felt there was a bit more pressure to finish, and would help avoid situations like having multiple title matches all occurring at the same time.

(Note: These ideas only effect title matches, not the whole board)

I said no. Don't really the problem with just multiple title matches occurring at same time if you aren't done with a title match by the time a PPV rolls around. And actually wouldn't having multiple title matches occurring at the same time be more beneficial to the titles picture moving along quicker and wouldn't be slowed down by inactive players? And gotta also factored in the fact that people will have other threads as well.

My advice for this is that if you do makeep a time limit, make a separate section within each brand for title matches. That way the rest of the board is free to do what it needs to but the titles (since those are the big plot maguffins) have there own closely controlled ring in the brand. Other than that I do like having a time limit on these.

Definitely yes. The titles are the big macguffin that keep the world spinning in here. It's not like they are the most important thing because they aren't, but they are the only thing that remains constant, and I think the people involved in a title match have a responsibility to it so it doesn't stagnate or even die.
