"JJ" Janella Johnson vs Skullface

The crowd was buzzing with excitement tonight as the stands were cleared for yet another Tension match. Rumour had it that one of the newer wrestlers was going to be facing off against one of the other less well-known faces of the league. This was going to be a battle between two wrestlers hungry for more airtime, and each of them no doubt knew there would be a lot riding on their performance tonight. No doubt, that was going to make tonight's bout that much more intense.

Red lights strobed the arena at that point as the first of the competitors arrived. Entering the arena with a dramatic flourish, the new wrestler known simply as "Skullface" strode down the ramp holding a twisted metal club like a cane, sauntering down in mock aristocratic fashion. As he reached the ring, he rolled under the ropes and stood up in the center of the ring, and gave the crowd a long, theatrical bow. While his wrestling quality was still largely unknown at this point, the crowd could tell that Skullface was happy to play the villain in this drama.

Backing away to his corner, Skullface casually tossed his cane out of the ring and lounged back lazily against the ropes, watching with apparent boredom to see who his opponent was going to be. Folding his arms, Skullface gave a mocking yawn as he waited for the other wrestler to show up...

It had been quite some time since JJ had set foot in a ring, so when any chance came along she was eager to take it. She had never wrestled against a male but she was not going to shy away from it. JJ would readily take on anyone and this would prove it. Her music began to play and the dark skinned beauty came out with a smile on her face, waving to the crowd and pointing out at them as she strut her way down the ramp towards the ring. She looked up at this Skullface individual shaking her head and waving a hand dismissively.

"This guy? Just because he thinks its Halloween all year round doesn't make him scary." JJ said to a fan nearby before sliding into the ring underneath the bottom rope. She stood tall and swayed her hips as she walked around the ring holding her arms out as she soaked up the cheers of the fans waiting for the bell to ring.

Ryuji sat up straight as he saw his opponent. She definitely was not what he had been expecting: though not as tall as him, the dark-skinned American did look slightly more heavy set than him, her scantily clad outfit showing off the visible muscles on her arms and abs, and powerful thights. She had an easy charisma that to her as strutted her way down the ring, brimming with smiles and confidence. The crowd was quick to cheer her on, and Ryuji knew they had already decided she would be the heroine of that match.

That was fine by Ryuji, as he honestly preferred playing the bad guy.

Smiling, Skullface stretched his arms behind his back as he approached JJ, showing no sign of respect or intimidation as he stepped towards his opponent. "Heh...light blue and purple? Really? With tassles?" he scoffed, looking over her outfit and crossing his arms in disdain. "Girl, I'd hate to break it to you, but this is the AFW, not GLOW, and the 80s wants their tacky outfit back."

Personally, Ryuji didn't think it was that bad an outfit-- it captured JJ's vibrant, upbeat personality quite well-- but trash talk was trash talk. Plus, if Ryuji was honest, he personally thought that he could design an outfit that was a thousand times better...though right now he was Skullface, not Ryuji the fashion designer, and very soon he would have other things on his mind than fixing JJ's outfit.

JJ smiled and laughed as she stood with her hands on her hips. "Honey, you really don't know what you are talking about. Just because I got flash and flair doesn't mean classics won't work." JJ said before wagging a finger at the man.

Soon the bell rang and JJ waste no time in going on the attack, running at her opponent and jumping up into the air. JJ extended her legs and looked to hit Skullface square in the chest with a running dropkick! She was not going to sit back and be timid, she was going to be aggressive against him.

Ryuji chuckled as JJ seemed unfazed by his trash talk, responding with some quippy banter back. So far, he had to admit, he was liking her attitude: it was a shame he would have to destroy her later. "Classic? Is that your word for 'trashy and outdated'?" he said, backing away as the ref signaled that they were about to begin. "I hope for your sake then that your wrestling skills aren't as classic as your outfit, otherwise this is gonna be a short match..."

And then the bell rang. Still smiling, Skullface moved to circle JJ, eager to take her on in a test of strength...only to be caught by surpise as JJ came rishing at him, lunging forward in a drop kick! Gasping, Skullface brought his arms up to block in the nick of time, but the impact still unbalanced him and knocked him flat onto his back! Stunned, Skullface rolled, trying to crawl back up to his feet...

JJ grinned when this guy hit the mat. "Yeah, keep talking and I will keep knocking your pasty ass down." JJ said as she got up making her way over to Skullface. She tried to grab him by the head with her left arm before swinging an uppercut right into his face with her right! JJ was putting all she had into this and hoped the impact would help shut the guys mouth for a moment.

Skullface was already rolling back up to his knees, wincing as his arms were bruised by the solid impact of JJ's boots, when his powerful black opponent came towards him, grabbing him by the head. A second later, Skullface was being yanked upright by his head: growling in irritation, he balled a fist to strike into JJ's bare abs...but his opponent was quicker, and a second later her fist slammed up against his chin. His head snapped back and he was sent sprawling backwards into the ropes.

Dizzily, he grabbed a hold of the top ropes as he fought to stay upright. "That....was a lucky shot," he managed to say, pointing an angry finger at JJ even as he fought to stay upright.

"Keep telling yourself that." JJ said as Skullface stood defiant. JJ wasn't going to just take it though. She was on the move and running at Skullface this time leaping and leading with her knee as she tried to smash into his chest with a running jumping knee strike!

Ryuji saw JJ burst into another run at him. This early in the match, the ebony beauty's offence had been relentless, forcing Skullface back before he could adequately defend himself. He had to admit, he was impressed: JJ was turning out to be more than just a pretty face, she had the ring smarts to go along with those pretty muscles of hers.

Unfortunately for her, Skullface was no slouch either.

As JJ can leaping at him for a brutal knee, Skullface would try to spin aside to dodge the blow. If he managed that, then he would roll into his spin, aiming a snap kick at JJ's exposed back! Hopefully, it would be enough to stun JJ enough for him to start getting some offence back in.

JJ leapt and missed, with her momentum being used against her. JJ was still moving forward when the kick tower back smashed her sending her down to her hands and knees! JJ groaned as she shook her head trying to stagger her way up to her feet but Skullface successfully halted her momentum while creating a nice window of opportunity for himself to act!
