Nidia Roja (d) vs. "Tsunami" Suzumi Ishikawa

Suzumi felt the double axe handle hit her back and she let go, arching her back up as she stumbled back. Suzumi was fast and agile but conceded that Nidia had her beat there. Suzumi wasn't about to be out-struck by Nidia though. She swung her leg around aiming a mid-kick at the abdomen of Nidia and then lunged forward trying to leap and smash Nidia in the abdomen with a knee, trying to keep pressing her back against the hard apron corner of the ring!

Nidia was able to slow Suzumi’s momentum with her double axe handle, and with it was able to kick the bluenette away. But only for a moment as the luchadora’s opponent was quick to respond with a kick that shoved Nidia against the side of the ring once more!

But when Suzumi went for the knee strike, the luchadora would catch it. And before she could pull away, would wrap her free arm around her waist and pick her up. Where she would then charge forward and ram the bluenette against the unforgiving barricade! The crowd jumping to their feet at the sight of it.

This was beginning to look more like a brawl. And all the while, the referee was slowly counting the two women out.

Suzumi was shocked that Nidia was able to catch the knee and fully halt the charging Suzumi's momentum by lifting her up but that all went out the window as she was smashed backward against the barricade! Suzumi howled as her head arched back and she started to slump down to a seated position at the barricade. She was not going to go down without a fight through, and the hurting Suzumi would swing her fist up trying to hit Nidia with an uppercut while she was close so that Suzumi could rise back to her feet, using the barricade to aid her.

Nidia couldn’t help but feel slightly bad at how much slamming Suzumi’s back into the barricade must’ve hurt. But she didn’t have time to wince or feel guilty, as the luchadora’s head was suddenly snapped back by a viscous uppercut from her opponent. Gritting her teeth to push past the pain, Nidia would respond by sending a kick to the bluenettes chest. Slamming her once more against the canvas. It was then that she noticed the refs count was nearing its end, and so rolled back inside the ring.

Only to immediately roll back out and restart the count so she could try to pull Suzumi up to her feet and whip her into the steel stairs!

Suzumi groaned and slumped back against the barricade after the kick but by the time Nidia was making her way back over to Suzumi the tsunami was ready. She initially rose up on limp legs... but when Nidia tried to whip Suzumi she instead spun with it to whip Nidia towards the steels steps instead! Suzumi was surprised by how tough and strong the gritty woman was, but Suzumi was not going to let herself be shown up. Suzumi was here to win, trying to work herself up the ranks for gold again so she could not allow Nidia to get the best of her.

With the count restarted, Nidia would be able to continue the brawl outside without any immediate worry of getting counted out. So she would bend down and drag Suzumi up to her feet with the idea of whipping her into the steel steps. However, just as the bluenette began to run. She would suddenly reverse the throw, causing Nidia to be sent into the steps instead! Nidia couldn’t stop her momentum and slammed into the unforgiving steel with a mighty crash! Her body bouncing off and falling to the floor where she instinctively curled up to try and soothe the pain!

There we go, Suzumi felt better about the little scuffle on the outside now that she was now the one with the initiative! She made her way over to Nidia quickly not wanting to give the flyer a chance to recover. Now Suzumi was going to really show her some punishment as she pulled Nidia up and drove her back-first into the corner of the apron before ramming her shoulder into Nidia a few times to soften her up! Nidia was stunned, or so Suzumi hoped as the tsunami tried to hook both of Nidia's arms to lift her up and bring her crashing down hard on the unforgiving ground outside the ring with a double underhook suplex!

Nidia’s back felt as if it were on fire. She had bounced off of the steps but she could still feel the individual lines making an impression across her back. She barely even had time to process the pain as Suzumi was right on her! Dragging her up to her feet and ramming her back against the corner post. The ramming not only made the pain in her spine worse, but it stunned her enough for Suzumi to bend her over and hook her arms. From there she was lifted up and slammed back down in a underhook suplex. Nidia couldn’t stop the scream that shot out as her back arched!

Suzumi had a chance to really roll so she wanted to keep things moving! Suzumi pumped her fist in the air before bending down trying to pick Nidia up. She held her up and moved towards the ring post looking to ram Nidia into it right at her lower back before making a quick adjustment to shove Nidia underneath the bottom rope to take things back into the ring. Suzumi had taken some punishment on the outside but she really hoped that she gave it back to Nidia worse right as they entered the ring!

The punishment on her back was really starting to add up as Nidia could do nothing but writhe on the floor as the pain wracked through her. She needed to turn things around and quick, but Suzumi wasn’t going to give her the chance. Once again she was pulled up to her feet and rammed into the apron, drawing another pained shout from the luchadora. After that she was rolled back into the ring where she put her hand onto her aching back.
