Xiao La Rouge vs Valyn Azora

Xiao was wondering if perhaps she might be lacking something here, and perhaps she should contemplate furthering her endurance. Not that she was weak, far from it. Years of training in the Chinese martial arts proved that much, but she had only really gone up against her Brother. She knew that not everyone fought like he did, and this was proof. Leon never really bothered with using submission moves, she had been in a couple though. Not much to get a proper bearing though.

The oriental rose would give Valyn this one, he'd got her there and she had the price paid. But then her opponent had tried to move Xiao into a sleeper hold, but this time Ms La Rouge was going to be ready. No way was she just going to let Mr Azora move from one attack to the next, so as Xiao was rising back up with Valyn she'd strike. The Chinese/French girl would move forward and go up the ropes, hoping to perform a shiranui. It was often done on a turnbuckle, but the oriental rose didn't have that luxury. She needed to counter and counter now.

Valyn should of expected for his opponent to be ready with a counter the moment he tried to shift into another room. Well he hand't so he was about to pay the price and Xiao was about to make him pay for his mistake in a very showy and very effective way. His eyes widened slightly as she went off the ropes and went and over his body bringing him down onto his head. He hit with a resounding thud on the ground his whole world exploded into lights and pain.

Xiao thanked her lucky stars, the move had actually worked. Deep down there had been some part of the oriental rose that was worried it might not succeed, she had performed the shiranui a few times against Leon. But that always involved the turnbuckle, not the ropes. That was different, Xiao knew that there had probably been matches before her one. And that meant the ropes could have become slippery from the sweat of other competitors, a botch would have meant disaster for the young woman.

More so considering that high flying moves weren't something that Xiao dabbled in, she liked to keep her fights as on the ground as possible. Either standing with strikes, or on the ground with submissions. But the oriental rose knew that not every match would go as smoothly as she would hope, it was part of life.

The body of the oriental rose landed on the mat with a thud, but she knew that Valyn would have most likely come off worse from that exchange. Now the Chinese/French woman hoped to try and get closer to Valyn, crawling over to his body for a pin attempt. There wasn't much point in standing considering the proximity after all, Xiao was lightly panting as she did so with some sweat going down her forehead. Valyn was giving as good as he got, yes the young woman would say this was quite a good bout thus far.

Valyn laid on the ground, his world still spinning from the impact that he had just taken . He clenched his eyes shut as he tried to clear the fog in his brain that was nice and rattled at the moment. As of right now though he was effectively not doing anything too quickly until he could catch his breath and regain all his senses. This unfortunately left him wide open for Xiao to take advantage of. He didn't stir as she went for the pin attempt taking in deep breaths underneath her.

Xiao had only studied the art of the wrestling ring quite recently, getting herself ready with the rules. It was different from conventional fights, the usual victory was done via submission or pinfall. So with that in mind the oriental rose had been sure to brush up on how to win properly, to follow the time honoured rules as was required.

Her pin wasn't a properly executed one, it was more Xiao just draping an arm over her opponent Valyn. But right now the Chinese/French woman wasn't too fussy with how she did this right now, it was a fair pin after all as Valyn's shoulders were down on the mat. The ref had noted this and had started a pin count, with her at the one count. Xiao wasn't sure if this would stick, but right now the oriental rose was going to cling to this hope.

Valyn let his eyes snapped open as he heard the first smack of the refs hand on the mat, the dizziness in his hand clearing up quickly. The smack of the second count brought energy back into his body and gave him enough to quickly kick out before the third smack on the mat ended this match.

He pushed his opponent off of him and would quickly roll away from her to create some space between the two of them. He let out a couple pants of air as he tried to push himself off the mat and on to his feet. HE was still a tad wobbly but he wasn't about to let himself love so easily.

Xiao was hoping that things might go smoothly here, like out of the novels that she read and sometimes even wrote. She preferred the ones where the hero was an honourable sort in a romanticised version of war, regardless of the era. Speaking of which the oriental rose was considering finding herself a publisher, to get into something other than combat should the worst occur to her.

Valyn didn't seem to have been beaten yet, he managed to dig up the will and power to kick out after the oriental rose's shiranui. After being shoved off by her opponent Xiao got on her knees, a mixture of a wince and grimace on her sweating yet regal features. She then took a moment to try and control herself, a deep breath so as not to lead into the path of frustration. Her Brother might do that, the spoiled rich playboy that he was. Xiao was not like the sneering joker however, no she was a lady of grace like her Mother.

The Chinese/French woman began to size up Valyn, getting back up the same time as he would. Xiao then hoped to approach Valyn, and try to get him close to the ropes and set him up for an Irish whip. If the oriental rose managed to perform this she'd try to catch Valyn on the way back with a clothesline, but this could lead to her being countered if her opponent could catch on quick to what she was planning.

Valyn was drawing in deep breaths of hair, sweat trickling down his body. He was tired but enjoying every moment of this match still, despite the pain in his body. He needed to get moving again before his opponent followed up. Unfortunately for him she was already on the move grabbing a hold of him and launching him in an Irish whip.
As he went towards the rope his mind kicked into overdrive on how to turn this around. As he bounced off the ropes coming back at her he did the only thing he could. He'd jump up right into his opponent his knees coming up to crash into his opponent his hands catching her head as he does it. This would be his finisher The Rising Kill.

Xiao believed that being relentless at this juncture was the best thing to do, sweat glistened down her regal features. She had applied some makeup before the battle, to help enhance the lady of war image she showed outwardly. That was starting to come off too, but at this moment in time the oriental rose wasn't paying attention to that.

She was far more concerned with applying the needed force to her opponent, after the move that Xiao had performed she wanted to continue her momentum. But it seemed that her opponent here had other plans, Xiao was moving forward with an arm out. Ready to catch Valyn and catch his neck clean and simple, but everything that happened after was sudden.

Valyn quickly lept up, and blasted Xiao right in the head with both knees. The momentum from the ropes working in his favour and against the oriental rose, the impact made the crowd yelp in surprise. Xiao's response to this attack was to be knocked flying backwards, lying on the ground spread-eagled. Flashbacks of being smacked in the head by her Brother Leon wafted back into Xiao's mind as she lay there groaning from the attack that just occurred to her.

Valyn found himself almost wincing from the impact of the move he just delivered to Xiao. He always knew it was a brutal and effective finisher but he hoped he hadn't did any real lasting damage to her. Still though he couldn't afford to think of such things now he had just connected his finisher and he needed to follow up the only way that made sense...a pin.

As soon as he landed after his opponent he'd quickly move on top of her sweat running down his body. He'd hook her leg pulling it up his body across hers. The ref quickly came down beside them and slapped the mat "ONE"
