Thank you for your input.

I know that writing PMs is better than an open thread.
I am also not taking it too seriously, you would know what I mean when you knew which dramas took place here already regarding low self esteem.^^

But on the other hand, some people get their slots full in no time with such an open invitation, and I am curious to find out why this is not the case with me anymore.

Or another example:
Everyone looses a thread partner here and there, and I explicitly state in the blog entry that I don´t bother asking people why they abandoned this and that, assuming they have reasons to do that. But when people first approach me and then stop to write, this makes me still a little bit curious.

To be bluntly honest, I know that my command of the english language is good enough to write in understandable terms. I have some rules for myself which I apply to every post, I am approachable for compromise and my win/loss rating is even or rather negative and I sell moves. So it is not the obvious reasons and I want to know what the problem may be. Boring? Repetitive?

I suspect the problem is more imagined than real. Looking through your history, you have many threads that stretch to 6, 7, 10+ pages. You're clearly able to get and keep matches.

Everyone gets dumped occasionally, often for reasons that have nothing to do with them. There have been several occasions where I've had to leave the site abruptly because of real life disasters.

As for your writing--you're fine. You're no worse than the average writer on this website. Everyone would like to write better, and none of us are perfect, but you're not losing partners over that.

Harrier- I know we haven't done anything together, yet, and I couldn't really speak to the problems you're having with threads, but you've been on my list of people to try to have a thread with at some point, if that means anything.

Underdog- We haven't RP'ed in awhile, but I really enjoyed the threads we had together, in the past! The Akamatsus are fun characters, and I'd totally be up for having another thread with you again, sometime!

Also, I totally invite anyone to go ahead and tee off on me, too. I'm sure there's lots of areas I could improve in, or stuff in my writing that's a total drag, so I'm open to hearing what I could be working on.

You sometimes put commas in odd places.

That, is a fair point.

Seriously, though, I'll try to work on that. Thanks for pointing it out! Open to hearing about anything else bothersome that I might be doing!

While I'm at it, forgive me if this isn't an appropriate place to ask this, but since it's an improvement/critique thread, would anyone mind reading some stuff I've been writing off-site? It's short story stuff, in a pulp vein, with a female crime-fighter getting into shenanigans. Roughly 8,000 words at a go. I've been working on it for awhile, and I want to know if anyone else might find it entertaining.
