Alizeh Midori (D) vs Adrian Kytes: Starting against the Best

Alizeh was many things, but helpless or inexperienced wasn't one of them. Despite AFW being the biggest promotion she had fought for it was far from her first, and this was definitely not the first headlock she was forced into. So despite the tight, breathless feeling of the hold, Alizeh was quick to enact an escape plan, throwing her legs up in the air and lifting them high enough to entangle her long limbs around Adrian's head, tightening her grip and pulling the woman off and down, trapping her in a headscissors!

"Feel free to tap whenever you want!" Alizeh said to Adrian mockingly, even making a point to prop her elbow under her and hold her head up with her palm, posing for the camera while the former champion struggled in the rookie's grip. Unfortunately despite the position it wouldn't last long since the cosplayer would extend those long legs of hers to get a quick rope break. Rolling her eyes in response Alizeh obeyed the referee when she told Alizeh to release the hold.

Rolling backwards and getting up to her feet Alizeh would stand and wait patiently for the woman to get up. "Gotta say if this is all ya got, I ain't impressed." Alizeh said while crossing her arms under her chest, staring Adrian down, trying to see if she could bait the woman, or at least throw a dig she reacted too.

"Guhh..." Adrian gasped in relief as Alizeh broke the hold finally, feeling the pressure around her jaw and neck fade leaving the throbbing pain as a little memoir of the headlock before the Emerald Storm had to open her mouth again. "FeEl FrEe To TaP wHeNeVeR yOu WaNt." she repeated to herself in a deliberately stupid voice as she pulled herself back to her feet with help of the ropes, enduing the insults as she brushed a few errant hairs back into place.

Well... she wasn't enduring them silently "Its called pacing yourself, look it up!" She snapped before calling the attention of the ref "Hey, official!"

"Its-" The referee began.

"Yeah whatever," the former champ cut off "Did you check pads before the match start?"

"No but that's because-"

"Well do it now!" Adrian demanded, holding out her own arms to the ref as is to say 'start with me' "I felt something metal press against my jaw in that headscissors, she might have something in the top of her left boot." She lied as her justification for why she was pulling this now and not at the beginning of the match, making sure the referee was between her and the green haired fighter

To say Alizeh was only happy when she was beating down on Adrian was a bit of a understatement. So far the former champion of AFW wasn't impressing her for a few reasons, largely her spoiled attitude and cowardice tactics. But it would just make things all the more satisfying for the green haired girl when she finally had this woman tapping out once and for all.

As she stood up Alizeh was ready to get right back into the heat of things as soon as Adrian was up. Even lifting her fists up and stepping forward, fully ready to lock up with the woman until the cosplayer called for the ref's attention to check the pads. Immediately Alizeh dropped her arms with a deadpan look on her face as if to say 'Seriously?'

However Alizeh had a sinking feeling that like a karen, the woman before her wouldn't drop things till she got her way, so at the mention of the accusation towards Alizeh she would immediately roll her eyes. "Dude come on just fight me already!" Alizeh said even pulling down her own knee pads before the ref could finish, or even start with Adrian, "See? I got no metal, so let's just fight already!" Alizeh demanded, ready and wanting to sock Adrian in the face already.

If Alizeh wanted to get her hands on Adrian again, then she was unfortunately going to have to wait until the ref gave them both a pat down. Fortunately she was not alone in seeing this as a cowardly stalling tactic by the former champion as the crowd joined in with jeers and boos towards the brunette who responded by yelling back "I thought you guys wanted me to respect the rules!" while the referee diligently made sure that Adrian hadn't bought in any illegal weapons to the match before checking on the Emerald storm.

Ask, however, and you shall receive as the rookie was soon to find out, the referee was busy on her knees trying to get a handle on the situation leaving her out of a fighting stance and distracted from the now freed Adrian who had much less restraint when it came to attacking someone when there was a referee between them. The former champ dashed forward and twisted herself sideways so she could lift her boot as high as possible, aiming to slam into Alizeh's jaw with enough force that she wouldn't have to slap her thigh for people to hear the smack.

Alizeh was glaring at Adrian hard at the fact the brunette was really making her go through this stupid stalling tactic before getting back into the match proper. Unfortunately she really had no choice in the matter once the ref had started. So all she could do was comply as they came over to do the check on Alizeh's own boots. Looking down briefly on instinct as the ref went to work Alizeh would see the former champion indeed coming in hot! "Shit move!" She yelled, taking the brief moment she had to shove the ref out of the way!

Of course doing so meant that there was absolutely no chance for Alizeh to avoid the oncoming kick coming in from Adrian! "Gahhhh!" She yelled out in pain as Adrian's boot struck her square in the head, taking her off her feet and knocking her right down to the mat in a daze!

With a sigh of relief and frustration Adrian pulled herself back upright after smacking Alizeh in the face with a superkick despite the hairdryer treatment the official was now giving her for such a dirty trick, making the ref culpable in one of the former champ's many, many schemes "Hey, she called for it alright!" the brunette protested as she attempted to get past the ref and on top of the Emerald Storm once again. The back and forth between Adrian and the ref had probably killed any chance of a quick pinfall but the green haired fighter was still on the canvas dazed, giving Adrian enough time to stick one foot near Alizeh's right leg, then wrap the Emerald Storm's legs around her thigh leaving Adrian with the task of turning the younger fighter over to lock in the deadly Sharpshooter.

Caught once again with a cheap trick by Adrian the green haired fighter was once again attacked off guard, laid out with a superkick after pushing the ref out of line of fire. "Agh..." Groaning slightly as she tried to sit up Alizeh would only now realize that her legs were grabbed and pulled to cross over Adrian's own in a very familiar, very bad hold. 'Shit!' Alizeh thought to herself, struggling far too late to do anything meaningful as Adrian finished crossing her legs and turned her over, locking in a sharpshooter! "Aghhhhh!" Alizeh moaned out in paing, grabbing her hair in pain before biting her lips and trying to drag herself along the mat, using her nails to force herself to inch forward, towards the ropes so that she could reach out for a rope break!

Adrian had a good record with the Sharpshooter, it was one of those holds that took a little technique but was worth far more than trying to brute force a Boston crab hold and now Alizeh was feeling the pressure on her legs & spine whenever the brunette pulled back on the twisted limbs "Was that a tap?" She asked as she felt a thump on the canvas in among the screaming but the bell wasn't ringing yet so it wasn't that, no, what it was was the rookie slamming her forearms into the mat to start crawling away to the ropes through the pain, unbalancing the vet at the same time.

Committed to getting the most out of the hold, Adrian had to step back further just to re-apply the pressure but giving the green haired grappler more space to inch towards the ropes, battling the agony before the tips of her fingers touched the bottom rope and the ref sprang in to action, quickly delivering a five count and forcing Adrian to abandon the hold unless she wanted to succumb to the most embarrassing finish to a wrestling match: disqualified for kicking too much ass. "Alright!" She yelled, throwing down the legs and stepping away once it was clear that the 5 count was more of a 2 and a half count, damage still done.

Alizeh was in agony, but not agony that she couldn't handle. The sharpshooter may have hurt, but if anyone could handle it, she could. Managing to make it to the ropes though Alizeh grab onto the bottom rope, securing her freedom! Though of course Adrian wasn't quite done with her, instead holding on as long as possible as the ref started to count her out, Alizeh having to grit her teeth in determination to keep herself together. Thankfully the hold would finally come undone and Alizeh was allowed a moment of reprieve as she took a deep breath, pushing herself up to her feet with a wince of pain on her face.

Turning and glaring at Adrian the green haired girl would shake her legs out before putting her hands up. "You really just don't have any shame huh?" Alizeh asked the brunette as she began to circle her, preparing herself to play defense, not trusting the state of her legs enough to go on the offensive just yet. Besides, if what she was thinking about Adrian was accurate, than she'd probably be feeling pretty cocky, and if nothing else, Alizeh could use that to her advantage.

"Shame is for people annoyed that they didn't think of that first." She retorted to the rookie as the two circled the ring, Adrian trying to keep a keen eye on how the rookie was moving around after that submission hold, she'd missed the wince of pain due to having to deal with face time from the ref and the green haired fighter was moving fairly well after the restart but looks could be deceiving. Not as deceiving as Adrian was on a regular basis but deceiving nonetheless.

Closing in, Adrian lashed out with a sweeping kick at Alizeh's lower legs, trying to aim around the more heavily padded shin and clip her foe in the calf muscle. Sure Alizeh looked okay but there was being okay and there was putting up a brave face and a nasty strike like this was a good way to test that.
