See, the thing about the Italian Mafia is that criminal history have always been so quick to put another, lesser known, group up to thier calibur, when in truth, the mentioned group doesn't deserve that merit at all.
It's like this one time on the History Channel, the program had a documentary on the Dixie Mafia, a more recent organized crime family that reigned from southern USA from the 70s up to the the Clinton years.
They say that the Dixie Mafia were more deadly than the Italians, but I can't see why. For ten years during 1968 to 1978, police reports stacked up murder counts up to 156 victims from the Dixies, but the Italians only got around 30.

Could it be...that this is because the Italians were probably more organized and maybe even have more varying ways to kill a man that wouldn't leave any evidence? I'm just saying.
Plus, the Dixies had thier priorities all fucked up. They didn't even have a leader, did they? Down South, the richest guy with the most money was titled the "Don". Meanwhile, their bases of crime involved contract killing and armed robbery, all of which these crimes are way too loud for a mafia to remain unnoticed.

Heh, i may not be history channel, but i'll say what almost every guy living in southern Italy knows about Mafia (or Camorra, Ndrangheta and Sacra Corona which are different names from different italian Mafias): the more powerful a mafia is, the less it needs killing, preferring high-level business and making agreements with politicians rather than using violence if they can choose.
One exception to this rule is when a "family" starts a war for leadership within the organization.
