Looking to Start Over
Hey fellow anime/wrestling enthusiasts. My name is Gwyndolin, and I've been a member of this site for about two years now. For as long as I've been here, I've been prone to going AWOL on my roleplay partners, sometimes for months at a time. My last lapse was probably the worst one I've had since joining the forum – it's been about two-thirds of a year since I last updated any of the roleplays I was a part of.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience I've been putting my partners through. I was diagnosed with depression a few years ago, and it really screws with my ability to keep up a normal life. Still, I let down some pretty nice people who took a chance to start roleplays with me. I've had too much fun on this site to ever consider leaving it behind for good, so I've come back hoping to reconnect with this small community and pick up where I left off.
When I first joined this site, I was so eager to start writing that I took on far more threads than I was capable of handling. It overwhelmed me and made it hard for me to really focus on any single roleplay. In order to stop this from being a problem going forward, I'm planning to limit myself to 2 or 3 active threads at a time. Unfortunately, I'll also need to cancel most of the roleplays I was involved in before I got burned out and left. I really want to keep a consistent pace with the few matches that I do take on, and I can't do that with all the others hanging over me. There are a couple of old matches among them that I would be happy to continue and hopefully finish. For those few, I am planning to contact my respective partners in private to ask whether they would also be willing to resume these roleplays or not.
To all the people who shared matches that I won't be able to resume, I'm sorry for letting you down. At least this way, everyone I've written with will have a definitive answer to whether or not I'll be able to finish whatever we started. I also need to take some time to update my character roster before I start anything new on this site. I have a character that has been sitting in a half-finished state for a year now, and the other two need some improvements.
I guess that's everything I needed to say. It's nice to be posting here again. Here's hoping I'll figure out how to work around my problems and become a more consistent writing partner.

Welcome back. Don't worry about the threads. burn out is something we all face. Take it slow and try to enjoy things. If people dont wan't to resume RP or play with you again, then they are probably not worth the time you invest in this.
There are lots of good members who have joined since you departed so seek them out

Re: Looking to Start Over
It's great to see you again, Deus! Nice to meet the rest of you whom I haven't met until now.
Thank you, starvalentine, but I won't mind if people don't want to resume matches that I had going before I left. It's been so long that many of them have probably been forgotten entirely, and I'm okay with starting fresh.
I'll definitely check out some of the newer members here as soon as I have the time to take on new roleplays.
