Emily Nelson vs. Peggy McIntyrePeggy

Peggy was eager to get back in the ring. Her last matches were back to back losses to someone she hated at the time, and while things patched up there she hated the fact that professionally she was on a slide. Tonight in her return to action she was going to correct that! The 20 year old was clad in a green one piece swimsuit, gold kneepads, gold elbow pads, and boots that were a mix of the two colors.

As her music played, she walked out to the ramp to a mixed reaction as she strut down towards the ring looking like she was all business tonight. She knew very little of Emily Nelson and she didn't really care. Tonight was her night. Tonight the ship would correct its course, and she would begin her move up in the rankings. Peggy held her arms up high as she was announced, and stood in the center of the ring facing up the ramp. The curvy, semi-fit lass crossed her arms and eagerly awaited the opponent she was going to be facing.

Peggy truly felt sorry for her, and was going to do everything in her power to win this match no matter what.

A few seconds later, "The Wicked Symphony" by Avantasia began to play, violet and fuschia lights strobing as the next competitor made her way into the arena. The audience cheered as Emily strode down the ramp, the tall Scotswoman's hazel eyes fixed resolutely on the ring. She only casually brushed aside her long pink-brown hair as she made her way down the ramp, her gaze never once straying from her soon to be opponent.

And not just any opponent. From what she knew, Peggy was an up and comer here in AFW, who had been generating quite a lot of buzz. Looking at the girl and her slender, athletic form, Emily could believe it: Peggy had the build and stature of a determined athlete, and given the way the American was looking at her, the attitude to match. As Emily made her way to the ring, she slid under the ropes and strode up towards Peggy, letting the height difference between them become a little more apparent to the girl. It was certainly apparent to the fans, who buzzed with excitement as the two wrestlers entered what appeared to be a staredown.

"Ms. McIntyre. I've heard quite a few things about ye," Emily said, before smiling and extending her hand. "I hope half of them are true. I always prefer decent bouts to one-sided affairs."

Peggy grinned at Emily as she entered the ring. She was much more lean than Peggy whose frame had a bit of softness to it. "Its only gonna be one sided if I pin ya quickly after kickin' yer ass around the ring." Peggy said with a confident shrug. "My record ain't anything to write home about but that will change tonight, you will all see that I'm no pushover."

Peggy kept her eyes locked on Emily as the bell rang. Peggy wasn't going to sit there and let Emily take the initiative either, as the Irish woman stepped in and rammed her fist into Emily's abdomen with a hard body punch!

Emily had hoped that Peggy would be a good sport and, at the very least, accept her handshake. After all, if the rumours were to be believed, Peggy came from a wrestling family (her grandmother may or may not have been Velvet McIntyre), so Emily hoped that she would at least understand the etiquette of good sportsmanship and respond to her friendly gesture. Instead, however, Peggy merely responded with a snarky comment and left Emily hanging. A sour look crossed Emily's face, and she lowered her arm just as the bell rang.

No sooner had the bell rung when Peggy ran forward. Before Emily could even react, the American girl rammed a hard fist into her abdomen. "URF!' Emily grunted as her abs took the blow, causing her to double over a bit. She hadn't gone through Wrestle Angels, however, without learning to take a hit, and almost immediately, she straightened up and glared at Peggy. "So that's the way it's going to be, is it?" she asked, not waiting for a reply as she darted in to retaliate with a punch to Peggy's own abs.

Peggy grunted and staggered back, clutching her mid-section from the force of Emily's punch! She glared back and straightened herself out shaking her head. This was gonna be a fun night! Peggy moved back up and against moved to strike Emily this time with a fist to the face!

Sure this looked more like a brawl than a match, but right now Peggy didn't care. The only thing she wanted to do was win, at any cost. This woman and her love of handshakes, and whatever else she considered "fair" didn't even register on Peggys radar. The only thing that mattered was the end all, be all bottom line. Win or lose.

Emily was satisfied as she managed to retaliate Peggy's punch with one of her own, hopefully giving the Irish lass the message that she wasn't one to be trifled with. Unfortunately, Peggy seemed slow to get the message, lashing out again with a fist to Emily's face. The Irish girl's knuckles slugged against her cheer, and Emily's head snapped to the side. This early in the match, though, Emily was still fresh and still fighting at her full capacity, and which she turned her back on Peggy ever so briefly, she was otherwise able to shrug it off.

And retaliate, even harder, with a short but brutal clothesline to Peggy's head, in the hopes of taking the Irish girl by surprise and flooring her! Emily had indulged Peggy a little at the start of this, but now she was done playing games.

Peggy was moving in to try to grab Emily, but that worked against her as she played right in to the tall woman's clothesline! Peggy hit the mat with a groan as she was laid out. She kicked the mat in paid as her arms came up to cover her head!

Peggy came into this match to prove she wasn't some hapless jobber, and as of right now she seemed to look like just that! She tried to roll away to create some distance, doing her best to scramble back up to her feet in something of a daze as she felt the full effect of the clothesline!

Emily felt the familiar impact run up her arm as she clotheslined Peggy. As the Irish girl went down, Emily circled her, casually rubbing the spot where Peggy had punched her face. "If y'er going t' talk smack, lass," she said, "ye'd best do more to back it up than a few sucker punches."

Striding after Peggy as she rolled away, Emily was there when the girl staggered to her feet. Grabbing a hold of the dazed Irish girl's arm, she would, rather appropriately, Irish whip her towards the ropes. Without even waiting for her to bounce back, Emily would stride after her, aiming to grab her arm again on the rebound and flip her overheard to the mat in a quick and effective snapmare!

Peggy groaned as she was whipped, bouncing off the ropes and flying back right into the waiting arms of Emily! Her ample, bouncy backside flipped and hit the mat! The ring ropes shook with the impact and Peggy let out a loud howl of pain! "Arrgh! Ya damn witch...." peggy muttered under her breath, reaching up to try to pry herself free of Emily's grasp after her stinging, humiliating landing!

The ring shook a little as Emily gave Peggy a firm demonstration of her power, flipping the Irish girl overhead and slamming her down. Below her, Peggy was arching her back on her side, and Emily raised an impassive eyebrow at Peggy's curse. "Witch? Really, lass, I thought ye'd be a wee more classy than that." She had gone into this match willing to give Peggy a chance, but so far, the Irish girl's attitude was beginning to annoy her.

So saying, Emily would drop down, aiming to axe-handle Peggy hard in the belly, and, if that landed and stunned Peggy further, grab her legs and wrap her up for a quick and effective pinfall!
