Valley would've been surprised if she’d scored the pin here, but she would’ve accepted it. She knew she was on the right road with this strategy, and it was only a matter of following the path all the way to the end. One step at a time, one move at a time.

So, when Julia kicked out of the hold, she wasn’t bummed. She didn’t groan or shout in frustration. Valley just worked with it, moving on to the next hold with mischevious smirk.

As Julia shot her shoulder up, Valley rolled with it and flipped the cowgirl over, making her lie on her front. She kept her hold on the legs and put it to good use, crossing them at the ankles, while she sat down on her opponent’s back and got a good seat. From there, it was just a matter of grabbing the ankles, yanking back, and working one of her all-time favorite old-school holds: the double toed leglock. Simple name, painful move.

Julia got her shoulder up and broke the count, but it hardly mattered. She’d barely even escaped the pin before Valley was already transitioning right on into the next hold! And well before Julia could even attempt to resist, she was already rolled onto her front and felt her foe’s weight settle down on her lower back. She could easily guess what was coming next, but that didn’t make it hurt any less when her legs started getting yanked back.

“AAGH!!” the cowgirl cried out, grabbing a tight hold of her hair, as if using them to keep her hands as far away from the mat as possible. Julia was a pretty flexible gal, and normally a hold like this would’ve been more bearable. But her bad leg was practically folded in half, and the pain that came with it was something she couldn’t just block out or push to the back of her mind.

When the ref asked if she wanted to give in, Julia immediately shook her head. “NO!” she yelled out in response. Then, grunting through grit teeth as she moved, she began to paw forward, attempting to start dragging herself toward the ropes.

The crowd was whipping themselves into a fury again. In fact, they’d been getting more and more rowdy over the past few minutes, dividing themselves firmly into two camps. Valley could smell dueling chants coming up soon if she kept this going, and she couldn’t lie, she was looking forward to it. Those were always fun.

Right now, the pro-Julia crowd was making their disdain known, as Valley continued to work the leg to maximum effect, using her weight to slow down the cowgirl’s march as much as possible.

”Julia!” The ref called out, kneeling nearby. ”Do you give?”

Julia said ‘no’. Of course Julia said ‘no’. She still had fight left, and she was fairly close to the ropes. Valley could fix that, though.

When Julia was about a foot or two away, Valley released the leglock, stood up, and grabbed her ankle. From there, she started to walk backwards, dragging her opponent back to the center of the ring. Right into the danger zone. "Might want to rethink that, Jules!"

Julia was so close to the ropes she could practically taste them! Just a few more inches and she’d be able to reach out, grab them, and free herself from this excruciating hold. Or, so she though. But unfortunately Valley put a quick stop to any notion of that happening when she suddenly started dragging her right back out to the middle of the ring!

“No!” Julia yelled in despair. The one good thing about this was that Valley couldn’t reapply the hold and drag her at the same time. Hoping to take advantage of that, once they had just about stopped moving, Julia planted her palms on the mat. Then with a strained grunt she’d push up while kicking her free foot back, aiming to crack Valley in the jaw in a moment of desperation with what could best be described as a reverse enziguri!

It was a simple move that Valley didn’t see used nearly enough. Your opponent’s getting a little too close to the ropes, threatening to break your hold? Just yanked her back and reapply. Easy as that.

There was the drawback of leaving yourself open while you were doing that, but Valley figured she would be okay. Julia’s leg was properly worked over. What all could she do?

She found out the answer to that question when a foot crashed against the side of her face.

Valley once again sampled the taste of the cowgirl’s hard boot, as it crashed in the side of her face and sent her body spinning around. With her back to Julia, Valley stumbled forward, holding the side of her numbed face.

It might’ve been a heat of the moment, desperation move, but Julia managed to get free of Valley Doll’s clutches. She grunted as her body landed on the mat with a thud, but immediately she rolled herself right back toward the ropes she’d just been crawling to a few seconds ago.

Going right under them, she grabbed the ropes and dragged herself up onto her good foot, chest heaving with each heavy and rapid breath she took. Once the cowgirl was up, she grasped onto the top rope and zeroed her focus onto Valley, who seemed to be in a daze. Wide open. Once again Julia saw an opportunity to do something she’d never normally hesitate to do, but would be a giant gamble with only one properly functioning leg.

High risk hadn’t stopped her any other time tonight. Why change that now?

“Here we go...” she muttered to herself, then jumped up and landed on the top rope. Kicking off of it with her uninjured foot, Julia threw herself forward through the air while twisting her body, swinging her leg around and aiming to crash her boot into Valley’s Head with her signature Pistol Whip!

This was it. This was the moment Valley had been waiting for. One of them, anyway.

She’d been running this match through her mind ever since the last one she had with Julia, picturing what she’d do if and when she clashed with the cowgirl again. Coming up with strategies. Visualizing counters. Doing her best to study the moves of the younger high-flier and coming up with effective ways to throw monkey wrenches into her plans.

All that planning.

All that waiting.

Valley’s eyes opened and looked to the screen, watching as Julia jumped up on the top rope. Muscles tensed. Heartbeats paused. She’d need perfect timing for this.

When Julia took to the air, Valley did the same, leaping up into a backflip. The move took her legs into a wide arc, one that would - theoretically - connect with Julia’s head.

It was going to be a car crash, even if it landed perfectly. Valley just hoped she came out on the good end.

Julia knew a boot someone’s head was about to take an intense impact from a devastating kick. But as she flew through the air, the cowgirl never would’ve guessed she would be on the receiving end of it.

But just when she was rounding out and getting to the part where she expected to feel her kick knocking Valley Doll into a semi conscious state, she instead felt a heavy blast of an impact right against her own head! And like a bird shot out of the sky, Julia dropped right down to the canvas.

The crowd leapt to its collective feet and roared in awe at the amazing display of precision and acrobatics. And while Julia would no doubt be right with them in that if she were watching it, it was a little hard to show that sort of emotion at the moment.

Right now all the masked blonde did was lay still, flat on her back, with her eyes glazed over. It was a miracle she hadn’t been completely knocked out. A hand weakly moved over her head while a faint groan escaped her lips. But those were the only signs that Julia was even conscious.

Julia Rogers vs. Valley Doll II - Try Again - Page 7 Empty Re: Julia Rogers vs. Valley Doll II - Try Again

The sound of colliding body’s echoed through the arena, as Valley crashed hard with Julia. It wasn’t a complete win - she’d taken a lot of the oomph out of the Pistol Whip, but momentum still had a say in the matter, and she wound up taking a nasty hit on the back. What was more, she got sent crashing to the mat and nearly landed right on her head. Good times.

But, when she rolled over and saw Julia there, laying like she’d decided to take a nap mid-match, she knew it was worth.

Valley was close now. She’d been holding back her usual flair, going with a simple, effective style, but that didn’t apply here. That was only one way to end the match.

Valley sat up and stood, as simple act that required no small amount of grunting and groaning on her part. But she got it done. She stood tall. She walked. And, as she made her way to the corner. The crowd knew what was coming, and even if they didn’t, she would remind them.

”Time to fly!”

Valley screamed to the heavens and pulled her up on the turnbuckle, rising with one step, then the other, until she was all the way up. With her feet poised on both pads, Valley began to straighten, saying a quick prayer as she rose higher and higher.

Deep breath. Deep breath. Go.

Valley flipped back and got big air, turning into the rotation for a typical moonsault. Instead of the usual twist, however, she gave the leap much more power than usual, enough to carry her through the first rotation and into another one. That power carried her through, kept her spinnin, so when she finally crashed on Julia, chest, she’d be hitting with insane force.

The Double Rotation Moonsault. Or, as Valley called it, her Full Moonsault.

Julia Rogers vs. Valley Doll II - Try Again - Page 7 Empty Re: Julia Rogers vs. Valley Doll II - Try Again

Julia was too dazed to register the rising noise among the crowd as Valley Doll moved toward the corner. Every sound that reached her ears sounded far more distant than it should’ve. And as her foe began to ascend, the cowgirl still hadn’t moved from her spot on the mat.

When her senses did recover enough for her to be able to see and hear somewhat clearly, out of the corner of her eye she saw the other blonde just in time to catch sight of her leaping off the top rope! An alarm rang in her head and she desperately tried to will her body to move away. But her body was severely weakened as it was, not to mention one limb had been rendered completely useless.

In short, she was a sitting duck.

“UGHH!!!” Julia gasped out as Valley crashed down right onto her torso! Both flips had been executed flawlessly, leading to a picture perfect impact that made Julia’s arms and legs jolt up only to flop right back down.

It seemed any resistance Julia had left in her body had just been blasted out of her right along with the air in her lungs.
