Julia Rogers vs. Valley Doll II - Try Again

Valley took wobbly steps as she recuperated outside of the ring, rapidly blinking with every step. Funny thing about being a kick chick - she dished them out so often, it was easy to forget what it felt like to take them. Julia would be giving her strong reminders, she was sure.

Her head shot up when she noticed that the crowd was growing louder, likely meaning that Julia was setting up for something behind her. If she'd just gone for whatever she was trying, though, maybe there was a chance Valley could turn around in time to nix it.

She spun about on her heel, looked up, and...nope, too late.

It was all Valley could do to get her arms up as Julia turned herself into a human wrecking ball, coming down hard on her. Minimal protection, if that much, and it didn't save her from getting slammed up against the barricade by the wild attack. She went flailing about and wound up on her side, hissing and moaning as she caressed her back.

Oh, well. She'd started good. That had to count for something.

Julia crashed down onto Valley, slamming her into the barricade before sending both girl sprawling out over the floor at ringside. The fans shouted and cheered, and despite the aching pains she was already collecting, she couldn’t help but smile. The sound of an energetic crowd like this never failed to have that kind of effect on her.

But she didn’t linger long. The cowgirl rolled onto her knees, then reached out to grab onto Valley’s blonde locks. Gingerly she’d rise back up, bringing her foe right along with her, before leading her over to the ring and attempting to roll her back in under the bottom rope.

If she could get her in, Julia would then climb onto the apron and hold onto the top rope, waiting for Valley to start getting up again...

In the back of her head, Valley applauded Julia for an expertly done and boldly executed senton. Not enough people did moves off the apron, in her opinion, and it was good to see a young wrestler who liked to spice things up.

In the forefront of her head, however, she was busy dealing with the mounting pain coursing through her body, reeling from the cannonball blow.

Luckily, Julia was there to help her back up. Sort of.

”Owowowow-” Valley muttered as her short hairs were yanked up, forcing the rest of her body to go along for the ride. Julia wanted her in the ring, and she didn’t have the ability to deny her - in she rolled, going in under the bottom rope.

Still hurting, but eager to get the momentum swinging back her way, Valley pushed her way back to her feet after a moment, rising up with creaking bones. She got two solid feet on the ground soon enough, and turned around to see what her opponent was getting up to...

Normally, Julia didn’t feel very nervous at all about attempting her high flying antics. But this was a little different. While she stood there and measured Valley, the back of her mind was still heavily focusing on the nagging pain in her wounded leg. She couldn’t try what she was about to do with just one leg. She’d need both. And if one gave out on her midway through...well, it wasn’t going to be a pretty sight.

But when had Julia Rogers ever once chickened out of a dive off the ropes? Never. Damn sure wasn’t about to be a different story now.

“Come on. Ya got this...” she quietly muttered to herself. Then when the time was right, she grunted while jumping up onto the top rope. Both feet landed, but the wounded leg wobbled. Even still, cringing in pain with the movement, Julia pushed off the rope with her legs and launched herself through the air! It was the sloppiest, ugliest flight of this little bird’s life, and for a split second she questioned whether she’d gotten enough of a push to even make it to Valley. But she threw her arms out and attempted to come crashing torso first right into her foe with a cross body!

God, how was Julia still working with that injured leg? When Valley got hers hurt, she could barely break into a run for a little while. Julia was showing the pain, but she still effective in the air. Her wings still needed more clipping, apparently.

She turned around with the intention of doing just that, expecting her opponent to be making her way into the ring. And, to her credit, that was exactly what Julia was doing on. The only problem was, she was coming in a bit higher than anticipated.

Julia was by no means a heavy girl - her official weight wasn’t listed, but she couldn’t have weighed anymore than Valley did, she was sure on that. Even so, it didn’t take much weight to do big damage, particularly when you were coming in high and you had a flatfooted opponent to catch off guard.

Valley got her hands up at the last second, a weak attempt to catch Julia, but it didn’t make a difference - down she came, crashing hard on Valley and driving her back into the mat like a railroad spike.

The daredevil’s gamble miraculously paid off, and down Valley went again! Though it didn’t come without a price. Immediately Julia rolled right off of her foe, grabbing at the injured leg and hissing through grit teeth. Between the push off the ropes, the collision into Valley and the drop back down to the mat, no part of her little stunt had done the leg any favors.

But the more time Julia spent nursing her wounds, the more time she was giving Valley to do the same. Realizing this, the cowgirl groaned as she pulled herself back over to the other blonde, laying cross her chest and reaching out to hook a leg for a pin attempt.

“One...!” the ref would call out while slapping the mat to begin the count.

Julia crashed into Valley, and if anyone asked her how bad it felt, she’d tell them that it hurt every bit as much as you might think. Julia had a strong, hard body, and getting crushed under its flying weight was no fun.

That being said, it wasn’t a picnic for Julia either, and as she dealt with her hurting leg, Valley couldn’t help but weakly smile as she laid there.

It was only a momentary delay, however, as Julia wisely went for the pin a second later.

”2…!”

Valley kicked out before the referee could even raise her hand again, flopping away and rolling on her chest. Hurt, but not that hurt, and still smirking. ”Not bad. Need a lot more, though.”

Julia wasn’t exactly surprised when Valley kicked out of the pin, but even still she couldn’t help but groan a bit. It definitely would’ve been nice if that was the end of it, and she could go head to the back to get some ice on her leg and get the healing process over with without it having to take any more damage tonight. Realistic? Nah. But it would’ve been nice.

“Don’t ya worry, Val. We’ll get there...” Julia replied, once again reaching for Valley’s hair to “help” guide her back toward a vertical base. As she did, the masked blonde looked around, mapping out the nearest corners and distances to the ropes. The wheels in her head were turning and turning, trying to piece together what she should try next...

The referee was already back on her feet, circling around the two fierce fighters as they started to go back at it. Wise move. You could tell from her exasperated huffs that Julia was getting a bit irritated, more eager and energetic. That meant things would be getting wilder and wilder, and with such quick opponent's proper distance was a must.

It also meant that Valley would have a bit of an opening. As she rose once again, her hair gripped tight in the cowgirl’s grip, Julia had to take a second to consider her options. In this situation, one second could be a second far too long.

When they were high enough up, Valley reached up and grabbed hold of Julia’s hair - not hard to do, since it was all over the place - and secured her own grip, yanking the cowgirl’s head down. From there, she jumped down, kicked her legs out, landed on her butt, and drove the tip of Julia’s chin into her skull, going for a sit-out jawbreaker.

Athletes are often told, “Never take your eye off the ball.” In the context of a wrestling match, as wise as that might be, it wasn’t always practical. A wrestler needed to have a good idea of their surrounding before attempting to make use of any gameplan.

But, she took a moment too long. Valley caught Julia with her eye off the ball. And the next thing the luchadora knew, her own hair was being grabbed and her head yanked down, and then...

“Agh!” she yelled out as she was abruptly rocked with a jawbreaker from out of nowhere! Julia’s head fired back and brought her whole body stumbling with her as she fell down onto her rear, dazed and covering her jaw with a hand.
