Animalistic Tendencies W/ Shido vs The United Kingdom Elite

John had to admit, kicking Shido there felt good. One of the good things about wrestling was that, Shido seemed to know what he was doing. But he was still an underdog when all things was considered, John meanwhile had moved out of his amateur days and become quite good in the ring. Taking advantage of Shido's mistake was part and parcel of it. Now was the time to try and put the guy through some more pain, it was quite clear that he was the weak link of the enemy team.

But what John didn't expect was how Shido was going to get himself out of this situation, he literally crawled through the jean clad legs of the artist. That was....unexpected, and in response Mr Carnaby had hesitated before checking behind him. The master of creation had wanted to maybe take the enemy into the champs corner, give em a taste of glory. No chance there though.

The artist had caught Ryan doing a hand motion out the corner of his eye, the other half of the Tension tag champs subtly told John to hold where he was. Why? But John knew that Ryan was quite often strategically sound, the paragon of Britain was a noted chess player. So John simply moved to the right and back, to the ropes and bide his time for now.

Shido wasn't sure if he had just crawled quickly enough or if he was able to get through simply because John was surprised, but he let out a sigh of relief as soon as he had made it across the ring from the supposed 'master of creation'. Shido felt like he could keep going but he sensed frustration from his corner with how he was doing. It was his first tag match and probably the highest profile match he had been in. It was understandable that people would think of him as the underdog going in, but the last thing he wanted to do was prove them, right. John didn't seem to want to tag out and Shido didn't either, but he wouldn't put his desires before that of his team.

Shido was close enough to his corner and far enough away from John that he could reach it without interference. He would kip up off the ground and walk casually to his partners, hoping they weren't too peeved with him. "Hey, guys. Sorry to keep you waiting...is he ok?" he would address Juniper and Sabre with a smile, showing he was enjoying things while still inquiring about what's up with Nick on the phone at ringside.

Juniper was annoyed. She looked back at Nick for a moment before looking at Shido with an even more annoyed look than before. "Is he okay...Is he okay?! You wont be okay if we end up losing so quickly!" She pulled him close and smacked the back of his head.

"Focus on your opponent. Im all for you staying in, if you want. Just know that you can tag one of us if you need to get out. Just know that if John gets you trapped, then you might as well call it over. Now get back in there!" She half encouraged and half berated.

When he left, Juniper would look back again to Nick walking off while on his phone. But he wasnt apart of the fight at the moment, so it didnt matter.

Shido was bewildered by Juniper's pep talk/reprimanding. He didn't know how to take it at first and he rubbed the back of his head where she hit him, but he resolved that it was positive feedback and was coming from a good place. This match meant a lot to June and Sabre. Shido just happened to be roped into it and he wasn't really keen on the rivalry they had with UKE. Having fun and having a good match was always his prime directive and that wasn't gonna be good enough here. For the sake of his team in this match, he would have to value winning more than his love for wrestling, itself.

Shido simply gave Sabre a reassuring smile and then answered Juniper with his standard "Yes, ma'am." before walking back to the center of the ring to engage, who he expected to be John, yet again. Hearing his partner's desire to see him prosper and help their team win helped keep him in high spirits and ready to deal with whatever UKE wanted to throw at him next!

The UK Elite wondered about this team they were facing, perhaps they had some form of rapport. When it came to support the British team had all their bases covered, evident with Ryan and John exchanging glances and grins. Lucy meanwhile gave a nod to the artist, her silence was rather odd. But John knew that she was just fine in terms of fighting, in fact recently she'd been more rough than usual when it came to sparring.

Juniper touched Shido, which usually meant a tag. But it didn't seem the case here, which was fine by the artist. He'd already pegged Shido as the weak link, and there was that saying about the chain....Still this guy showed he wasn't some random yahoo, speed was on his side.

But that could also work in the young man's favour, perhaps lure him into a hold or something along those lines. With that John moved forward and to the left, keeping that ring positioning in mind and seeing what Shido was gonna try next.

Shido returned to engage John yet again! His spirits held high and his smile still apparent despite the mixed response from his corner. He would try to close the distance between the two, opting to move in on John as he drew closer. Just like earlier, Shido didn't have a set plan. So far, he seemed to be good at calling attention to himself. Perhaps he could draw more of the attention of the other members of UKE in the corner...

He would let out a quick kick upon getting close to John, aiming for his leg and upper thigh! If this worked out for him, he'd offer some banter "Ever play tag? You're it!" He'd say with a childish grin, trying to goad John into attacking.

Closer, yeah that was how John liked it in battle. He wasn't the fastest man on the planet after all, he could move but it just wasn't his thing. After all when the opponent was grappled that allowed the artist to simply work and do what he did best, so far this match was leaning into the favour of Britain's finest. But it was going to be a long one, best to try and set the dominance right now.

John began to move in, when Shido sent a kick his way. The attack hit and earned a wince from the master of creation, he said nothing in response to Shido's words. Trash talking had little effect against John, nothing the fanboy could say would pale in comparison to what Lucy could do to him. Still Shido was fast and could hit, no doubt in an effort to try and chop the master of creation down to size.

With that in mind the artist would try to grab hold of Shido by the arm and back, and send him to the far ropes with an Irish whip. John had the strength advantage and would attempt to put it to good use here, and on the rebound he'd try to catch Shido and send him down to the mat with a drop toe hold.

Shido's antics didn't seem to get to John riled up. But that didn't mean he'd stop anytime soon if he could help it. He'd focus for now and try to get some kind of advantage. John had managed to grab the kid and send him speeding towards the ropes for an Irish whip! Shido didn't have a plan, but he was in his element. He'd dash towards the ropes and notice John telegraph the drop toe hold as he ran back towards the center of the ring! Shido would react by jumping nimbly and attempting to evade the trip, thus running back to the ropes across the ring, once again!

If this worked, he would have to try a move of his own on the way back. Shido couldn't think of anything elaborate on the spot. A quick strike would make the most sense, but striking wasn't Shido's strong suit, which was ok as long as no one else knew. He'd go for a something simple that's worked for him in the past, a quick, small drop kick to the shin. This maneuver has helped him take down bigger opponents, as he would often find himself paired up against people taller than him, like the master of creation.

In terms of fighting John could be rather simple and straightforward, sure he knew a wide array of submission holds that caused significant damage to any part of the enemy. But aside from that he wasn't very creative outside of his holds, he was good at what he did but inconsistent in other things. Which led to Shido being able to evade his trap setup and deftly cross over to the other ropes, perhaps the artist had underestimated his opponent. Though inwardly he'd deny it.

John quickly got up and moved forward to try and catch the opponent, when they were grabbed that meant the artist could get them. But Shido would be able to dodge the grapple attempt of the artist, and get blasted down low in the shin. As John moved forward Shido got him in the shin, which knocked Mr Carnaby down to the mat. With him wincing and using his hands to clutch his affected area, no muscles were pulled he thought. But still that was gonna make it a bit harder to stand on, might be time to consider pulling out.....

Shido would normally think his next move through before committing to it, but he didn't have time for that here. For the sake of his team and to try to make a name for himself in this match, he'd have to keep up the offense, or so he believed. Having successfully brought the taller man down, a veteran of tag matches might have tried to bring them to their own corner to wail on them with their team. But Shido's first instinct was to attempt a standing moonsault and go for a pin if John on his back.

"Hope this move is graceful and artsy enough for ya, mate!" Shido would say before doing the moonsault. He didn't anticipate getting a three count, but perhaps a pin that would score a one or two count would put the rest of UKE on notice.
