Peace Across Worlds

He laughs a bit. "I know.I dont expect you to be a manager 24-7,Miss Lina." Something was off.Jay wasnt acting his cold,distant and mean self.He sort of saw it;but had no idea if Lina was able to see that he had changed from when they had first met.The water was bubbling,but not quite yet boiling.

"What'cha making back there anyway?" She looks back at him for a moment.

She could see that Jay was preparing preparing raw chicken.He put a tray of it now inside of the oven after rolling them in bread crumbs. "Baked chicken and pasta.Does that sound good to you,Miss?" He asks.After washing his hands,Jay took off the cat ears and tail.Next,he would put a good amount of pasta into the boiling water.

After all was said and done,he sat down on the couch next to her and sighed.

"I'll admit that sounds a little early in the day for a combination like that but I'm not against it." She tells him with a smile, liking the sound of it. "You ok?"

"Well,it is morning...True.But,a hearty breakfast makes for better energy."

When he was asked if he was okay,the boy simply shrugged. "I had some nightmares last night,honestly.They made me feel trapped and alone in the world.That is,until you sprayed me with water an hour or so ago." He leans back and looks up at the ceiling. "Am I....Sick? Twisted?"

She wasn't denying that statement. When he tells her about what happened that night she asks him if he wants to talk a little bit about it. She isn't sure how to answer his question but will listen to him.

"There really isnt much to talk about.....I just get a lot of jazz for being a sadist.I know girls dont like it,but its hard to suppress." He doesnt stop looking up at the ceiling. "Its like wanting something that no one else does,and look down on you for wanting."

"How does one get into that sort of thing anyway?" she asked him. "Maybe there is someone just as messed up that likes that sort of thing done to them by a guy, and I don't want to judge you for it but I'm not into that, and I'm guessing Veldaris isn't either, since you lost your virginity to her." She look at him with the look of she's trying to think of something supportive but she is struggling. "I guess I can keep an ear open and let you know if I see anyone that likes that sort of stuff done to them but I can't promise anything."

"There are various factors....Like me,some just from birth,some from always getting the power over people,some even from never having power and suddenly getting....Then using it for evil.Im not saying it HAS to be someone that likes getting beat up,just someone that understands."

He stood back up. "Dont worry,i-its fine.You dont have to look for anyone....Thats not a part of your job." Jay stirred the pasta and checked on the chicken.

As he goes to check on things she stills there quietly, unsure of what to say.
