Sky Captain Rosemary Maynard vs Yayuuki "Lucky" Sakura

The two woman had been evenly matched with strength, she knew as much from their earlier grappling. What it came down to was finesse. As Sakura tried to bring their arms down, Rose fought it, leaning in to press her leverage so close they were almost able to touch their noses. A bit of sweat was beginning to bead on her brow as she struggled to keep up the pressure.

Wish her own push having met a brick wall, remaining deadlocked didn't server her well. As the two women fought to gain control all she could do was minimize the amount of control Sakura had over their arms. She started to lose ground, the toll of the earlier submission moves catching up to her, weakening her ability to fight back Sakura’s march forward.

Rosemary let out a small whine as she tried her hardest to fight it, leaning in even closer, trying to switch up her footing, anything. But once Sakura had started pushing them, the cheerleader might as well have been a slow and steady bulldozer. The Sky Captain didn't seem able to stop her. Her boots dragged on that mat as she was brought all the way to the corner where she had managed to deadlock them again by bracing a boot up against the turnbuckle.

Every inch she was pushed back only made the stare into Sakura’s eyes with defiance. She knew she was fighting a losing battle in this test of strength, but she didn't once resort to attempting to strike the woman opposite her in a dishonorable way, even if it found her lodged into the corner. Her arms strained as she was pushed back up against the corner, unable to hold Sakura at bay any longer without leverage.

Her back arched up against the turnbuckles, puffing out her chest, exposing her midsection. With her hands locked with Sakura’s, she could do nothing to stop the girl's knee from burying into her stomach, making her lurch forward to lean herself up against her captor as she gasped for air. Rose’s body pressed up against the cheerleader, resting her chin on the girl's shoulder. She pulled at her arms, trying to weakly wiggle her hands free so she could attempt to fight back.

Rosemary panted softly as she was held into the corner. Her strength sapped by a knee effortlessly driven into her stomach. Her chin slowly slipped from Sakura’s shoulder, letting her forehead rest against the girl. Her attempts to pull free had gotten her nowhere. Even if they had been evening matched before, right now the peppy girl holding her down might as well have been a giant compared to her. She waited for another knee… a strike… a throw… it never came.

Rosemary groaned softly as Sakura wrapped her arms around her, squirming a bit as she was pressed up against the girl. As she was pulled from them corner, her boots slowly dragged, walking with her captor as she was lead along. A shiver ran up her spine as one of Sakura’s palmed traced the curve of her her back. Then they stopped.

Rosemary winced as the gentle embrace tightened around her. The almost pleasant trip of being dragged across the canvas coming to an end. Sakura ripped the Sky Captain from the ground, twisting with the woman in the air before slamming her down. She let out a cry as she hit the mat, the weight of the cheerleader pressing her down onto the canvas. She wheezed beneath her opponent as she was once again laid out.

Rosemary had become quite familiar with the canvas tonight. Sakura continued to floor her every time the two clashed without fail. It was her need to accept the challenges laid that ultimately found her on the losing end of the battle. It locked her into fighting the type of match the cheerleader liked and limited her potential. She supposed in that was her opponent was playing her for the fool… though she wasn't sure how much of that was intentional planning versus the girl just having fun wrestling her. It must have been nice to be this fresh of a face to wrestling to be manhandling a seasoned pro…

She groaned slowly as Sakura crawled on top of her, laying her weight down over her. A simple pin, leaving her arms and legs free. Rosemary reached up, weakly draping an arm across the cheerleader’s shoulder. The first count was made. Her other arm wiggled free from beneath Sakura, wrapping around the girl’s legs, pulling them together. The second count was made.

Before the third, Rosemary bucked, bridging her back, pushing up off the mat to take some of the girls weight off of her by shifting her opponent higher up on her body. She lowered herself back down a bit before kicking off the mat again, throwing her legs up to roll the two women over so she was now the one on top. Her arms tightened around Sakura’s legs and head, trying to pull the girl into an extremely tight package pin as a last ditch effort to swing things back in her favor.

Rosemary had been running on fumes for the later end of their match. Every time she got a bit of wind back in her sails, Sakura was quick to pull things back in her favor. The cheerleader was tenacious, talented, and beautiful. Three things that would serve her extremely well in this business. While the Sky Captain was hardly a benchmark for the toughest of opponents, she was certainly one of the more difficult women to out down for good. Her spirit was far more powerful than her body, something she had proved every time she challenged for the belt back in Cutlass Wrestling.

Sooner or later though, she wasn't going to be able to hold back Sakura from pinning her, or worse, being choked out. Some of the cheerleader's luck seemed to have been rubbing off on her in their encounters this far, soaring her from the things that could finish her completely. Now was her golden opportunity. Her last ditch hope. Something to detail Sakura’s freight train momentum that continued to run her down. A simple but effective small package pin. She had rolled through, holding onto Sakura as if her life depended on it with all the strength she could muster. She had leverage working for her, but how much gas did the cheerleader have left in the tank.

The counts fell one after the other… it was over. She had somehow managed to squeak out a sudden surprise victory. She dropped Sakura’s legs to the mat, rolling onto her back to simply lay. Exhausted as she breathed out heavy pants. She couldn't believe it… shlo she gave her thigh a pinch to make sure Sakura had not actually choked her out at some point and she was dead or dreaming. “Ow…” she murmured softly.

Sakura was already up, with energy to spare as Rose remained on the ground utterly spent. This girl had amazing potential, she just needed to focus in the right places. She eyed the offered hand, reaching out to take it lightly. The cheerleader had to do most of the lifting to help her up, Rose seemed a bit wobbly still. “So I did… my thanks. You are quite an impressive woman.”
