Green Flame

After Chelsea confirmed that she was ready, Navi would raise her hand, and shout:

"START!", loud enough for both women to hear.

Both women immidiately moved towards the middle of the ring, and locked up in a test of strength!

Despite the redhead being smaller, and seemingly lighter than the opposing greenette, it seemed as if their physical strength matched on anothers, as neither woman would move an inch for the first few seconds after the lock up...

"Grrrrgh...OK, let's try this out..."

Trying out her newly learned holds, Melody would let go of Chelsea's left hand to grab her right with both, in order to twist it for a wristlock!

From there, she would try to get Chelsea's arm behind her back for a hammerlock!

Chelsea was quick to lock up with Navi, pushing into her to get a good start to this little spar. By no means the strongest chick out there Chelsea felt like she was holding her own. Though as she went to go and try something else the girl tried to get around her, locking her in a hammerlock and trying to wrench her arm as far up as possible.

Chelsea winced as her arm was pulled in the lock but she quickly began moving about to try and find a counter to it before it was too late, trying to turn and get her arm free and turn to face Melody and hit her with an elbow to keep her from tightening the lock before she could get free.

Melody tried to keep Chelsea's arm in place, trying to transition to a waistlock, but the redhead would, managing to turn to decrease the strain the hold put on her arm, before elbowing Melody in the face to force the greenette to release her trapped arm!

Melody would do just that, but, on instict, would repay the elbow strike in kind by launching a stiff forearm strike to her sparring partner's head!

"Nggh!" Chelsea groaned as she took a forearm to the back of her and moved forward a little as she brought her hand to her head and turned around looking at her sparring opponent. Grumbling something as she put her hand down she moved in and tried to send a kick to her opponents leg.

Whether it connected or not, Chelsea would try to move in and get her arms around her head, send a knee to her gut and drop her with a ddt to slow the match down. If that hit Chelsea would try and get on top of her opponent and push them to her back and start pulling her into an stf.

Melody hissed as Chelsea's foot connected with her thigh, stunning her long enough for the redhead to grab greenette's head, and send a stiff shot with her knees to her stomach, before dropping her down to the mat with a quick DDT!

Not wanting to give her partner any breathing room, Chelsea would trap one of Melody's legs between her own, locking her arms around her head to trap Melody in an STF!

Both Melody and Navi had their own opinions to the hold, Navi growling as Chelsea, once again, used her favorite submission like a nothing hold, like a Boston Crab or a Headlock, while Melody loudly screamed in pain as Chelsea put a massive strain on her knee, spine and neck.

Remembering her ref duties for the mock match, Navi would ask her friend: "
Want to give up, Mels?"

"AAAAAAHHHH, N-no!", Melody refused. This was part of the reason why she was training with the holds over the last couple of weeks. TO efficiently escape any situation like this one, so that she neither taps out, nor stays in the hold for too long risking long-term pain on a body part for the rest of the match.

Quickly at her wits, Melody started to pull herself and Chelsea towards the ropes, desperate to get a rope break to escape from the hold!

"Yeah Mel, you wanna give up. I can pull on this pretty hard when I need to." Chelsea said as she kept up the stf submission hold. Though Melody refused to call it quits now Chelsea wasn't actually expecting one so soon. instead she tried to tighten the hold and pull on the leg as the girl started to make a push for the ropes.

Though Melody had to deal with her weight she was holding up well enough and slowly making the ground she needed to get closer and closer to the ropes while the redhead stayed put to wear her down for some later moves, to her leg and back of which she had plenty of.

Stubbornly, Chelsea remained at her current position, only tightening the hold further to cause more pain to Melody as the greenette got closer and closer to the ropes, shaking her head to both Chelsea and her best friend asking whether she wanted to quit...

A full minute after first being trapped in the hold, however, Melody would finally reach the ropes, grasping them fully for Navi to see:

"Rope break! Let her go, red"

Holding Melody in the tight submission hold Chelsea pulled on the STF submission hold while Melody slowly made her way to the ropes and was able to get a hold of them to try and break up the hold. Eventually her hand got on the ropes and Navi called for the ropebreak while Chelsea held it for a second and then let go rolling back to her feet as she waited for Melody to get back up.

"Hope your ready, that leg of yours is looking like a pretty good target after being stuck there for a solid minute." Chelsea said moving around on her feet as she waited for Melody to move up to her feet and she could keep up the attack.

Melody successfully managed to get herself to the ropes after a good minute of being trapped in the STF by Chelsea. With the red head following the rules, she let go of the hold on the orders of Navi, giving her space to get back to her feet.

The greenette would use the ropes to do so, holding her hurt neck, and noticing after putting her feet on the canvas that, just like how Chelsea said, the leg that she had trapped in the STF was hurting a tiny bit. And if her partner was to be believed, she would continue to work it over as the spar would progress. Melody could only silently nod to Chelsea, before standing straight, and into the position to continue...

Moving in closer to the redhead, Melody would try to launch her healthy right leg for Chelsea's midsection, trying to nail her with a Roundhouse Kick!

Waiting it out Chelsea thought about how else she could work the leg, since Melody was likely going to be trying to prevent her from locking it in a second time around. She had a few more moves she could bust out for the occasion. As Melody got up Chelsea moved in and tried to grab her head.

Melody stopped her with an abrupt roundhouse kick to her stomach, forcing her to fold up before she was able to get ahold of her. Coughing as she was forced to take a step back but too stunned to do much else beyond that as she put an arm out to try and defend herself.
