New Girl On The Block [Open]

As soon as Blossom released her, Ashlen would rub her neck and arm as she took deep breaths to regain her regular breathing. She had to be quick though for she didn't want Blossom to attack again. She would rush to the new girl and attempted to grab at the arm as she was lying down so that her own legs can pin across Blossom's body. If this worked, Jackpot would hold that arm steady in the armbar.

The dreaded armbar!

Blossom was expecting Jackpot to go for the brawling tactics, but it seemed the lass had some submission chops to work with, too - nasty stuff, too. She groaned as her arm was pulled in the wrong direction, her shoulder threatening to pop free of its moors, her feet stamping defiance on the ground.

Steel yourself, Blossom. Where there's a will, there's a way, and you have plenty of will to go around.

Planting her feet, she'll try to roll to the side, pushing against Jackpot's leg and turning enough so that she can throw a solid punch right in her face - some incentive to let go.

Jackpot kept her hold on the armbar as she felt Blossom groaning and stamping her feet on the mat in pain. She had gotten the new girl subdued for some time before she felt Blossom roll against her leg. When Jackpot looked up to see what's going on, one punch would immediately land on her face. "GAH!!" she would exclaim as she immediately released Blossom and rolled backwards to rub her face as she kept her distance again. "Not bad, Blossom, nice recovery."

"Nice armbar!" She chirped, standing up and trying to ignore the pain in her arm. It wasn't broken, but she needed to give it some recovery time - time she wasn't sure she'd be getting.

She circled around the ring, more cautious now, hiding time and waiting for Ash to makd a move, focusing on her with razor precision.

After a few seconds of rubbing the pain off her face, Ashlen would put her fists up in her fighting stance and focused on Blossom who was circling around the ring. It was clear that her moves were beginning to intimidate her and she had to keep it up. The Irish girl's eyes focused as she thought of what she should do next. "Now, we get serious...so brace yourself!"

Ashlen would bounce on her feet from side to side like a boxer as she wanted to get a little closer to Blossom. Then suddenly, she would take a few quick steps and did a one-handed cartwheel to try and catch Blossom off guard. If this worked, the female fighting Irish would go in for a left and right hook before a punch to the gut.

Gah, this had been the exact last thing Blossom wanted - a fistfight, and from the looks of things, Ashlen specialized in it. Annoying as it was, this was something she would have to get used to; she knew the AFW had no shortage of women who preferred to duke it out, so she was going to need to learn to deal with it.

That didn't make it any less of a pain, though.

The cartwheel did take her off-guard, and it was only by a small miracle that she managed to block the left hook in time - the right hook still crashed past her guard, the stance built more for grappling and less blocking blows, and that point was reinforced by the punch to her stomach that sliced into her washboard abs.

She staggered back and shook it off, quickly moving back towards Ashlen with her arms raised up for distance - she would have to weather this storm and get at her, close the distance, not let her control the fight with her fists and make them more about wrestling skills. If she can get close enough without being floored, she'll wrap her arms around Ashlen's waist and pull back for a belly to belly suplex.

Even though not all her punches were effective, at least Ashlen managed to punch Blossom twice both face and body. She would put her fists up again when Blossom put her arms out for distance. Within moments, Blossom would charge in and she would go for wrapping her arms around her waist. As this was happening, Ashlen would attempt to punch her left and right in the face to make her let go before the belly to belly suplex happened.

If this worked, Ashlen would go free, but if not, she'll be tossed over Blossom and land hard on her back on the mat.

Blossom took the blows to her face, but she's ready this time - the hurt like all get out and slow her down, but this train won't stop.

She tosses Ashlen back in the belly to belly, hurling her across the ring and slamming her down. After she takes a moment to shake off the punches, she'll move in and try to grab Ashlen in an ankle lock, cranking on the pressure.

"NNGH!!" Ashlen grunted from the impact of the belly to belly suplex. The pain was effective on her back, but she didn't want to stop either. She had to show that she's a veteran in this ring and not so much as a pushover. As she was trying to get up, she would feel her opponent coming in to try and grab her for an ankle lock. But as her foot was being grabbed, Ashlen attempted to kick with the other one to push Blossom to the mat so she can get up.

Well, the ankle lock was a good idea,anyway; she always liked it when Kurt Angle locked it in, seemed like a real effective move, and even if hadn't have worked, it might have slowed her down a little. But playing with the feet of a kicker was a dangerous game, and Blossom learned this the hard way as Ashlen's foot struck her in the stomach.

She fell to one knee, coughing and raising up her arms as Ashlen got back up before her - maybe the best tactic would be to rope-a-dope for a little while, let those punches crash against her defense and wait for a good countering opportunity.
