Re: Dark Angel vs Cassie Elliot 2: Ambulance Match
Cassie casually continued her assault to Angel's great dismay. If this was any other match, the referee would've stepped in and stopped this. The Canadian picked her right back up despite her plea and pushed her against the turnbuckle. She couldn't care less about her neck. Her torso was in a catastrophic amount of pain and not even leaving it alone made any pain go away. It just kept hurting worse and worse every second. Angel couldn't breath. It was like she was drowning. She could barely get breaths in and they seemed to do nothing to relieve her. She once again whispered, "Please stop," to Cassie but the girl's mind was set on finishing her off. She flipped Angel over her and onto the mat below.
As Angel's torso struck the ground, though, she coughed. And it wasn't a normal cough. It was a wet one. A warm, heavy wet one. Without any room for it to escape, whatever Angel coughed up hit the inside of her mask and spread up, both blinding and choking her. And it wasn't over yet. Not nearly. Cassie's shin sat over her mouth, crushing the girl and preventing her from pulling in any more air. All the weight of the girl pressed down upon her head. She was unable to see, unable to breath, and unable to move. And Cassie didn't seem like she was about to stop. The crowd cheered her on like a unruly mob cheered on an executioner.
It was the scariest moment of Angel's life.
She tried to tap on Cassie's hip weakly in desperation like it'd somehow convince her to release the hold. All the build up to this moment made everything worse. Angel always had the fear of being left alone in times of need. No one had ever come to her aid. But there was always someone there to prevent something disastrous from happening to her. A referee's conscious would never allow them to let someone die in the ring. And that was something Cassie went out of her way to remove. She wanted to make sure this was only going to end the way she wanted it without any distractions or hindrances. Angel was certain she was about to die.
As her oxygen deprived body shut down, the girl's resistance waned. She painfully and hoarsely coughed one last time before mercifully blacking out. Blood seeped eerily fast through the eye slots and down the sides of her mask. The audience's cheers suddenly became hushed at the sight on the Jumbotron.

Re: Dark Angel vs Cassie Elliot 2: Ambulance Match
Cassie clenched her teeth and strained with every ounce of strength she had, pulling on the back of Angel's head like she intended to break her jaw. Her sweat-slick fingers slowly slipped, and she repeatedly readjusted them. This was it. She was killing the monster.
And then all she could see was blood. She gasped, and pulled her hands away in shock. She stood up off of Dark Angel and backed up several steps. She looked up the entrance ramp, and saw that the medical staff were already on their way. She watched them with muted curiosity and wondered how they managed to make the call from all the way up there. It was surreal, the whole situation. When she looked down at the battered and bloody form of her enemy, she didn't see an injured girl. She saw a monster. A slain dragon. She was more concerned by her lack of feeling about it than anything else.
It had to be one of the more horrific injuries Friction had seen lately. Maybe longer than that. She took a step forward, as if to reach out and touch her, nudge her with her toe, but she stopped short. She stood there, blankly, stupidly, taking in the scene like a mute child. The medical staff quickly examined Angel for spinal injuries and then carefully moved her onto a stretcher and slid her out of the ring. Cassie followed.
The arena was close to silent for the walk back up the ramp, the two medics carrying the unconscious girl and Cassie following several steps behind, as if she were either guarding Angel's body or protecting the medics from Angel. Part of her expected Angel to leap off the stretcher and attack her again, and swing a pipe at her head. It seemed odd that it didn't happen.
Slowly, the realization of what she'd done began to set in. She had done it all herself. Partly in defense, but certainly she continued fighting after she probably could've stopped. What had she done? She took a couple hurried steps to catch up and looked at Angel again, and this time she saw a person. She saw a mask that didn't belong, obscuring the face of a girl like her. She reached out again to touch her, but stopped.
"Wait!"
At the top of the ramp, just as the medics were carrying her backstage, Cassie called out to them. She caught up and put a hand on Angel's foot, and the feeling of it took her breath away. Her whole body tingled with an electricity like she'd never felt before, and while she held her breath, she reached up and grasped the edge of the mask, that stupid white fox mask, in her fingers. She was shaking as she pulled it up and off the girl's face.
Cassie quickly pulled the mask back down, as if to cover up her shame, and fell to the ground. She was limp like a doll kneeling on the floor at the top of the ramp. The image of it, what she'd just seen... could it possibly be true?
What had she done?
