It had been a week since the radio interview and since then Toshiko had been training non stop. After the mean fighting words that Toshiko had given Cassie it would of been stupid not to train. Toshiko had primarily been training because she had spent time watching back Cassie's matches. It was Kia who actually pointed out that Toshiko was in trouble, and for some reason Kia's words buried into Toshiko. The videos proved that Cassie was a great wrestler, she might even be classed as an elite wrestler. Unlike Toshiko she had a positive Win/Loss ratio who was currently even. To make matters worse her videos also revealed that Cassie - while sweet, could turn violent and aggressive very quickly if the wrong buttons were pressed. Toshiko never really enjoyed asking for help but she had listed the help of Kia to help her train in some more submission based wrestling. While Kia was somewhat hesitant at first - stating that it would be easier for Toshiko to try and focus on a KO victory than trying to beat Cassie at her own game, she eventually agreed.

Backstage Toshiko was getting ready for the match. This could be the start of something great, or possibly the beginning of the end for her. A win here would put her on the map, maybe someone would take notice of her, she loud-mouthed and proved she had the muscle and skill to back it afterall. A loss here though - against someone who has been out of the game for a while and losing after what she said would destroy what little reputation she had managed to build up. Toshiko took a few deep breathes to calm herself, trying to find that zone in her mind that made her fight at her best. Soon after she was beckoned to the backstage ramp area, being asked what sort of music she wanted playing as she hadnt really thought about putting a theme together yet. At first she was tempted to steal Cassie's theme, afterall wrestling was just as much a psychological game as it was physical - and having your theme stolen would most certainly anger anyone. However out of respect she decided that she rather wouldn't do that. She decided in the end to have Kakusei Heroism (The Hero Without A Name) By An Cafe[/url:14k6g3e7]

She would walk out onto the ramp as the intro would start. She was never really a show off but she wanted to really play this up. To her this was like fighting for the World Title, all eyes were on her. She would take a confident stride, wearing her usual attire she would get a couple of whistles from the crowd as she made her way closer and closer to the ring. When she was closes enough she would dash forward and slide under the lowest rope with speed, before jumping up onto her feet near the middle of the ring. She would get handed a microphone from the ref which Toshiko would gladly accept.

"I said last week that grappling or submission wrestlers are cowards because they couldn't actually take a direct hit from their opponents or go toe to toe against them. From my interview a challenge was essentially issues and I am never going to back down from a chance to put veterans in their coffins and push myself to the top. Tonight Cassie Elliot is going to learn that lesson the painful hard way, that is if she actually bothers to turn up, wouldn't surprise me if she was too scared to even come down that ramp. Well Cassie, Ya scared yet?"

Kia had managed to get a front row seat to watch the match. She listened to Toshiko's words and shook her head. It was all well and good to play to the crowd, but Toshiko really did believe every word she said and Kia knew it. She could see this night was not going to end well for Toshiko or her. She would cross her legs and watch as Toshiko handed the microphone back to the ref and strode over to her corner waiting to see if Cassie would show up.

Cassie Elliot Vs Toshiko Nada - Standard Match Empty Re: Cassie Elliot Vs Toshiko Nada - Standard Match

Post by Bluemouse Sun Apr 06, 2014 7:26 pm

As the seconds ticked by, the cheers from the crowd fell to an idle roar, and then finally to a murmur. The arena was nearly silent when the house lights dropped, leaving the whole place completely dark until a single ray of light cut through at the top of the ramp.

The spotlight followed a blonde figure, dressed all in spectacular white, down the the middle of the ramp. In the limited light, it was almost impossible to recognize Taylor Parker, dressed in a white tuxedo jacket and short, pleated white skirt, with black fishnets and white knee-high boots laced up the front. She let her long bangs hang down over one eye as she lifted a microphone to her lips, and, in a low, dramatic voice, began to speak.

"Last December," she said, and let the words hang in the air for a moment. "At Avalanche, right here in Tokyo, we witnessed the destruction of an angel..." She raised one finger up in the air. "By an angel... resulting in the rebirth of two angels..." She held up two fingers. "And after that third meeting in the ring," three fingers, "your Baby Bear went home to hibernate for four months." Four fingers.

"And now, she has returned." Pause for effect. Her voice grew to a gritty, exciting shout, and she took a step forward. "She last left this ring as a little baby bear, and she has come back to you as a grown-ass Fox, and she has come back for you..." She leveled her arm down at the ring and pointed a finger at the girl inside. "Toshiko Nada... To show you what true skill is, to teach you manners, and to help you learn respect. You can thank her later, for now everybody... INTRODUCING! Standing five-feet-three-inches tall, weighing about one-fifteen-ish, as terrifying in the ring as she is adorable, my friend, please welcome..."

"FOXY! CASSIE! ELLIOT!"[/url:38q479f5]

Accompanied by the combined thunder of her entrance music and the cheering of the crowd, Cassie bounded onto the top of the ramp, lit up at all angles by spotlights that shown brilliantly off of a white tuxedo jacket with long tails that reached the backs of her knees. Her orange hair was slightly shorter than before, and she appeared leaner in a way that made her seem older. She wore white boots like Taylor's, laced up the front, and under her coat was a version of her suit in bright white, with only subtle gold details and white gloves.

She stood tall, as tall as she could, at the front of the ramp and flung her arms up in the air. The crowd cheered and Cassie made her way down toward the ring while Taylor bounded tirelessly down the ramp and around the ring to fire up the crowd and whip them into a frenzy for her friend. By the time Taylor made it back out of sight backstage, Cassie had climbed into the ring and bowed once to each of the four sides of the ring. Then she faced her opponent and bowed respectfully to her, but cocked her head in a moment of confusion.

"What happened to..." Your other pant leg? She shrugged.

She slid off her tuxedo jacket, folded it neatly, and went back to place it in her corner as the bell rang.

Cassie Elliot Vs Toshiko Nada - Standard Match Empty Re: Cassie Elliot Vs Toshiko Nada - Standard Match

Post by jakeb1993 Sun Apr 06, 2014 7:44 pm

So Cassie had a flashy entrance. Really flashy. Talk about psychological warefare. The fact that Taylor had managed to pump the crowd up to crazy levels had more than likely given Cassie a moral boost and had the inverse affect on Toshiko. It was clear from the crowds reaction that Cassie was the clear favourite. Part of her wished she had picked a fight with Taylor rather than Cassie, at least she would be in familiar territory. As Cassie made her way towards the ring Toshiko noticed right away that Cassie had really grown up, her look, her body, even the way she walked, compared to what she used to look like in her videos this was different. This was the new Cassie, changed by her past. No longer a pushover, but a girl who was going to hold her own. Infact you could of mistaken her for a complete badass, though that illusion was shattered as soon as Cassie spoke. Sure, the muscles, the eyes, the face, all matured but the voice and the speech, same old Cassie by the looks of it.

"They ripped in a fight before i joined the AFW and since then i kept it like this. Well they weren't ripped off they were sliced off. And look at you, all grown up. I meant what i said however. I don't intend to let you leave this ring with your eyes open!"

Kia watched the entrance and made the same observations that Toshiko had made about Cassie. This was a much more wiser Cassie, the four months she had been away were not spent slacking and that was clear from the get go. Kia felt as if it should of been her trying to fight Cassie and Toshiko should be trying to take down Taylor. Be careful Toshiko, if you try and be your usual braggy self and let your guard down she is going to expose your weakness. You are going to have to earn this win, lest you get humiliated and discredited

As soon as the bell rang Toshiko would grin, the adrenaline had started pumping full force and Toshiko got overwhelmed with a sudden burst of confidence. As Cassie would turn around from putting her tuxedo away Toshiko would dash forward , not interested with lock up. She would stretch her arm out early as she ran forward, clearly signalling that she was going to go for a clothesline. On the plus side at least it would allow her arm to build up momentum and be more devastating. She would arm to try and clotheslines Cassie in the chest and try to smash her into the ring corner, starting their match off with Toshiko in a highly advantageous position.

Cassie Elliot Vs Toshiko Nada - Standard Match Empty Re: Cassie Elliot Vs Toshiko Nada - Standard Match

Post by Bluemouse Sun Apr 06, 2014 8:14 pm

While Cassie made sure that her coat remained neat and tidy when she put it under the turnbuckle, fans in the front began shouting and frantically pointing behind her. She spun around to face her opponent just in time for Toshiko's arm to slam into her upper chest and knock her back against the turnbuckles before she dropped to her hands and knees.

"Ungh... hah..." She panted, one hand on her chest, while she tried to get air back into her lungs, and reached out to grab the ropes to pull herself back up to her feet.

Kia had to close her eyes when she saw what Toshiko was trying to do [i]Toshiko! What are doing !? She is going to see you and you are going to get countered! However it would seem that this time luck was on Toshikos side as she was able to hammer Cassie into the corner. 1 point for Brawn. Toshiko would bend down and grab Cassie by the hair, pulling her Upto get feet, making sure to show Cassie how much trouble she was in. Toshiko would use her free hand to punch Cassie in the gut, letting go of her hair as she did so that she could drop to the ground if she needed to. Toshikos brain would eventually engage after the punch a nugget of advice Kia had given her before the match. Submission fighters like to get close and personal. If you stay close to them after a attack they will latch onto you and bring you down'. With that in mind Toshiko would take some steps back to the centre of the ring.

Cassie Elliot Vs Toshiko Nada - Standard Match Empty Re: Cassie Elliot Vs Toshiko Nada - Standard Match

Post by Bluemouse Sun Apr 06, 2014 8:52 pm

"Ah!"

Cassie's hands both latched onto Toshiko's as she was dragged up by her hair, leaving her midsection wide open for the punch that followed. She doubled over and collapsed again, laying folded over on her knees and hugging her belly with both arms.

She drew several ragged breaths while the gymnastics in her stomach subsided, and looked up to see Toshiko backing away from her. Maybe it was meant as disrespect, but it was certainly better than getting beat up some more. She took full advantage of the opportunity to recover, and drew a deep breath before she circled out toward the middle of the ring.

Now that she had her wits about her, she could try to start over and properly prepare herself. She settled down into a grappling stance, her knees bent and hands up in front. Her big green eyes stayed fixed on Toshiko, and all expression left her face. Her stoic, business-like focus was slightly unnerving to see on her cute, innocent face.

She approached her much larger opponent to a distance just outside reach, and then suddenly lunged forward and dropped down to one knee, hands reaching out as if to snag an ankle, but just as quickly as she came she was gone again, back out of reach. She wondered how much Toshiko was looking to anticipate her, and if she had done any homework at all on her.

Cassie Elliot Vs Toshiko Nada - Standard Match Empty Re: Cassie Elliot Vs Toshiko Nada - Standard Match

Giving Cassie the time to recover was in theory a stupid idea. However in practice it worked rather well. If Cassie had managed to get a burst of strength she could of easily of smashed Toshiko against the turnbuckle. While others saw it as stupidities Toshiko saw it as a chance to analyse Cassie. She serious, that goofiness at the start when she entered the ring had gone, it had been replaced by someone who looked as cold and calculating as Toshiko. On hardcore fighters she could deal with it, but on someone like Cassie, it was unnerving. It pierced Toshikos skin and went right for the heart. It scared her slightly.

As Cassie closed the gap between them, Toshiko would keep on the balls of her feet. As soon as Cassie feigned her attack Toshiko would start by moving back the leg that it looked like Cassie was targeted back a full stride, before jumping back with her other leg. It happened all so quickly Toshiko could physically be seen losing balance and nearly fell over. She had to avoid letting Cassie grab her at all costs, even if it meant missing a attack. She was now stuck halfway between the centre of the ring and the ropes, with Cassie, looking and prowling like a tiger, trying to prod and find a weakness.

Cassie Elliot Vs Toshiko Nada - Standard Match Empty Re: Cassie Elliot Vs Toshiko Nada - Standard Match

Post by Bluemouse Sun Apr 06, 2014 9:31 pm

Good.

Cassie drew a long, slow breath in, ironed out the nervous tension in her chest, and as she let it out she relaxed her shoulders and rolled her neck side to side. Despite the lingering pain from Toshiko's early assault, Cassie felt at home now. Toshiko was big and scary, but Cassie wasn't the one who was scared.

She kept her feet planted, knees bent, looking half Toshiko's size in her lower stance, and raised one hand up in the air to call for Toshiko to lock up with her. From the outside, she looked like a mouse taunting an elephant. Inside, though, she was preparing to slay a giant.

Cassie Elliot Vs Toshiko Nada - Standard Match Empty Re: Cassie Elliot Vs Toshiko Nada - Standard Match

Toshiko knew staying on the side of caution was going to get here nowhere in this match, eventually Cassie would find a weak spot and hammer it harder than a demolition crane. However currently She was offering a lock up. Toshiko took a step forward towards accepting it before she stopped and had a brief pause for thought. Why would someone who is currently bending down at half your size offer lock up? Clearly i can outpower her The word outpower in her head convinced her that this was not a trap. She would lock up with the smaller fighter, having to bend at the back in order to make it happen and enable her legs to push properly. She would push with everything she had looking to get Cassie against the ropes, but she had no idea that she had willing just walked into a trap that was about to show her how vast the true skill gap between the two wrestlers.

Cassie Elliot Vs Toshiko Nada - Standard Match Empty Re: Cassie Elliot Vs Toshiko Nada - Standard Match

Post by Bluemouse Sun Apr 06, 2014 9:53 pm

The anticipation in the crowd was building all the way up until their two fighters' fingers touched. In a flash, Cassie snapped her arms down and ducked under Toshiko's hands, and launched herself shoulder-first into the bigger girl's midsection. As she drove into her and grabbed for her legs, it was clear that Toshiko wasn't just going to be plowed over, so Cassie turned a corner, skipped her legs around to the side and dragged her opponent to the mat from there.

Immediately, she worked to improve her position, laying across Toshiko's upper body and pinning her in place with an impressive amount of weight from her small body. She stayed on her toes with her hips up and her chest pressing down on the brawler, and while the ref dropped to check for a potential pin Cassie waited for Toshiko to react.
