I said as a commentator, not competitor. He'd be calling the fights, not fighting them himself. He's charismatic enough to be passable even if his knowledge on the subject is shaky.

They wanted him for a guest appearance before, but WWE refused to let him do it.

For the same reason they grabbed Brock Lesnar.

If he starts training for it, in a couple years he could probably do well (yes, I know he already does jiujitsu). But pro wrestlers tend to peak in their 30's, while the champs of each division in UFC are mostly either 26 or 27.

I hope he doesn't, and I don't think he will, just so that I don't have to be embarrassed for him when he Bobby Lashley's it.

I don't see why he would even be asked to commentate.

UFC fans wouldn't care, and the actual fighters probably wouldn't like the idea of some WWE guy coming in and talking about their fights like he knew what he was talking about, even if he did know what he was talking about.

I hope he stays away from it. There's been enough examples of a fake fighting guy trying to go into real fighting and becoming a failure/laughing stock because of it.

either way there's a chance that this is all a work or not too serious, considering that WWE shop just released a new CM Punk hat and he's taking several months off to heal when he would otherwise be spinning his wheels.

He hasn't been 100% healthy since the Undertaker match, his match quality while still good is not up to his usual standard and with no chance at getting a featured WM match, he's probably just taking a step back and will be back by July or something when his contract's officially up.

I don't think that Punk is going to TNA...He hates TNA and mocks of it everytime he can. The only thing that links him to TNA is Samoa Joe but it's because they are close friends.

Despite that watching him wrestle against Sabin, Aries or Roode would be awesome...but as Alexandra said: We all doubt that TNA will continue in the business til the end of the year...

Another main reason that makes me doubt that Punk is gonna go to TNA is growing a rumor that Vince Russo is going to return to TNA...

Personal Dream:

TNA Goes under.

Vince snatches up Daniels, Kaz, Aries, Sabin, Manic, Roode, Storm, and various others.

Uses smaller guys to rebuild cruiserweight division.

Roode and other guys get used to fill in the IC/US title areas.

Seriously, you think the main events are stale, who the hell wants to watch Kofi Kingston or Dolph Ziggler or the Miz get yet another shot in a row at the mid card belts?
