Pokemon and Pain recovery 2: electric boogaloo

Natalia placed the plater on the bedside table and, ignoring Adrian's question, took her friend by the shoulders and gently drove her back into the bed, closing the curtains again. Then Natalia moved to the big closet that stood right and front of the bed and slid the doors to reveal a 62" flat screen and a Wii. Natalia turned on the TV and quickly changed the channel to Game mode, she didn't wanted to run the risk of having it turn on right on AFW channel. She then turned on the wii and checked the volume. There were fours tower speakers on each corner of the room to provide sound.

"Ok... So what you want to play?... And what you want to eat?" Natalia asked, trying to distract her friend from what had happened. There would be time to talk about this mess once Adrian was less doped and more feed.

"Food!" Adrian shouted exitedly from her new place on the bed "I dunno... got anything that goes with sweet chilli sauce? Because I could really go for something like that... I don't know what but something... gawd my throat hurts... guess that match really did a number on me huh... how loud did I yell to get it to hurt this bad." She asked, most of the match was now a blur. All she knew was something about barbed wire which was how she hurt her hand she guessed and that Taylor didn't really wanna fight her anymore. The reason why? She didn't know. She was just happy that she'd never have to see the blue haired menace in a ring again, even if she had handed her first loss to the cosplayer.

Or that was what Adrian thought anyway.

"Still... can I play Kirby with one hand? it would seem like something cute and fun..."

"Well we can ask for Chinese food or Tai..." Natalia said as she knelt to check what games she had, quite happy to see her friend in a sort of better mood. Kirby Epic Yarn's box was there, but not the disc, so Natalia had to do a deeper search. PokÃmon Stadium, Animal Crossing, Mario Anniversary, Wrestling Angels...
Mhmmm They should make an AFW game... Natalia though, frowning as she saw Megumi and Chigusa in one corner of the cover. "And I should be in the cover" The Dream said giggling. She put the game box back in the low shelf and then she remembered why Kirby's disc wasn't in the box...it was in the wii. She took the wii controllers and adjusted the TV so it will take the wii input and moved back to the bed to handle the controllers to Adrian.

"Chinese sounds nice..." Adrian said, stretching out on the bed, marvelling at all the stuff Natalia had. "Why is everyone richer than me?" She asked as Natalia set up everything "AFW game... pfft those freaking jerkish pop stars would probably suck their way to the covers..." Adrian grumbled, remembering her encounter with them "seriously, I met them and you could not ask for a bigger lot of condescending jerkwards. It's a word."

"Still... thanks Nat... feeling a lot better now." She said. Trying to put on a large smile for her friend.

"Ok... I'll order chinese..." Natalia said as she started to look for her phone. She walked to the bed side and patted Adrian's head and then bent over to search under the bed.

"You know what?" Natalia began to say while looking on the floor, her voice sounding a little funny as she was mostly upside down. "You should go to that Lukretia bitch and demand that she pays you more... " Finally seeing her phone under the bed, a place where it usually ended up, for reasons completely beyond Natalia's understanding. "After this match, and with you in the top ten ranking...and still undefeated in singles...until I get you..." Natalia said giggling as she stretched an arm for the phone. "You deserve a better contract..."


"Hehehe. Maybe you can be in the cover with me, when they finally make an AFW game..." Natalia added as she stood up, winking at Adrian and raised the retrived phone over her head victoriously, before bringing it down to quickly dial for food.

"That would be cool..." Adrian really did appreciate how much Natalia cared for her, even if they had the shakiest of starts together the cosplayer thought that Nat was one of the few people that were more than just friends, she was someone she could rely on if no-one else was there. But there was still one thing she didn't get.

"Uh Nat..." She said in a questioning tone. Trying to press the 2 button on the Wiimote and failing. "I know I tried to hide the fact you lost for the first time but you don't have to do the same to me. I mean Luk said I'd only get the ranking if I won and I passed out... so why do you keep saying I won?" She asked "I know I lost, I lost pretty much everything..." the cosplayer began sadly, curling up into a ball "...so why bother trying to tell me I didn't?"

Natalia looked at Adrian confused, blinking as she tried to understand what the cosplayer was talking about, while holding the phone close to her ear."Oh silly Adrian-chan" The blue-eyed cutie said when she finally realized what was happening. She sat on the bed behind Adrian's curled form and hugged her with one arm, moving her head close to kiss Adrian head.

"You actually won the fight, Adrian. See... After you passed out, Taylor had...like...a huge guilt trip... She took the microphone...insulted the fans...and then...she quitted... So... You won. " Natalia explained rubbing her head gently against Adrian's. " And if that bitch Lukretia doesn't gives you a place in the rankings and full pay and credit, I'm going to break her legs and drop her carcass in a dumpster..." The Dream said frowning, just thinking about the GM made her angry. "Actually... I think I'll do it anyway."

Right then Natalia's call was answered and the blue-eyed cutie turned around to speak on the phone. "Yes? Gloryful Golden Dragon? Yes... Yes... Natalia... Just Natalia... Yep...that's me... Mhmmm... I want a combo 1 with lacquered duck...and a combo 3 with pork chops... And a combo 5 with giant shrimps...yes... And extra fortune cookies... Yes... Wait..." Natalia spoke on the phone, ordering more food that she could possibly eat as usual, then she turned to Adrian. "You want something" She asked, poking Adrian's side.

"I won?" Adrian asked, repeating the words in her her head until they started to make some degree of sense. Taylor had a guilt trip... did she? After everything they did to each other in that match... she just quit?

"I won?" She asked again, a small sinister smile creeping on her face as she slowly started to come to a realization."

"Aha..." she started laughing "I WON! AHAHAHA!" turning to Natalia "Don't you get it? After everything she did, she broke a lot of things, but she didn't break meeeeeheehehe!" The off kilter cosplayer was now rolling on the bed laughing "She choked me soooo many times, probably almost killed me... hmmm... three times, made me go absolutely crazy and I STILL WON!"

"I'm invincible! Wooo!" She declared, rolling off the bed and onto the floor, still laughing despite the pain of her landing.

Natalia raised and eyebrow a little worried by her friend. She covered her mouth and the phone with one hand trying to prevent the guy on the other side from hearing Adrian's maniac laughter. "Yes...that would be all..." The Dream spoke to the phone visibly embarrased and then hung up quickly.

"Adrian!" the blue-eyed cutie yelled as she saw her friend roll of the bed. She quickly moved around the bed to help Adrian, grabbing her by ther good arm and sliding it over her own head, Natalia tried to move Adrian back to the bed. "Please Adrian, don't be crazy"

Adrian's manic laughter stopped sharply as Natalia asked her not to be crazy. "Y...you think I'm crazy don't you?" She asked, tears forming in her eyes as she looked away quickly, trying to bring her bad arm up to try and wipe them away. "Y...you know I'm crazy..." the cosplayer sobbed out. "What am I? ...everyone's gonna hate me... it's that or they're scared or they feel bad for me... just because I..."

"What am I supposed to tell Becks?!" She cried out, flopping face first on the bed.
