Jean Grey vs Yatori - Wrestling match (archived)

Jean kept the headlock at first and would seem to allow Yatori some slack by standing up. But then Jean would go to lift one of her legs and try to drape it across Yatori's shoulders and at the same time shifted her grip a bit. She would attempt to lock Yatori in something of an octopus stretch. However she didn't expect to beat Yatori with this move, more wear her down. If she did get the hold locked on she would only maintain it for about 20 seconds before letting Yatori drop or go.

Yatori grunted as Jean put her in the octopus hold. A veteran of submission holds, she knew better than to squirm uselessly. Instead, she made to fold her legs beneath her while her free arm sought out Jean, seemingly flailing about helplessly. Once she firmly got hold of Jean, the kneeling Yatori would sharply bend forward, tugging with her arm, while her legs kicked out as strong as she could, to try and dump Jean on the mat before her.

Jean wasn't a complete slouch at applying holds. The moment she felt Yatori try to squat down and reach for her, Jean bent back to give the hold one good yank, however, the effort of doing this would force her to let go of Yatori pretty quick afterwards.

Soon as Jean released her, the somewhat breathless Yatori actually sprung off the mat towards the hopefully unwary Jean, aggressively aiming to knock Jean down, buying time for her recovery.

Jean would block Yatori's attempt to knock her down and go for a knee thrust to the gut to slow her down. Then she would try to whip Yatori to the corner. If Jean got her there, she would try to follow up with a charging knee lift. This last move would be done aggressively so if jean hit it would hurt, if she missed however she could be in trouble.

The knee stopped Yatori cold in mid-charge. Already winded, she couldn't resist the Irish whip, crying aloud in pain as she crashed anew into the very same corner Jean had earlier boxed her into.

"Ugh..."

Seeing Jean race towards her, Yatori grimly waited until almost the last moment before dodging. As Jean hits the corner, Yatori would be waiting behind her to go for a lightning quick belly-to-back suplex, hanging on.

Jean hit her knee pretty hard on the corner. She cried out in pain and would most likely fall to the ground holding her leg before Yatori could grab her.

Yatori winced at Jean's injury. And that's why I don't do strikes...

While Jean writhed on the mat, Yatori composed herself. Then she reluctantly went for Jean's injured leg, planning to pull the leg into her legs and arms for a kneebar.

Jean screamed loudly as Yatori hyperextended her leg.

"Oh God, my leg...my leg!!!!!"

The referee came over to ask Jean if she wanted to submit. Hearing this seemed to focus Jean again. She gritted in determination and grabbed at Yatori's head from behind and tried to club at her chest since being in a knee bar usually left the opponent's upper body vulnerable from behind.

If Yatori resisted enough to give her leg another pull, Jean would throw her back against the mat screaming bloody murder.

"Oh God...Oh God....Oh god......!!!"

Her face was twisted as if though she might sob. Then she heard the pounding of the mat as the referee counted her shoulders flat on the mat. Jean threw her shoulder up and with renewed determination, clutched at the back of Yatori's head and upper boddy and started beating at her chest fiercely.

If jean got loose she would roll out of the ring holding her leg close to her sobbing slightly in pain.

Yatori grunted as Jean began to pound on her. Her first reaction was to tighten the hold, getting a pained plea of "Oh God..." out of her opponent, a sign that she had her. Then, as Jean's fists began raining harder and faster on her, Yatori finally decided to shove the redhead away.

"Owww..." I think I got more out of that than her, she thought as she watched Jean escape the ring, rubbing at her chest. She stood up and looked the hurting Jean over. "Daijoubu?" she called out in some concern. "Can you still fight?"
