Echo Alexandira vs Derek Young "Rookie Rumble"

This was quite the moment for the youngest member of the Dominion. Ever since Gwendolyn had joined the ranks of the Dominion as their first female member and perhaps even due to become leader after her legendary clash with Trent Masters, the Protege had been left in the dark by the more senior members of the group. However, this was going to be his big break! Luckily, he was due to wrestle another rookie which would only increase his confidence and chances until he was told that his match was no ordinary match but a mud wrestling one.

The only way he could seize the chance of making a name for himself was by mud wrestling? Derek did not have much of a choice and needed to put up a good show and if wrestling in the mud against a fellow rookie was the way to do it, the Protege would welcome it with open arms. Perhaps it would be a good way to impress Gwen or Trent too. The Protege was clad his blue wrestling briefs, his cheeks blushing a bit as he made his way out to the arena and tried to look as intimidating as he could.

The male wrestler would inspect the mud wrestling pit that had replaced the wrestling ring, he bit his lower lip a bit nervous before hopping over the barriers around it to sink his feet in the mud wrestling pit to get a good feel of the terrain.

"Oh geez" he said trying to think how this was going to work!

Oh man. This was only Echo's third match in the league, and it was against a boy!? and in a mud match!? What had she gotten herself into this time!?

So far, young Echo was 0-2 in her AFW career, but hopefully, tonight would be when she turned things around. She heard her opponent was a rookie as well, and hopefully her training, being a 5th generation wrestler, would give her the advantage!

Echo's Attire:

Coming out to the ring, the greek teenager barefoot as usual, clad in her pink and white shorts and top with her hair dyed pink. She raised her arm as she walked down the ramp, not getting many cheers due to being so new, but getting plenty of whistles and catcalls that made her blush as she reached the mud pit that replaced the usual wrestling ring.

Blushing, she stepped in, feeling the cool mud squish between her toes as she stepped in, trying to get adjusted to the feeling as she looked at her opponent. "So, your uh...your Drake right? I've heard of that group your in, Dominion. My name is Echo Alexandria, and I'll be your opponent today! Don't take me lightly either, cause I'm planning to win this!"

Echo said smacking her wrist to her chest in a declaration of her intention of victory, trying to appear calm and confident, despite her nerves!

Just like Echo, the youngest member of the Dominion faction was also quite nervous. This was his first ever singles match as his other two had been in tag team bouts with Trent and Jacob but tonight he found himself alone in one on one competition. Luckily for him, he was up against a fellow rookie who did not have the best record herself but someone thought it would be funny to have the two compete in a mud wrestling match.

Jacob, whilst waiting in the ring, would feel out his bare feet against the squishy mud. Truth he told, he wasn't sure how he felt about this considering he had never wrestled in such conditions before but he had to take any chance he could get. Soon, his opponent made her way into the ring and the two would meet face to face.

"Um, it's Derek actually but yeah it's nice to meet you um, I mean, no....I will be the victory today" he said blushing himself, not sure if it act tough or just be respectful because he was in two minds. Nodding at her, the two were ready to begin this wrestling match.

The referee would ring the bell and Derek would make his way towards Echo, raising his arms up and signaling her to a grapple battle.

"My bad. Sometimes I mess up names...but I'm ready for you anyway!" Echo replied, trying very hard to sound confident with her last comments. At least she hoped it sounded confident. With no wins to her name, and her second time in a match type she had never experienced before, plus a bigger and no doubt stronger opponent, she wasn't entirely certain this would all end in her favor.

Trying to put her doubts aside, Echo spread her arms as the bell rang and Derek came after her, offering her a lock up. Wanting to get a feel for the mans strength, and not sure how better to start a mud match, Echo met him in the middle of the ring and accepted the lock up, pushing hard against her fellow rookie as they tried to see who would overpower the other!

"Um that's okay I think" he would reply, scratching the back of his head. He wasn't the best at names either but he made sure to remember Echo's name due to it being his debut and he wanted to remember it and the wrestler that he was planning to beat. After the small talk was over, the two wrestlers walked their way against the friction of the mud to the middle of the ring and locked up against each other in a grapple.

Derek and Echo would push each other as hard as they could but with his slightly heavier and muscular frame, it was clear that Derek was taking the advantage. Instead of pushing her back to the corner though, he wanted to bring her down onto her back and he tried to lean over towards her and attempt to take her down whereby if he managed to do so he would attempt to mount her body in a full body pin and grapevine.

Credit to Echo, she actually DID have some strong greco-roman wrestling skills, due to her upbringing and school events. In other circumstances, she would have blocked his attempt to go for her legs, by dropping down and applying a headlock to force them into a bad position she could take advantage of.

Unfortunately, the height difference combined with the large strength advantage her opponent held made that near impossible, and she found her self dropped onto the mat on her back, mud splattering everywhere as she landed on the mat, her opponent on to of her. He pinned her down, interlocking his legs with her own and laying on top of his smaller and weaker opponent, the mud feeling cool on her bare skin as she struggled to get free of this damned hold!

He knew that he could use his strength as an advantage against Echo and he did just that. While Derek was still a rookie and lacked technical ability, it was quite clear that he could easily use his height and weight advantage to bring her down to the mud pit. From there, he would squirm on top and quickly interlock his legs with hers to keep her pinned to the mats while he pushed his weight down on top of her.

He would grab her wrists to pin them over her head and completely have her shoulders pinned down while he grinded himself against her. "Um well I think this counts as a pin right?" he would say while blushing madly. The referee would slid next to them and start her count noticing her shoulders to the ground. "1....."

Echo struggled as hard as she could, raising her shoulders, arching her back, trying to keep from being pinned in the mud by her opponent. This proved much more difficult than she wanted to admit though, as Derek, despite not being as experienced as he other teammates, still was bigger and stronger than the 18 year old greek girl, and was able to pin her down to the mat, interlocking her arms and pinning her wrists above her head!

"Gah! No no no, I won't lose to you this soon!"

She cried out as she squirmed, the referee's hand hitting the mat for a second time, and raising up for a third, only for Echo, getting one arm free from his pin, shoots it upwards and gets her shoulder off of the math, breaking the pin hold before the three!

"Now get off!" She shouted, using that same free hand to try and slap Derek in the face!

Going for the pinfall victory early on, Derek sought to use his weight advantage against his opponent to pin her down to the muddy terrain and have his body grind on top of Echo's. He firmly grasped her wrists and pinned them over her head to keep her body, especially her shoulders, flat against the floor.

The referee got down and counted and got to the count of two before Echo would bridge upwards and then jerk to the side to get her shoulder up off the mat. She would follow up her effort by swinging her arm up towards his face, smacking him in the face with a hard slap.

"Owwww" he moaned with mud flying around as he rolled off her and fell to his side next to her.

Echo frowned as she managed to slap Derek off of her, her entire back and back of her legs now covered in mud after his pin attempt.

"It's gonna take a lot more than the before I let you pin me!" the greek teenager exclaimed, not realizing the comical aspect of her statement as she sat up and rolled away from Derek, getting more mud on her as she got up to her bare feet, getting more adjusted to moving in the mud as she looked at Derek.

"Cmon, get up, lets try that again, I'll show you I can outwrestle you!"

Echo proclaimed, waiting for Derek to get up so they could lock up again!
