Awkward Meeting (for Raiye-san)

"A band sounds good!" Haruka agreed with Lute. She could already see the said band. She could be the lead singer, Lute the guitarist... "I think we'd need someone who can play the drums..."


"Please have a seat," Masato invited Zera as he gestured to an empty chair. "Sindel-san and I are discussing-"

He glanced at Haruka. His ward was all caught up in Lute's suggestion. It was safe to speak.

"-Ort," he said. "She claims to be Cerbera's sister. Is that true? I ask because you're Cerbera's sister. You would know if Ort is your sister, too."

Sindel would nod at Masato before she's walk back to the other two and take a seat besides, planting her elbows on the table and her chin between her palms.

" Hmm? A band? "

Zera widened her eyes only slightly, taking a seat on the chair and then shook her head a little.

" The name sounds familiar... But... I don't know who that is. "

"Hai!" Haruka confirmed for Sindel. "Lute-san and I are thinking of making a band! How about you, Sindel-san? What musical instrument do you play? Maybe we can get you for our band!"

Masato wondered why Sindel switched places with Zera. Maybe they're watching Lute-san? He berated himself for getting taken in so easily by Lute. I endangered Haruka with my thoughtlessness...

" The name sounds familiar... But... I don't know who that is. "

He focused on Zera anew. "She says her name is Oriana Rosa Therasia," Masato explained. "Ort for short." He frowned. "Are you sure you don't know who she is?" Perhaps a different vector of attack would work: "Do you have a sister aside from Cerbera-san?"

" Eh.. Instrument.. "

She started to look away with a dark blush and mumbled out lowly to the two.

" V...Violin. "

Zera placed her hands on her legs and released a gentle sigh, the name Ort was familiar, almost too familiar but she just couldn't place her finger on it..

" I'm... Not sure.. I don't know alot about my past. "

Haruka stared at Sindel. "S-Sindel-san... you knew how to play the violin? That's... that's... that's so cool!" she gushed. "Are you very good with a violin?"


Masato watched Zera sigh. I don't think she's lying, he thought. But another dead end?

"Zera-san," he asked politely, "Do you have amnesia?" Come to think of it, Cerbera also seemed to be having amnesia at times... maybe it is an effect of the magic...

" Yeah.. Back home. Parents forced me to take it so I'd be good at something. I got skilled with it quite swiftly but I was embarassed of what my friends would say to it. "

Sindel would smile at Haruka for a moment before she thought back at those memories.. Not much about them since she occasionally still plays it whenever it rained.

Zera would look up at Masato while thinking to herself, as if looking through him for those few seconds she thought.

" That would be a logical explanation as to why I can't remember alot before I met Sindel. "

Haruka blushed when Sindel smiled at her. Sindel-san seems so happy when she talks and thinks about that violin... she really is different from when we first met...

She glanced at Lute, wondering just what the girl was thinking of...


Masato sighed. "It's all right," he admitted to Zera. "I guess we can go ask Ort if we're really pressed. We haven't seen her since that first time, but..." He frowned. "Zera-san? I'm trying to think of something... can I ask for your help in it?"

Lute had a serious look on her face, as if she was thinking really hard about something important, but a childish mumble came out of her.

" ..Now if I could let Pikachu evolve into Raichu.. I could win.. That stupid Squirtle has been beating me every time.. "

Sindel blinked at first, trying not to laugh because she was watching Lute closely, twitching one eye closed, trying real hard not to.. But soon she failed. Sindel bursted out of laughter and loud too, bringing her hand quickly to her mouth while Lute was snapped out of her serious behavior and jumped back in surprise, only to fall off her chair she was sitting on and onto her rear.

" Wh-Wha-- Ouw! "

Zera watched them for a moment, wondering what just happened before she would take her attention back to Masato and nodded.

" Sure, what is it? "

Haruka's jaw almost hit the table. That was how hard she'd gaped at Lute's incredibly erratic yet cute- no, not just cute, moe!- thought process.

P-P-Pokemon? Why Pokemon?

Sindel's sudden gust of laughter startled her almost as greatly as she'd been stunned by Lute. When Lute toppled off her seat, Haruka fairly panicked. "Ah! Lute-san!" She hurried towards the fallen girl. "Are you all right-kyaaah!"

Masato began. "I want to find out if Ort is your sister. Ort is apparently attracted-" and he blushed "-to Haruka. So I thought-"

"Kyaaah!"

He jumped out of his seat. "Haruka!" Masato saw his ward disappear behind the table...


When Lute looked up, she'd find Haruka falling towards her, the latter having slipped on a wet spot on the floor, her arms flailing for purchase on something, anything!

Lute looked up when she noticed something coming towards her and it was Haruka who was about to fall onto her, quickly bringing her hands up to catch Haruka but it only forced her onto her own back with Haruka atleast gently falling ontop of her, though Lute started to blush immidiatly.

" Oh dear.. Are you okay, Haruka? "

Zera almost fell out of her own seat due to Masato's jumping and yelling, barely holding onto her seat and counter as she looked over at the three, Sindel looking over to table at the two laying on eachother.

" Aww.. Lute you get all the fun! "

" I think she slipped though.. "
