Brave Yuko vs. Sonic Knight - Heroes of Light and Dark

Surging strength! Better odds! Renewed confidence! Attack buffs were never to be underestimated. Brave Yuko certainly intended to put that seed to good use. It took no small amount of gold to procure.

Nevertheless, she didn’t allow herself to be distracted from her opponent. Sonic Knight was a worthy adversary, one that wasn’t meant to be underestimated. The fact that Yuko even had to resort to a one-time use item showed just how far she was being pushed. And it seemed as though her enemy had little desire to make things any easier. An overwhelmingly grim aura emanated from the dark heroine’s very being. Her muscles flared as she clenched her fists, the contours in her arms and shoulders revealing themselves as her body surged with overwhelming energy before, in a flash, she shot it all outward. She arms raised to the sky, a truer form came to bear.

“Tch…counter-buff...” The next phase. She had a feeling that there was more to this dark knight than met the eye. All of that unfathomable strength had to come from somewhere, and now it seemed to have doubled. But the hero remained undeterred. She completed every quest she accepted, experience or no. “You shall be the one trembling fiend...when the Holy Sword strikes you down!”

All at once, Yuko would charge forward towards the dark heroine. Only, as she neared the woman, she would duck low and attempt to slip through her villainous clutches. If she were able to get past undisturbed, she’d keep running before leaping up and off the middle rope, leaping straight back at the monster with a moonsault.

Now that she had done the first phase of transformation, the battle would be more difficult for Brave Yuko. Grinning at the plucky heroine before her, Sonic Knight looked at her direction, studying her every movement to predict what she would do next, and when she saw Yuko made her move, she prepared herself.

But, as Yuko drew closer, she realized that she would duck under her arms, and the heroine ran past her, rushing over to the ropes. Quickly turning around, she saw her adversary using the ropes to empower herself, leaping off of the middle rope to perform a breathtaking moonsault.

But, thanks to her transformation earlier, Sonic Knight had foreseen this, or at least had predicted this as one of the outcomes, and seeing the heroine soaring in midair, the dark-clad heroine of darkness opened her arms wide as she would try to catch the incoming Yuko into her arms, thus foiling her plan to deliver her attack on her!

There were many things that frequent viewers could accuse Brave Yuko of being. Headstrong, reckless, foolhardy, daring. But ‘stupid’ or ‘cowardly’ were accusations she wouldn’t allow to stand. While she knew that charging her powered-up adversary full-on was a fool’s errand, the Legendary Hero had no intention of simply bouncing around the sidelines, having her HP picked off bit by bit.

Her plan was to stay swift and stay alert. Sonic Knight surely had the advantage of strength, but her transformation would mean little so long as the bravest hero stayed light on her feet, keeping free of her ravenous clutches. The first step went off without a hitch, ducking beneath the monster’s arms and bouncing quickly off the middle rope, aiming to strike her down with a fierce slash of a sword.

Only at the moment of truth, the world stopped in the blink of an eye. In an instant, Yuko found herself upside down, caught tightly in the grips of the dark knight. Embarrassing, to be sure, but the danger overtook those feelings soon enough. The trapped heroine immediately went to kick and buck, attempting to break herself free from her adversary’s clutches. “Tch. Unhand me, brigand!”

And the heroine jumped straight right into the maw of the beast. The devious smirk on Sonic Knight's face couldn't get any wider as she held Yuko's body upside down after catching her in her mid-flight. Keeping her arms wrapped around the heroine's body, she just chuckled as her adversary tried to free herself by kicking and bucking, which did annoy the dark heroine a little, but Sonic Knight would make sure that Yuko couldn't escape.

"And now... the reckoning," Sonic Knight declared before she proceeded with her next move, as she would drop herself down onto her knees, driving Yuko head first into the mat with a piledriver. Despite the fact that the dark heroine didn't go for a more deadly variation of the move, in which she would go for a sitout position, the brunt of the attack would surely leave quite a mark on the trapped heroine, and after performing the piledriver, Sonic Knight would release Yuko's body so that she could see her flop uselessly onto the mat.

Danger! Severe danger!

Yuko attempted to kick and fight her way free the best she could in this awkward position, but there was only so much strength she could muster. Her body was on the slimmer side, built for soaring through the air, not tangling with mini-powerhouses. But nevertheless, there were some situations a heroine had to face, no matter how desperate.

But her Luck wasn’t quite high enough today.

She looked up past her chest at Sonic Knight’s words, grimacing as the reality of the situation came down on her like thousands weights. The actual impact was far more devastating. Her head collided with the ground with a violent crash, eliciting an excited roar from the crowd at the dark knight’s sheer brutality. Her body instantly went limp as if affected by Paralysis before she flopped backward to the mat, arms splayed at her side and watching the stage lights through a pair of hazy eyes.

And that was it, a devastating attack that not only left a tremendous damage on the heroine, but also left her stunned. Sonic Knight cackled darkly as she would rise back up on her feet, sneering at the downed heroine whom she brought down earlier. Being a proper dark heroine, it's only fair for her to gloat and show how utterly hopeless Yuko at the moment.

"Now you see how outclassed you are compared to me, Brave Yuko..." Sonic Knight intoned, looking down on her opponent. But rather than going for a cover attempt, she decided that she wasn't done yet. As she stood over her opponent, she would them stomp right onto Yuko's body, showing how ruthless the dark heroine was.

Seeing the villainous action of the dark heroine, the crowd jeered and booed her, but Sonic Knight just cackled as she basked in the hatred of the crowd. She would continue stomping on Yuko's downed body just to for the hell of it.

For but a couple moments, Brave Yuko was unresponsive to the world around her. The Stun from the dark knight’s attack hadn’t worn off, and she fully expected the menace to use that advantage to make an easy cover on the people’s disabled hero. A cover that never came...

Instead, as she peered out through narrow slits, she was greeted only with the demeaning words of her adversary. She clenched her teeth and tried to block them out. They were but words. The words of cowards, spoken only to those that couldn’t fight back. No matter. She had a charm equipped to deal with them.

What her charm couldn’t protect against, however, was the stomp that buried into her stomach. The hero jackknifed and instantly rolled to her side, clutching her gut in agony.

Yuko could do little beyond simply clenching her fists against the canvas and try to work her way up to two feet. But even that the ruthless Sonic Knight would not allow, keeping the proud heroine dashed beneath her heel over and over again. Yuko cried out from the strikes, collapsing to the floor once again under the merciless assault.

Remaining this way meant nothing but doom for her. With whatever scraps of stamina she could form together, Yuko barreled off to the side, attempting to roll away towards the ropes and use them to slowly but surely rise up once again.

Sonic Knight kept landing her stomps into the downed heroine's body before she looked at her rolling towards the ropes. Still having her dark smirk on her face, she stood arrogantly, placing her hands on her hips as she sneered at Brave Yuko. "How pathetic. I expected more from you, Brave Yuko. Perhaps there is actually no need for me to use my other forms, after all..."

Seeing that Yuko was trying to get back up on her feet, Sonic Knight would walk towards her, taking her time with her steps as she would approach her. But as she got closer, she would suddenly break into sprint as she would extend her arm out, looking to smash said arm right into Yuko's chest, looking to send her out of bound, bringing her over the top rope and outside the ring.

"Face oblivion!" Sonic Knight shouted as she would try to send Yuko out.

Head spinning. Legs wobbling. HP falling. The heroine had certainly seen better quests.

The dark knight’s fearsome transformation was even more troublesome than she’d expected it to be. Her strength and speed had raised remarkably in the blink of an eye. Sonic Knight’s confidence was well-founded. Brave Yuko couldn’t hope to match it with the limited amount of items she still had. Nevertheless, there was always a path forward. She merely had to see through

All the same, the roars of the audience were enough to keep her stamina gauge rising. The battle was far from over, the day yet done. She couldn’t help, however, but detect the distress latent in their voices. She looked back towards Sonic Knight only to unknowingly have played into the villain's hand, exposing her chest to a vicious forearm strike.

“GAAAAHHH!” She let out a cry as her body tumbled down to the apron below, landing with a most undignifying splay to the floor. The hero was a veteran of the ring. She’d taken hard knocks before and, even now, moved to raise up to both feet, but found the task harder than she’d anticipated. She was left on all fours, her head lulling to the floor and her shaggy bangs draping her face partially in darkness as she let out a couple rough coughs, doing her best to get some amount of air in her lungs.

For Sonic Knight, it was nice to see a hero's fall, as it also reminded her of her own. After sending Brave Yuko outside the ring, seeing her undignified fall on the barely padded floor, the dark heroine made her way towards the closest turnbuckle, climbing it up before making a dramatic and theatrical pose, pointing at the downed Yuko outside the ring.

"Don't you see, Brave Yuko? You cannot stand a chance against me, the emissary of darkness!" Sonic Knight declared in a rather hamtastic manner, smirking evilly at the downed heroine outside the ring. "Now... if you wish to be spared, then you shall pledge yourself to my cause, and descend to the abyss of darkness alongside me, and enjoy unlimited power..." Chuckling, she spread out her arms.

"Come... and embrace the darkness, Brave Yuko..." Sonic Knight declared. "I once was the same like you, and I embraced darkness. With darkness, nothing will be outside your grasp..." She clenched her fists theatrically. "What do you say? Will you accept my offer? Or will you be devoured by darkness instead?"
