Showcase ain't bad,just expect a bunch of bitching from the people who work hard on a story but aren't showcased for whatever reason, and bitching about the same people getting showcased because they have bigger named characters and do stories. Anytime you do a "best of" idea, you'll be excluding and thus, offending people.

Why do any of you (cept Lobo) have a say on tats characters?

As for complaints about the same people on ppvs. You'll notice most of those people are ones that spend most of their time doing big stories, and have characters that have the experience and accomplishments to be in big match slots. The rest of the spots are given to those with story ideas for matches and new people/people that ask at the last moment. Nobody is being "held back" from doing ppvs.

And I'm guessing, from the playful shot taken at Alex, that rping with friends and people you like and work well with is no frowned upon as a bad thing? You all realize that the people most often accused of working in cliques actually branch out all the time, right?


Maybe some of you don't, or maybe some of you are mad that you don't get to work with certain people. That can suck, but oh well. Sometimes people just aren't interested. Happens to everyone, don't take it so personally.

Speaking personally, I branch out plenty, met some best friends doing so, but I am not obligated to do matches with people if I find nothing to interest me in their work or characters, and vice versa, and I don't care for the implication that I, or others with that mindset, are automatically wrong for it.

But I'm Tai, so naturally this is just another pointless rant with no merit behind it anyway. Feel free to roll your eyes and move on.

My worry is that members starting big stories with newer wrestlers are hard to get matches and ppvs booked. Its a bit frustrating when you plan something out carefully but cant get past step one. How can we give new members a boost to bring even more names into the limelight?

Like, if you want to be showcased, write better. Make more engaging story lines, compose your posts so they make sense and are more than three lines. I bear no illusion that this will be a meritocracy, but I think that we are fair enough in how we judge things that this won't be completely unreasonable. We can make it so that if you win one month, you can't win the next, and exclude certain match types (lest it devolve into hentai every month sort of thing) should the votes always be one way or the other.

I don't think that PPVs are a big concern. Some matches might seem apropos of very little, but that is going to be a constant problem. People leave out of nowhere, and life problems delay the starts of threads to the point where one must rush at the end/abandon altogether. There are very few stories that I can think of that expand over multiple threads. We can be Inuyasha: the Forum, in that it is completely episodic. I don't think there is anything too wrong with that.

Hate to say it, but that's part of the game. I've had more stories killed in the crib than I care to count. It happens.

Again I was taking a joke at the while clique thing.

Anyway we do already have those gimmick matches for people who offer to be on ppvs but arent part of a storyline or title match for one of them so I assume that trend will continue.

Joking or the clique thing? Either way it feels weird to take that as your opportunity to just add onto it.

But wouldnt that limit the growth of new characters? That would discourage some newer rp makers.

Not giving new people a stepping stone to try and get a storyline going. For instance tai, the match you and i hav egoing on? I have been looking for that for months, but everyone was not interested. Whether it wa smy male jobber or my writing, it was nigh impossible to get a proper springboard into a big storyline for my character.

Shouldnt we give new rp makers a chance to get past that first hurdle?
