Don't Freak Out (Everyone, please read)

Hey. Stop what you're doing. Take a deep breath.

A lot of you are freaking out right now. A lot of you are saying things like "AFW IS FUCKED" and "THE END OF THE SITE".

Stop that. AFW is going to be fine.

It's an undeniable truth that Tat was the backbone of the site. He carried a bigger burden on his shoulders than anyone else on the site. I know. We all know that.

He's gone now, yes. That doesn't mean this is the end. AFW has been around a really long time. I can think of few (if any, honestly) roleplaying communities that have been around as long as we have. We've had our troubles, and our dramas, but this is not the end of AFW, not unless we decide it's the end of the site.

We have good people here. We have a lot of trustworthy, smart, responsible people here. Tat might be gone, but his absence will not kill us. He may have carried a lot of weight, but he was one person, and the absence of one person can't kill the site. We're a community, a damn strong community that's been through a lot of shit before. We'll make it through this. We'll pick up his weight and we'll keep going.

So stop freaking out, alright? Calm down, and relax. This isn't the end of the AFW, not by a long shot.

I came home to a dozen messages from people going "AFW IS DEAD WAAAAH" and there's a thousand more in the Chat archives.

People need to calm down, take a deep breath, and think about things.

We're going to be alright. Everyone just needs to chill.

I'm not freaking out, I'm just sad since we lost such a great member and I'm nervous over who'll become mods for AFW to take on certain duties. At least I have work to distract me from this till now get off in 5 hours. But thanks for trying to be a mood maker during this situation, Alex. ^^

Kel is a smart cookie. He knows what goes on around here, and he knows who will be trustworthy in the role and who won't be.

Don't be nervous. Have a lil' faith and trust in our glorious leader.

For real though, Tat was the backbone and he was great, and we will all miss him now that he is gone.


But there was an AFW for 4 years before Tat joined up, and there will still be an AFW now that Tat is gone.

Honestly, I nominate Alex as a new mod.

He's one of the most level headed ones in this situation. I'd be lying if I didn't immediately think that the site would fall into oblivion. But, we have a lot of dedicated people here. We can make it work.

Power to you, Alex, for being level headed. A lot of us were taken by surprise. I know I was.
