A Walk in the Woods

Though the wink made her shiver a bit, Neske was ready to accept this guy was just an oddball with no harsh intentions and went along with him. "Yah, uh, I'm Neske. Neske Aalpo... I'm, uh, dutch." Of course, now she was being the oddball, as making new friends or otherwise interacting with new people was not something she was too used to dealing with. "How about you? What's... er, what's your name?"

He finally saw her accepting him even though she was the one that came across as odd. Cody was fine with making friends "Well I am Cody and am here in Japan for some wrestling to test my skills. How come you are here?" As he trying to make polite conversation.

Neske scratched the back of her head nervously, not totally sure how to answer that question. "Ah, you know, I'm just... doing my thing, right? Making some money, doing whatever.... wrestling...." as she spoke, it struck her how out of place that last one was, especially given how this whole encounter had gone for her. "I don't really know, man, I just felt like it."

"And what would be your thing then?" He asked with a smile "Let's try this again....may I join you in whatever you are doing here?" He grinned hoping to make his first friend here in Japan. "So what we're you doing before we had a bit of a scrap?" He curiously asked.

"Well... I was trying to..." she kicked the dirt with her eyes turned downward, not sure how to respond. She knew exactly what she was doing, she was trying to get some time to herself, but that was about spent now, so maybe some company would be appreciated. "Nothing. I wasn't really doing anything. If you want to hang... I guess I'm okay with it."

"What is the matter?" As Cody walked closer to her to see how she would react. He was going for her chin to lift her head up as he could tell that she was very shy and the coldness towards him might have been to her shyness. Maybe she was just not use to people being friendly or approaching her. "Yeah I would like to hang out wih you" Cody smiled "So show me where you hang out then?"

Well, this guy was just full of questions, wasn't he? She didn't want to be rude (especially given how Cody seems to take that sort of thing), but this whole situation was getting highly uncomfortable, and she needed an out. What kind of exit she could possibly make, however, was beyond her.

"Well, actually I should be getting home," she half-mumbled as she pulled out her phone, pretending to check the time. "I'll, er, catch up with you later, okay? Just give me a call or something." As she started to back away, Neske made a conscious effort to move slower than a jog, as to not look like she was trying to avoid him, but at the same time trying to move quickly enough to get out of this awkward situation as soon as possible.

"Oh okay then and I guess I will see you around perhaps maybe have a match some time soon" He smiled at her " I will give you call for a match" As he offered his hand for a handshake.

Cody could tell she wanted to head off so he walked off after the handshake.
