SD 15 Main Event: Title Match - Reira Kirishima(C) Vs. Domino!

Domino would be more thrilled if he weren't so darned winded. He might even look a little comical, clinging onto the ropes as he is, hugging them against his chest with wide, unblinking eyes. It has the sort of appearance of a cat stuck high on a tree trunk.

But soon, Domino finds his feet on the ring apron and slips back between the ropes to back up a little. Reira took the fall pretty hard. She seems to be taking her time getting up, too. This could be an excellent opportunity - and though what he has in mind is going to hurt him, it'll hopefully hurt her a lot worse.

Panting raggedly, Domino casts a long look out at the audience. His right arm raises, fingers bundling into a fist to signal something big. The teen pools his energy and races back to the ropes behind him and rebounds, rushing headlong to the other end. At the last moment, he leaps into the air and spreads his body flat to clear the ropes. He dives directly for Reira in a plancha, not caring whether she's worked her way up to her feet or is still lying on her front so long as he crashes his toned body against hers.

Domino had escaped the painful clutches of Reira’s hold, and managed to send the champ flying to the outside of the ring. The crowd was on their feet and cheering, and Julia was doing the same down in the front row. And knowing Domino’s style, not to mention being a high flyer herself, she knew exactly what was coming next and watched as he launched himself over the top rope and came crashing down right on top or Reira!

“Nice one, Drake!” she shouted, though by this point the crowd was so loud she wasn’t quite sure her voice would reach him. Though that wouldn’t stop her, of course.

Predictably, the impact is harsh. Domino's taut body splashes against Reira's back, bears her to the floor, and immediately rolls to the side with a groan. There he lies for a moment, panting hard just feet before the guard barrier, abdomen rising and falling deeply with each breath. The roar of the audience feels different from this position - maybe louder. He can make out what more people are saying from here.

One persistent voice still manages to stand out among the others. His head lifts and turns to spot Julia not far from him, and flashes her a tired smile.

The teen rolls over onto his hands and knees, grabs a fistful of Reira's hair, attempts to drag her up to her feet, and ultimately, unceremoniously, intends to ram her forehead against the ring apron. He hasn't taken matches outside the ring too often in his career, and he knows the referee's still counting, but he knows how punishing these hits can be. He can't waste the opportunity with so much on the line.

Once Reira drops to a knee, Domino takes a step back to refocus and take a fresh breath. While it's looking bad for Reira, it's definitely improving for Domino. Once she's up, she almost looks dead on her feet! Her counter-attack doesn't do much to convince him otherwise, though its wild nature makes it a little difficult to properly avoid - on top of the fact that he's winded and hurting already. He turns, taking the brunt of the impact square against his left bicep and shoulder.

"Nnf.."

The teen staggers a step, but refuses to back down and give her space. He lunges towards her, attempting to grab her by the shoulders to ram her back against the ring's edge again. His body will be moving in close enough to press his hips to hers to keep her anchored in place while he tries to arch her back painfully over the corner. He doesn't have but a few seconds to make the most of his situation, but he's determined to take what he can!

Domino plies more pressure, hoping to render her back as weak as possible in the little timeframe he has to work with. For some women, the position Reira's found herself in might be a nice one - if certainly painful, with his toned body leaned heavily against hers, his hips pressed hard into hers, working her towards a backwards right angle.

But it's not to last. Reira jams a thumb into one of his dark purple eyes, sending a shock of uncommon soreness through his head and causing him to sharply yelp. Getting stuck in the eye is a weird, jarring, and even frightening thing, on top of the pain that goes with it. He recoils sharply and releases her, taking a number of steps away while protectively clapping a hand over his eye. "OW!" It's stated more than cried, with a mixture of indignance, surprise, and outrage. "Jerk!"

Oh, the referee saw it. She's not pleased with it. But they're outside of the ring, so, you know, whatever. The counting continues.

Domino has run out of time to work her over. With a hand still covering his eye, he springs forward and tosses a boot high, aimed to slam against her head. Hopefully that'll be enough to daze her, giving him a chance to roll her under the ropes and climb back into the ring after her.

Domino rolls under the rope to join Reira in the ring, and he sits up to the near-deafening roar of the audience. This is it. This is where it ends. This is where everything pays off. This is why he didn't tap to that excruciating camel clutch. This is why he struggled free of those pins.

The dark-haired model draws himself up to his feet, and he closes in on the retreating Reira. By this point, she's likely made it to a knee - and that's fine, for what he has in mind. His hands grab for her shoulders, and he attempts to lift her enough to ram a knee into her stomach to keep her winded and cooperative.

He can feel it. In this moment, the abuse, the condescension, the pain he's endured is about to be vindicated. In front of this audience, in front of Kyoto, Japan, maybe even the world, he's going to show he's worthy of the accolades of champion. His goal is in his hand. It's been a long road, topped off with a grueling match, but this is his moment. This is his time.

Following the hit of his knee to her midsection, Reira may find herself pulled a few steps away from the ropes and hoisted into the air, gripped upside-down in tombstone piledriver position. The audience may recognize the setup to the Total Eclipse.
