Mikoto Kusanagi vs. Divastator (FWC)

“Well....*sniff*….whenever youâ€re ready....” Miko leaned back away from the hug with a cheerful expression, blinking away any errant tears.“... I would gladly hear every word you have to say. You would be doing me a great honor by allowing me to get to know you better, Lisa. Itâ€s the absolute least I can do, after what you just did for me.”

Working her neck under Lisaâ€s right arm Mikoto assisted Lisa back to her feet, worried that she may have trouble walking and standing from the aftereffects of the shin-breaker. As the priestess and rock star continued to demonstrate their acts of mutual respect a slow starting round of applause could be heard from the crowd in appreciation for this scene as well as for the great match, some ticket holders even on their feet.

Waving back shyly to the approving audience, Miko wrapped her other arm around Lisas waist, keeping her balanced as she helped her through the ropes and up the ramp. “I…I,uh…just wish you wouldâ€ve eased up on the yelling a bit….heh….” Miko commented with an awkward smile, still hearing a low pitched ringing noise in her ears.

Diva would nod as she said, "Alright, let's go then. Thank you." She was very grateful as Mikoto would help her up since the shinbreaker did a good number on her. She was hobbling a bit as she was trying to walk on both her good and bad legs, but she managed to wave to the crowd as they were applauding her and Miko on their performance and their respect for each other. It was a really fine moment for the two before Miko mentions about her yelling earlier. Diva blushed as she said, "Yeah, sorry about that. But that's part of my special move and it was part of...who I was before."

They continued walking to the lockers as Diva gained enough strength to talk. "Well, it all began...a long...time ago. Back when I was a singer. Lisa Sands...one of the youngest rising stars in the music world known for her skill in singing pop and rock music. On stage, she is Leslie Savage, a girl with a smooth yet hard rocking voice that can liven the party. With a loyal fan base and numerous single hits, what more can she ask for? But being famous like that can cover up so much of yourself to hide a secret. The thing is...I have an anger management problem. It's normal for people to be angry, that I know, but for me, it's WAAY different. Once I get mad, I blow my top off and I resort to loud trash talking, throwing any objects I can find, and even random acts of violence. And as soon as I calm down, it was too late to realize how much damage I caused. That was hidden from my fans for so long until one after-concert party led to a playful dumping of soda on my head and everyone was laughing in the fun of it. I tried to control myself...but I just couldn't. And well...the rest is history..."

The priestess listened intently to Lisaâ€s tale while the unlikely duo worked through the backstage locker room until finally settling her pop star friend down on a nearby bench with Mikoto right beside her. A wrestler or two would walk by but for the most part they were alone. Miko took notice of how Lisa referred to herself in the third person at certain times, like her on-stage persona was a completely different person…the person she was before. Though once she mentioned her anger issues, a few pieces started to fall into place, explaining Lisaâ€s ferocious attitude in the ring at times.

Divaâ€s tale was certainly tragic, and Mikoto really felt for her. An issue she was ashamed of, trying to bury it with glitz and glamour, resurfacing at the most inopportune time and taking away all she worked so hard far. The priestess had never known anyone with such a destructive issue. The words were lost on her, how best to comfort her...

“Oh Lisa…well, I think…..I think you should feel proud of yourself. Most women may have let something like that, um…defeat them, and given up. But you pulled yourself back, and youâ€re working hard at it. The people out there….from what I just saw, they still love you, still want to hear you sing….and from what I heard from your entrance you still have what it takes to steal the show….but, you need to know…uhm...bottling up that anger, denying it for so long…itâ€s a part of you need to confront and address. Or you may never move on…I think…”

Having to explain her full story of how her previous life was before coming here made Lisa's eyes fill up in shame. She would turn away from Mikoto for a moment to rub her tears away with her arm. She would hear Mikoto say that she is doing well to fight hard against her own anger and there are still those who want to hear her sing again. Thing is that she has to confront that anger head on if she really wants to become a better person.

Sniffing, Lisa would say, "Do you really think I can do it? I mean, I don't want to do it alone and I don't wanna let any of my loyal fans down."

Seeing Lisa turn her head to hide her tears indicated to Mikoto just how difficult the entire ordeal must have been for her. Hearing her normally confident friend second guess herself was certainly jarring, though Mikoto considered that this must have been how Lisa felt when she saw the priestess nearly give up on herself during the match. She hoped she was saying the right things, lifting her arm around her and resting her hand on her shoulder.

“After how you helped me out back there, what kind of friend would I be if I let you go through this alone? Someone as tough as you, I already know you can conquer this thing. And I need you to believe that just as much as me…” Mikoto cheerily smiled along with the comforting words.

Lisa would feel Mikoto's arm wrap around her and her hand resting on her shoulder as she looked to her. When Mikoto recalled back on how Lisa helped her out back there, she said that she'll help in the same way for she shouldn't go through it alone. Slowly, Lisa would smile and then hug her newfound friend like a sister as she lets her tears fall and say, "You know...you're absolutely right. How can I forget that you also felt similar when you felt like giving up? Why should I when I myself had encouraged you not to?"

Wiping a few more tears away, Lisa would add, "I'm glad that I can now call you a friend."

Mikoto gasped slightly as Lisa finally broke down and wrapped her arms around her in a heartfelt embrace. The priestess hugged Lisa just as tightly, feeling her close friends moistened eyes and tears on her neck. She hoped her words would reach Lisa just as the idol had done for her, immensely relieved that they may have done just that. “Heh…I think weâ€ve been friends for a while now, Lisa...” The priestess clenched her hands and comforted Lisa in that hug for several moments longer.

“...*sniff*...well, thank you for telling me your story Lisa. This night, it certainly didnâ€t end the way I thought it would…heh…” Mikoto leaned back and wiped her own tears from her face. “Do you need any more help walking? Sh-should we stop by the infirmary to have your leg looked at?"

Lisa would smile as Mikoto returned the hug and the two are now great friends. She would clench Mikoto's hands as she felt informed that someone now understands her. She chuckled a little as she said,"Yeah, I guess we have." She would then hear the priestess thank her for the story and say that match certainly didn't go as she expected. Shrugging her shoulders, Lisa would say, "I guess sometimes we don't expect the unexpected."

Then Lisa would look at her leg and say, "Normally, I wouldn't since I'm a tough girl, but just in case, yeah, sure, thanks." She would reach out a hand to ask for help from Mikoto to help her walk to the infirmary.

“Heh…Well, come on ‘tough girl’. Let’s have that leg looked at then, you’re gonna need to take of yourself if you want to get back on stage again.”, Miko said with a warm smile. Their hands extended in friendship, Mikoto hoisted Lisa to her hobbled feet and placed her arm around Miko’s shoulder. With her arm wrapped around Lisa’s waist, the priestess would start escorting her rock star friend to the infirmary not too far away. They could have kept going there from the ring, but the locker room was on the way and Lisa had a lot to get off her chest.

“I, uh….guess I’ll need to figure out how to put songs on my iPod again if I’m gonna be listening to all of your songs now, right?”

As Lisa was being helped up to her feet by her newest friend, she would smile and chuckle a little as Mikoto called her "tough girl". It seems like her tough talk is a bit weak since she is still a bit in pain. Mikoto was extremely careful as she helped the former diva all the way over to the infirmary. It was quite a distance, but they surely are gonna make it. When hearing about her songs being out on the priestess's IPod, that made Lisa smile as she said, "Yup! I can even give you my best double platinum albums for free."

Lisa then added, "Wanna be my groupie?" and that caused the two to laugh as they continued on their way. It looks like the two will be the best of friends in this league and it definitely will show.
