Kira Vs Carmen - Somewhat of a revenge match????

Carmens plan worked. There was nothing he could do to stop her, she was too fast and before he knew it her powerful right hook hit. The blow had unexpected results however. The hook was so powerful that infact Kira lost his balance, thr blow had enough force to send him off his feet and crashing, side first into the canvas

They seemed to be pretty committed on making this a traditional styled boxing match - Carmen had to respect that. So she fought her impulse to just jump on the guy and start wailing him into a knockout.

Instead, she merely paced around the ring, watching, waiting for him to get up as the ref started her count. Hurry up. Get up. Bring it on.

Kira would take those few valuable seconds to take a brief break, catching his breath back. He would get up and slide back into his southpaw stance, closing the gap between the fighters before throwing his own right hook at her face, only dreaming that it could have the same effect it had on him.

And he was getting up. Some guys just didn't know when to quit, apparently. Some guys had to have the lesson hammered into them.


The blow slammed into her guard - not bad, but not nearly enough to stop her momentum. She took a step forward, ducked low, and shot both of her arms out as she moved, trying to push him back in the corner - where he belonged.

Kira groaned in his head that the hook didn't find its way through her guard. He got pushed back into the corner, except this time it wasn't his corner this time. He wouldn't take this one so easily however. As soon as he hit the turnbuckle he would push off it and would try to throw a series if jabs at her guard, keeping his own guard raised to protect himself.

Kira didn't know how he was going to survive this one, the match was all the way to 3 KOs and he was tiring out before the first one had been scored.

Carmen brought up her guard and waded into the blows, weathering them like raindrops in the storm - he was showing a bit more promise now, but she still wasn't all that impressed and more than a little irritated by his growing refusal to just lay down and take it. Time for a little education.

She pushed in and tried to catch him with a clench, holding the tall boy at close range while she tried to pummel him with a few uppercuts, hammering away at the midsection, planting her feet to solidify the position - no backing up, no retreat, not from this guy.

The second that Kira was caught in the clinch he knew he was in trouble. He grunted as each punch smashed his midsection. Eventually he was able to push out of the clinch however there was a clear red mark on his stomach where her hits had hit, it was pretty clear.it was going to bruise later.

There was no way Kira was going to get beaten again in this round. He would tighten his stance and edge closer towards the female, aiming to get close enough to start throwing a combo if punches at the girls face. He footing was better this time and his punches were designed to be more accurate than powerful, he just needed to score a few hits against her. The crowd however were enjoying the heavy beat down of the male

Since not all that many people even bothered to watch Olympic boxing, the differences weren't all that widely know - but there were differences, big differences. First and foremost, you won with points, most of the time - raising your score by successive hits. So there was more technique involved than in other areas of the sport, which forced Carmen to be methodical in her approach; she couldn't just tank on an opponent and wait for a good shot, and she couldn't just wail away at a guard. It taught a fighter to be smart.

That training was being used, full blast, as KIra came back in, far more precise than he'd been just a few minutes ago - he was getting visibly better as the match went on. She wasn't sure why, and she didn't much care - either way, it was time to put an end to it.

She took a few good shots to her guard and even two that slipped back and gave her some real pain in the ribs, before she bolted forward and sliced into him, going for a harsh uppercut to his stomach.

Even though he managed to get a couple of shots in, what was coming next would nearly be enough to outright score Carmen the first KO. The punch smashed into his stomach, with nearly enough power to lift Kira off the ground. He would double over as the punch hit, spittle forcefully leaving his mouth as he doubled over.

he would stagger back a step before getting upright again... Trying to be brave and carry on... He would raise his guard to protect his stomach, making sure that Carmen could do that again.

Protecting his stomach from further assault - good. Leaving his face exposed? Not good.

Carmen moved in after him, sliding from left to right, making him guess which direction she'd be coming from - she gave him the answer, soon enough, when she sent a right cross straight for his face, ducking low and shooting up fast to throw the punch into his blind spot, stepping on the balls of her feet to get a little extra spring in her step when she moved, putting her weight behind it.
