Ninja vs Amazon : Rebecca vs Asami

Rebecca Tomko walked confidently to the ring as "Hearts on Fire" Played over the PA system. As she stepped into the ring to a typical mixed reaction of "we like you but hate who you're working for" she couldn't help but think back on how much had happened since she'd last seen Asami.

The last time she was introduced as Adrian's first opponent and one of her friends she needs to stop making friends with people who beat her up the ninja had been absent when shit went down fast. The whole incident with Cecilia and Sarah Gatt, just added to problems. But like how the training session with Cecilia was good stress relief, maybe a match with the ninja would help too. Even if the amazon seemed to be fighting her friends more than her enemies.

Asami Asagiri leaped onto the top of the ramp as "Rising" by the Yoshida Brothers began to play. Still in the fans good graces despite her loss to Adrian back at Summer Splash, the agile ninja raised her hand to the cheering crowd before running down to the ring. After hopping onto the apron, she seized the top rope and grasped it, pulling herself into a front flip that carried her into the ring, where she landed on her feet.
As she walked over to Rebecca, she reflected on meeting the Amazon, just after her match with Adrian. The woman had been friendly, if not quiet, and Asami had a fun time with her and Adrian. Although absent for a short time, she had heard passing rumors of her and Adrian's clash with Sarah Gatt's dangerous Gatt Attack. Always a bit of a lone wolf, Asami tended to stay away from faction wars. After all, you tended to avoid injury that way, but still she was concerned for Rebecca and the less durable Adrian. Although she was feeling the familiar thrill of fighting against a bigger opponent, the ninja was also wanting to check on the bigger woman.
"Hey, 'Becca." she said when she got close, offering a hand to shake. "I've heard about...well you Adrian running up against Gatt's good squad. Are you guys ok?"

Rebecca watched as her ninja opponent made her athletic entrance, it was impressive to be sure and it seems Asami was up on the latest happenings too "We're fine for now. Just try not to slip on any trails of blood leading to their locker room." the amazon said in her normal quiet but confident tone, accepting the hand shake as she waited for the bell.

Asami would make an interesting opponent. Her high flying, flashy style was closer to Adrian's than her own, so it was a challenge, she hadn't faced any genuine high-fliers in her time here yet. It would be a learning experience, so when the bell rung she put up her guard and waited for the ninja to make her first move.

Asami nodded in reply to Rebecca's statement. As always she was a bastion of quiet strength. Of course in a few moments, Asami would have that strength brought to bear against her, but the ninja was ok with that. After all, it was what she wanted.

As the bell rang, Rebecca put up her guard, waiting on the kunoichi.
*Of course. She wants me to make the first move, and bring myself in close so she can use her power to pulverize me. I'll have to be ready. The question is, does she strike, or does she grapple* she thought as she began to circle to her left.
Suddenly, Asami would rush in, as if she was going to try and barrel into Rebecca. But as she got close to the giantess, she would suddenly veer to the side, and then try to fire a kick at the side of the blond's leg. Then she'll try to dart backwards, trying to get back out of the Amazon's reach. The ninja knew that a single kick wouldn't bring low the mighty Amazon, but it served to test the waters, giving her some insight to Rebecca's defenses and reaction time.

Rebecca knew Asami was fast, well... she could have always assumed that she was fast, being a ninja and all... but she wasn't quite expecting that amount of speed as the ninja kicked the dark-skinned blonde amazon in the side of the leg. It stung quite a bit, but she could endure it, and the ninja had moved too far out to retaliate, it was best for to remain firm and make it clear that she'd have to hit a lot harder than that.

Seeing Rebecca's stoic reaction to the kick, Asami gave a mental nod to herself. Of course the Amazon could endure the kick, but fact that Rebecca didn't even flinch spoke volumes about how much she could take.
Deciding that she needed to up the ante, Asami ran at Rebecca again, this time ducking low to try evade the Amazon and move past her, trying to get the ropes on the other side of her opponent. If she gets past Rebecca, she'll bounce off those ropes and come hurtling back at the giantess. The ninja will throw herself into a leap, raising her elbow to attempt to slam it into Rebecca's forehead, looking to at least stagger the bigger woman. If successful, Asami will follow that up with a standing dropkick at Rebecca's chest, looking to keep the Amazon pressured.

Rebecca tried to take the ninja's head off as she dashed at her again, but unfortunatley for the amazon, Asami ducked in time, bounced off the ropes and slammed an elbow into her forehead before she really knew what the heck was going on.

"Ugh!" Rebecca grunted, trying to shake off the impact before a standing dropkick staggered her again, forcing the large amazon back.

Springing back to her feet, Asami ran towards Rebecca again.
*If I can get her off her feet this early in the match, maybe I can rattle her, throw her off her game. It'll certainly get the crowd going.* she thought to herself.
With a yell, she would leap at the Amazon, turning her body sideways as she tried to hit the bigger woman with a crossbody tackle.

Asami collided with the amazon, her body smashing into her chest but while the ninja expected there to be a bit more falling down after the cross body, Rebecca remained standing. Holding onto Asami to keep her across her chest and off the ground.

As Asami crashed into Rebecca, she felt a moment's satisfaction. However, instead of falling over, the giantess remained standing, and was holding the ninja up off the ground.
*Not good!* she thought to herself.
The ninja's legs kicked futilely as she struggled within the Amazon's grasp.
"H-hey!" she called, protesting her treatment. Although she could get used to being carried around, she doubted Rebecca had anything in mind that she would find enjoyable.
