Why Are You Here? (For Dizzyknight)

Peggy slumped her shoulders as she made it backstage, shaking her head and steering clear of everyone.  Again she lost and this time it was essentially a one hit wonder before she was pinned by a woman half her size and even younger than the 20 year old.

She turned a corner and found a mic in her face?  "What the hell?"

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are here with Peggy McIntyre!  She just lost a match to Zoey Satoshi despite doubling the weight of her foe."  The woman started off.  Peggy glared at her, already feeling like this wasn't going to be fun in any way.  "Peggy how did she manage to pull that off?  How do you explain this loss?"

Peggy took a deep breath and looked wearily at the camera.  "Well, she caught me unaware in a powerful move, n' she put me in a solid pin keepin' me down before I could kick out."  peggy said with a shrug.

"Right... overpowered by someone who weighs about eighty pounds to your hundred and fifty pounds.  Of course.  Now ya came over here to prove that the lady wrestlers of your family weren't fat jobbers.  Would you say you are doing a good job of that, or are ya shaking your way to an impressive tally in the loss column?"  The lady added with a giggle, sticking the mic in Peggys face again.

Zoey rounded the corner a few moments later, but immediately stopped and threw herself back around the wall to hide once she saw the reporter. She herself wasn't a fan of interviews, and didn't quite find the idea of intruding on someone else's talk all that entertaining either. Hopefully Peggy would still be somewhere nearby by the time it ended, she hoped.

Listening in on the conversation, Zoey was surprised to learn it Peggy was actually on the receiving end of the interview. She had left the arena pretty fast and quite upset, so it seemed logical that she wouldn't want to talk to anyone, especially one of the roaming reporters. Since neither woman had acknowledged her presence, she assumed that neither had seen her either.

She leaned in against the wall and continued to eavesdrop, not expecting any particularly nice comments from the intruding reporter.

Peggy was starting to get fed up, and her hot-headed attitude was starting to show now. "Yeah, I know I'm four wins and seven fuckin' losses. Yeah, I have curves, I am not some skinny mini twig bikini model. Sure I'm not the most firm but if ya saw me when I weighed over 200lbs ya would have known how fuckin' crazy it was to lose sixty pounds just to have a shot at a career in the ring!" Peggy shouted getting in the reporters face.

"Wow, I can smell what ya had for lunch, and the defeat on your breath from that loss. Peggy none of that changes the fact that you started out 2-1 with your sole loss being a close call against Julia Rogers. How do you explain such a fall in the quality of your performance?" The reporter asked.

All Peggy could do was stand there and groan, rolling her eyes wishing that this woman would just leave her alone! Hell, she was maybe a minute away from punching her in the face just to get her to shut up...

Zoey couldn't understand why anyone would insult Peggy over her performance. It was fairly plain to see that she'd have pulled a fairly easy win over the tiny high-flyer if the match had kept going, as much as Zoey didn't want to admit that. Regardless, this was no way to talk to someone who had just lost a match, and Zoey decided to intervene.

She stepped out from behind the corner and quickly moved over to Peggy's side, looking up at the intrusive reporter rather angrily. "Did you come to interview? or just to insult?" the girl demanded, pushing herself between the Irishwoman and the reporter, though it wasn't nearly as intimidating as she thought it looked, considering Zoey was easily the smallest person in the room.

Peggy was silent not knowing how to answer the last question. She didn'the even want to. However that is when her most recent source of embarrassment and shame turned into her saving grace. Zoey snapping at the woman helped shock Peggy back to reality. "Oh fuck off." Peggy told the woman, leaving the stunned interviewer in a fit as she stormed off.

Peggy turned back to Zoey and nodded. "Ya know.. I appreciate that so, thanks."

Zoey's back pressed against Peggy's front as she wiggled her way between the reporter and wrestler. Her dark, black and red two-piece outfit contrasting against Peggy's brightly coloured green and gold one-piece in a rather interesting way, similarly with her tiny, slender body next to Peggy's taller, curvy self. It felt good when the reporter turned and walked away, clearly angry and shocked.

Hearing Peggy thank her, she giggled and looked upwards at her former opponent, standing close enough that Peggy was trapped between her and the wall, but still facing away from the Irishwoman. "As if I'd leave someone as cute as you to deal with that." she replied with a giggle, sliding her hands into the pockets on her oversized and unzipped hoodie.

Peggy couldn't help but laugh as Zoey called her cute. "I mean it, thank you. Never thought I would thank someone who embarrasses me in the ring the way ya did. You have some talent in there, much more than me anyway." Peggy said as she looked away from Zoey.

She sighed a bit and smiles again. "So... why stick up for a flabby loudmouth like me?"

Zoey rolled her eyes at Peggy's overly-modest response, still grinning like an adorable idiot. She spun in place to look up at Peggy, planting her hands on her hips and wiggling from side to side. "Embarrasses you in the ring?" she giggled, wondering if anyone was actually watching the match, or just looking at the scoreboard. "If you hadn't tried to show off in such a bad spot, you would have beat me easy." she admitted with a smirk.

She then began to climb up Peggy's body like a ladder, eventually settling on the woman's shoulders. If she wasn't so incredibly light-weight for a wrestler, it might have been difficult to keep her up there, but it wouldn't be much of an issue for Peggy to do it. "I stick up for you because you should have won, and you looked upset that you didn't."

Peggy chuckled as Zoey climbed up her. "What're ya doin' lass? I ain't a jungle gym. Besides ya won because ya were smart enough to recognize an opening and take advantage. Thats skill n' ya earned what ya got." Peggy said before kneeling down to gently get Zoey back down on her feet. "Josh might get upset if he sees me in a suggestive spot with a lady, but maybe not?"

With a laugh she thought of her big boyfriend, someone whom quickly became her favorite person in Japan if not on the planet. "I guess my little losing streak and slump are just messin' with me lately. I'll snap out of it.... I think."

Her legs hanged down the front of Peggy's chest, the tiny girl sitting on the back of the Irish lady's shoulders quite comfortably. "I guess I hit you harder than I thought, silly" she teased, kicking her slender legs at the air softly, "I only had an opening because you gave me one." Having spent most of her life in Japan, and the rest in France, Zoey had never actually met an Irish person before, and found Peggy's accent almost funny to listen to.

"You're just unlucky, miss. You'll make a comeback soon I think." she said in her high-pitched and gentle voice, trying to cheer Peggy up. "You can fight me again whenever you'd like, I think you'll squash me next time."
