Break on Through

Strength had never been Julia’s greatest asset. In more than a few cases, that had a noticeable impact on lockups like these. But in this case, it seemed the two women were relatively equal in terms of raw strength. Julia pushed against Ace, and tried to see if she could at least back the girl up a step or two. But from there, she’d try to quickly grab onto Ace’s wrist, then step under the limb while spinning out to the side to put her in an arm wringer.

Julia was quick, able to get Ace's arm twisted quickly. Ace was quick herself however, grabbing Julia's arm and breaking her grip, quickly spinning out to lock Julia in an arm wringer of her own. Rather than hold the simple and easily escaped hold though, she let go, giving Julia a very light shove with one hand on her back.

"Tag!"

She said, hopping from one foot to the other, lightly teasing the Entropy Champ.

Julia had hardly even finished getting her grip on Ace’s twisted arm when the girl had already moved to counter, twisting through to wring out the cowgirl’s arm in the same way she’d just tried to do a moment ago. Surprising as it was that Ace had reversed the hold just as soon as it had been applied, Julia knew she could escape it with just as much ease. But before she could even try, Ace beat her to the punch once again!

A light, playful shove. That’s all it was, but Julia still found herself being mildly annoyed by it. Maybe it was the knowledge that her Avalanche opponent was watching, and probably snickering at what she was seeing. Well, whatever. She brushed the thought off and grinned again while turning to face Ace again.

“Quick little thing, aren’t ya?” she said. The cowgirl put her arms up and once again moved in on Ace. Once she was near, this time she tried to catch her in side headlock so she could roll the girl over her hip and take her down to the mat.

"One of the quickest around!"

Ace replied, locking back up with Julia, and getting taken down to the mat with a side headlock for her trouble.

She struggled, kicking her legs, trying to use the classic counterhold to this move, catching her legs around Julia's head and pulling her down in a headscissors.

The headlock takedown had gone well enough, and brought Ace down to the mat on her back. And what came next was no surprise as Ace’s legs latched themselves onto Julia’s head and pulled her into the headscissor.

Almost immediately, Julia brought her legs in and kicked them out. If all went well, she’d break out of the hold and spring right onto her feet all in the same motion.

It barely took a second for Julia to break out of her counter, Ace rolling back over and pushing herself up, joining Julia on her feet, arms up again, until a vibration in her pocket indicated her a text on her cell phone. Checking it real quick, she shook her head and put her phone away.

"Hey, sorry about this, but I'm gonna have to go. Friend of mine is having a minor emergency it seems. Thanks for the warmup though!"

She said, quickly leaving the ring and, with a brief wave, getting out of that house, already calling a cab to meet her and pick her up.
