Lia Harrison vs Esther Savato-Howell

Esther shrugged as though Lia had just said something stupid and was about to tell her 'Well, duh!' before Lia had escaped from her hold, just throwing her off enough to send her falling back in an undignified pratfall. Huffing in indignation, Esther caught herself and tried to rise, only to see the albino was finally showing initiative. "Uh oh." She did not have enough room to gather much speed but she had enough to put some serious power behind her knee. She was slow to launch, though, giving Esther enough time to bring her hands up to reduce the impact. She was in no position to twist her head out of the way. Slamming her hands knuckle first into her own face, Lia could be said to have successfully made Esther punch herself. The brunt of the blow had been deflected but the force was still strong enough to send Esther back to the mat with a yelp of pain.

If Lia was Esther, she'd probably have said something now that she had gotten a temporary advantage. Thankfully, she wasn't Esther, or else she'd probably would have said something dumb again. Esther's hand got in the way in the last second, but the strike still got the result Lia wanted, Esther was pretty much downed.

Lia would grab for her arm, and assuming Esther didn't punch her in the face a million times, she'd get down, wrapping her legs around the limb. She wanted to get Esther in an armbar, pulling back on the arm. It probably wouldn't get the boxer to tap, even if successful, but it'd definitely help her out in getting closer to winning.

Esther was still rocked by that knee strike and for a brief moment was not trying to punch Lia in the face. Before long, the albino had the boxer's arm wrapped up in the armbar. Esther shrieked in pain as the hold was applied, wrenching back on her arm. Esther's face twisted in a vicious snarl as she tried to fight back but there was little leverage to work with. "Eeyyyah! Let go! Let go of me right now, you freaky white monster! Dammit!" Esther's fight experience prevailed, though, and she focused instead on trying to reach the ropes before Lia twisted her arm right off.

Freaky white monster? Really? That wasn't even that clever! Lia wasn't focusing on the quality of Esther's insults though, her goal was to keep Esther's arm locked up. She noticed Esther's other arm was reaching for the ropes, but there wasn't any way Lia could reach over and stop her without breaking the hold herself.

So Lia just pulled back harder, keeping Esther in the painful hold until she was told to let Esther go. Once Esther grabbed the ropes and the ref girl came over, Lia unwrapped her legs and backed a careful distance away from the boxer.

"Gaaah!" Esther continued to howl in pain and determination as she fought against the hold to barely reach the ropes, and even as she did, Lia kept the hold locked in as long as possible. As soon as she was freed, Esther curled up, clutching her arm, whining. "Enh... ow..." She rose up slowly, clutching the ropes, staring daggers at Lia, a furious, pain snarl on her face as she shook out her wounded arm. She could not believe that pale freak had hurt her that bad. Esther swore to beat Lia's face until it was crimson... with her other arm, of course.

Esther switched stances, found her footing, and then leaned back into the ropes, springing off of them into a run. With a howl of anger, Esther would leap up and try to nail Lia with a flying punch right to her face.

Esther looked mad. Lia saw the glare she was giving, and if it was anywhere outside of the ring, Lia might have ran looking for the nearest bomb shelter.

Lia blinked, and it seemed like Esther had flew all from the ropes in that span of time. A fist buried itself at the bridge of her nose, dead centre in her pale face. Yep, Esther was pretty mad. The punch was painful and extracted a loud grunt of pain, getting Lia to stagger backwards.

"Ahahahaaaa!" Esther cackled like a madwoman as she landed after that punch, Esther followed up on instinct, swinging up with her other arm to try to nail Lia with an uppercut... but with her arm that Lia had put through the ringer earlier. Pain shot through her, and her punch came up just slow and weak enough that Lia could easily deflect or dodge it if her brains were rattled too much by the all the previous shots to the head Esther had delivered to her.

Lia was not going to sleep well (or maybe too well) tonight. She came forward again, her sight not entirely focused after several concussion-worthy hits. She just barely moved away from Esther's surprisingly slow rising fist, just grazing her chin. Lia would try to bring an arm around and behind Esther, intending to wrap it around her neck.

The armbar proved to be the gift that kept giving, especially for a boxer. Lia moved quick (Quick enough to convince Esther that the girl had not yet been punched in the face nearly enough.). She side-stepped Esther's follow-up and got in behind her, locking a grip around her neck. "Agh!" Eshter yelped, clutching at Lia's arm and trying to pull it free. "Not again, stop that right now!"

"No way!" But with Esther pulling so hard on her arm, Lia probably couldn't keep hold too much longer. But a little bit of time was better than no time, so Lia kept her grip as best she could.

Ideally, Lia could win just like this, but the odds of that were roughly the same as Esther not punching her the soon-approaching instant she got free.
