Not Knowing What To Expect: Veronica Vs Toshiko

Toshiko really did have no idea what was about to come from this match. In her hands lay the folder describing the fighter she was about to face. Toshiko was usually quite cocky at this point. She would usually boast in her head about how this girl was about to be putty in her hands. However for the first time in history Toshiko stood silent staring down at the picture infront of her.

It was almost as if the woman was actually in the room, the stare from her eyes; even though it was just a photograph seemed to penetrate to the back of Toshiko's head. Toshiko closed her eyes and closed the folder and threw it against the wall, the only sound in the room being the loud clap the heavy paper slammed into the wall and dropped to the ground a second later. The folder did not give much away about the fighter. She was hoping her friends could of complied more information about her moves and techniques, but nothing came back, just a picture and a few notes about her past. Most of which was completely irrelevant to Toshiko

Nevertheless it was time for her fight. With a small sigh Toshiko walked out of her changing room and made her way up onto the ramp. She threw her arms into the air as her theme song (a piano tune she did herself) blared out over the speakers of the arena. Toshiko decided it was best to not show weakness and keep up appereances. She climbed into the ring and brushed down her normal attire, her white shirt that came to just below her chest and her jeans, that only consisted of one leg.

Toshiko gave a spin around, her long strands of blue hair spinning around her until she came to a halt , the hair resting just above her feet. With that display complete she walked to her corner and leant against the turnbuckle, awaiting to see what horror would come next.

A heavy precussion beat echoed throughout the arena as soon as Toshiko was finished, lights flickering blue red and white as they signified the in0ring return of one Veronica Gannon.

"Here we go again..." she groaned as she slid in. "Right, you. Can you make this quick and just lay down while you still got a set of teeth? Some of us have better places to be." She asked Toshiko, not really caring about this match other than the paycheck at the end of it.

She was everything Toshiko feared she would be. The badness seemed to confirm it. Not that Toshiko had anything against it, it was just it made her look scary. Maybe that was the look she wanted to go for, but all Toshiko knew was it was scaring her.

Once she was in the ring, Toshiko pushed off the turnbuckle and took a few steps forward, making sure to stay out of immediate lashing range of the female

"Better places to be? You don't look like a wrestler, just a thug they dragged off the street and offered money. That is more than likely the only reason you are here, isn't it? and no, i like my teeth, but i am can't say the same for yours at the end of this"

Veronica's eyes rolled back as Toshiko taunted her. She wasn't wrong per-say, she was a thug and she had come off the streets because this was a much more stable pay then trying to get Yakuza to pay her back. But still, Toshiko was trying what a lot of people did when faced with a scary animal, try to make themselves look as big as possible in order to scare the thug back. And miss Gannon saw straight through it.

"Cute." She said, throwing off her trenchcoat: revealing her inked up body. "So I guess you're tough enough to take a few free shots to the head and keep going then?" She asked cracking her knuckles.

"I could take anything from you. You are going to learn the hardway. I don't bow down to anyone. Not even walking peices of artwork" Toshiko sniggered when Veronica took off her trench coat. Toshiko herself too a step forward until they were practically right infront of each other

The bell suddenly rang and Toshiko took a step back and held her arms out "Go on. I think your gonna need these free shots" She grinned at Veronica

Veronica raised an eyebrow when Toshiko offered her a free shot. Only two types of people offered free hits, those stupid enough to think they could tank them and those using it to set up a trap. "Free shots? Nah, this ain't that kind of work." She said, taking a step towards the Japanese woman, enough so she could look down on her as she flashed her a manic grin.

"This line you don't get anything for free, got it? You don't get gifted shots like that just because some git's feeling tough enough to take your best shot. No, here if you want something you gotta earn it, THEN TAKE IT!" She yelled as her fist quickly shot up, aimed for Toshiko's belly. No free shots here, but there'd be enough cheap shots to spare.

Toshiko let out a soft grunt as Veronica's fist slammed into her stomach, causing her to double over right infront of the female. Toshiko stayed doubled over and just chuckled deeply.

"You call that a punch? That was not a punch, this is a punch" With that Toshiko would come back up with a uppercut to Veronica's jaw, hoping to lift her off the mat altogether with the raw power of the strike! "Don't try to fight with the best hun, your only gonna get smacked around!"
