Rainbows and Roses: Dixie Clemets vs Rainbow Mika

Mika was clutching her face and kicking her legs as she lay floored by Dixie's knee strike, her skull still ringing like a bell from the powerful blow. She shook her head, clearing out the cobwebs-- she had a hard head, and it took more than this to leave her dazed-- and sat back upright.

Just, it turned out, as Dixie was launching her leg drop. Mika only had enough time to give Dixie a half-second long deer-in-the-headlights look before the Texan's knees ploughed into her midsection. "Gggghaghk!" Mika gagged, before she collapsed, moaning a little as she clutched her midsection.

Dixie saw Mika sitting up, but it was too late for the woman. She dropped like a rock towards Mika, both of her knees driving downwards into her midsection. The cowgirl bounced off her afterwards, a grin crossing her face as she heard Mika's gagging noise. That had done a solid number to the Rainbow Warrior, she could tell, and she wasn't about to let up there.

Again the cowgirl started to rise back up to her feet, leaning down as she did so to try and snatch Mika by her wrist. She gave her a strong tug, trying to pull Mika back up to her feet along with her. "Up ya go, girly..." She muttered towards Mika as she did so, and once the two of them were up on their feet again, her grip on the woman's wrist would tighten, as she tried to whip her fellow blonde straight across the ring and into a corner.

"Errrnnh..." Mika's teeth were gritted as she sucked in air, the last hit by Dixie having expelled all of hers from her lungs. She had to admit, Dixie was off to a great start so far-- certainly more so than in their last match-- and it dawned on her that she could be in quite a bit of trouble now.

She didn't have much time to think on this, though, as her arm was grabbed and she was hauled up to her feet. Still clutching her midsection, she was too slow to launch a counter before Dixie whipped her across the ring. Her legs move of their own accord, and as she tried to right herself, she was rewarded by the painful sensation of her back slamming against the corner post. "Ugh!" Her chest heaved as she lay sprawled in the corner, breathing heavily from the sharp pain in her back.

Dixie didn't waste even a second as Mika slammed into the corner post. Without a moment's hesitation, she called out to her, her voice loud and clear. "Here I come, Mika!" She yelled, as she began to run towards her, moving with the speed and intensity of a charging bull. At the last moment, as she neared Mika, she jumped slightly off the mat, opening her arms wide, with the full intent to splash her larger, taller body into her rival's, wanting to smash the girl between herself and the turnbuckle post.

At that moment, Mika was in a world of pain:her midsection had been nailed hard by Dixie's knees, her own knees were throbbing with pain, and now her back was hurting as well. For a brief moment, she was rendered immobile, sprawled weakly in the corner post, trying to summon the strength to move.

Dixie's loud call to her was, ironically enough, the wake-up call that she needed. Her eyes opened, just in time to see Dixie's tall, powerful body in mid-air, silhouetted against the arena lights. Acting almost on instinct, Mika willed herself to move, spinning sideways to avoid Dixie's oncoming splash.

Dixie closed her eyes as her own body flew towards that of Mika. She was ready to feel the rush of her body colliding into Mika's own, ready to feel herself smash into her rival, to rattle her around even more...

...but instead, Dixie felt the sharp, sudden pain of herself smashing right into the corner, her frontside impacting hard against the turnbuckle. With a loud cry, almost a scream, of surprise and agony, she staggered backwards out of the corner, grabbing her chest with both hands, clutching herself in pain. She winced, an ache running through her body, as she dazedly turned her head to look for Mika.

Mika, as it so happened, was right behind her rival, staggering up to her feet. The hit she had taken to her knees earlier made movement difficult, but not so difficult that she was out of the match just yet. As she staggered upright, she noticed, with faint surprise, that Dixie was right in front of her with her back turned.

Taking a deep breath, Mika lunged forwards and hugged Dixie from behind, her arms crossing the Texan's taut waist just below her breasts. Arching back, Mika tried to catch Dixie with a heavy move of her own and nail her with a back body drop!

The feel of Mika's arms snaking around her waist, pulling her in tight, was a wake up call to Dixie, snapping her out of her daze. She looked down just in time to see Mika's arms locking around her body, her own hands quickly shooting up to grab at Mika's hold and to try and pry her arms loose, but it was too late. Up, off of the mat Dixie rose, her eyes going wide as Mika lifted her through the air, and the next thing she knew she was falling backwards towards the canvas again.

"Urgh!!" She cried out, as her hit the mat spine-first. Any pain she still had running through the front of her body was forgotten, as now her back was aching from the powerful slam. Dixie's eyes rolled back into her head as she let out a deep groan, mentally kicking herself her letting Mika catch her off-guard like that, as she lie there beside of the feisty Japanese powerhouse.

Even after Dixie was slammed to the mat, Mika lay on her own back for a few seconds, taking a brief amount of time to catch her breath and recuperate. Taking a deep breath, Mika gingerly rolled over, getting up to her hands and knees while still holding her sore back. She had been lucky to make that escape, she thought to herself as she noted Dixie lying next to her.

Without wasting any more time, Mika draped her body across Dixie's, her chest pressing against the Texan's as she reached back and hooked one slender, rawhide-clad leg for the pinfall. The ref girl began the countdown. "ONE..."

Dixie offered no resistance to Mika, as she draped herself over the cowgirl's body, lying atop her and pressing down on her. She was far from being out of this match, but if Mika wanted to try and pin her, she would gladly take a second or two to steady herself. That backdrop had hurt something awful, and any break that Mika wanted to give her was fine by Dixie.

Up into the air her leg came, and down to the mat the referee dropped, shouting out the first count. Dixie lied there, still and unmoving aside from the steady rise and fall of her chest as she breathed deeply, slowly pushing up against Mika and back down again with each breath taken. "TWO..." the referee practically shouted, announcing the second count for all to hear. Dixie waited, biding her time, trying to milk every restful second she could get out of this, as the referee's hand dropped to the mat again.

The moment before it struck the canvas, before the final count could escape the referee's lips, Dixie suddenly bucked her body upwards, breaking the count and trying to throw Mika off of herself!
