[Pendant Match] Standard: Captains Battel! Adrian Vs. Angel

Adrian returned Angel's smile with a frown as she tried to get on her knees, rubbing the back of her neck. "K..." She let out, unable to really think of a decent enough retort. "What kind of person hopes their opponent doesn't give up?" She mumbled, if the roles had been reversed: she'd have been satisfied with a quick win. Would have meant less time in the med-bay getting all the bumps plastered afterward.

"The kind who knows she's going to win anyway, that's what kind," Angel replied back to her taking a few short steps back towards Adrian. It seemed like that suplex still had her rattled, and Angel wasn't going to waste the chance to follow through with it. She reached out, trying to grab Adrian by the arm to 'help' her the rest of the way to her feet, then she would try and whirl the girl around, attempting to Irish whip her straight into the closest corner.

"Wha!" Adrian yelped as she was whipped into the corner, spinning out so she hit it back first and keep an eye on the Latina, but it didn't stop the impact of 3 not-padded-enough turnbuckles crashing with her back at high speed hurting like hell.

The moment she release Adrian with the whip, Angel took off herself, chasing after her. When the cosplayer smashed into the turnbuckle, Angel was right there behind her, rushing in to splash her body up against Adrian's own, trying to smash her between herself and the corner.

"OooF!" Adrian let out as the Latina slammed straight into her, sandwiching the cosplayer between Angel and the turnbuckles and leaving her no where to fall down. Whatever advantage she had had in this match had quickly vanished.

Angel took a step back from Adrian after she smashed into her. She had honestly thought her fellow rankings competitor would have put up more of a fight against her, but she wasn't going to say no to an easy win like this.

Regardless of whether or not Adrian remained standing after she stepped away, Angel would grab for her wrist again, moving to pull her out of the corner. "Look sharp, chica!" She playfully called out again, trying to whip her all the way across the ring again, into the opposite corner.

Adrian staggered forward when Angel gave her some breathing space, straight into another one of the Latin beauty's Irish whips, but this time the cosplayer wasn't just going to take it. Anchoring down after a few steps and while Angel still held on, the cosplayer pulled as hard as she possibly could to whip Angel into the corner instead of her

Angel was not expecting the reversal from Adrian. She had assumed that this match was already in the bag and she'd be walking out with an easy win.

Her mistake.

Angel's eyes went wide as Adrian dug into the mat, reversing her whip and sending the Latina across the ring. Her arms flailed almost helplessly as she shot towards the corner, luckily able to turn herself at the last moment that she faced out of it, her back hitting it instead of her more sensitive frontside. Still though, that had hurt like hell, a cry of pain escaping her lips as she leaned against the corner, squirming around against the turnbuckle.

The cosplayer was by no means satisfied with just sending Angel into the corner, in a mirror of what the Latina did to her she charged after the high-ranked competitor only instead of splashing her in the corner, she had something a bit fancier and hopefully more effective planned.

As she got close enough in her run she'd put one foot on the ropes and use the momentum to carry herself upward, rocketing Adrian's knee into Angel's jaw with a corner variation on the ever popular in japan: Shinning Wizard.

Angel was stunned. It was more the surprise of Adrian's reversal than actually hitting the corner that left her in this state, but regardless, she was stunned, left wide open when Adrian suddenly came charging in. Through the air the cosplayer rose, her knee smashing straight into Angel's jaw with a solid 'thud' sound. The Latina's head snapped backwards, and she slumped down to the mat, her head rolling to the side as she came to rest in a seated position, leaning against the corner with her arms outstretched over the ropes.
